We had a really great experience with Joe. He came to fix an old shower in the basement. He's very efficient and knowledgeable. He is definitely the guy you want to call for all your plumbing needs. We are very happy with his services and highly recommend him.

Joe did a great job for us. Had a toilet go bad on a weekend with the house full of out of towners in for a wedding.
He came out on a Sunday without the high Sunday rate you might expect. He is a hard worker, and a nice guy. He was able to replace our old toilet and get thing going again at a reasonable price.

We were having problems with our new bathroom sink draining. I called Joe's Plumbing and scheduled an appointment. The next day, Joe and his apprentice came out and assessed the situation. Joe determined that our issue was indicative of a larger problem, a drum trap. Apparently, drum traps were common in older Chicago homes and tend to cause water backup in sinks and tubs. Joe explained the process to address the drum trap but provided immediate service to the clog. They rodded the sink drain and were able to remove a good portain of the blockage. I was very impressed with their level of professionalism and thoroughness. I would definitely recommend this company if you are looking for a plumber with knowledge, expertise, and attention to detail.

Fantastic service, response time and work on plumbing. Ran into an issue with old pipes being clogged up in the kitchen and Joe was able to give us all the information needed to get it done right. Great person and work from Joe! Plan on using him for any future needs for our plumbing. 5 stars!

Joe and Mark came out after I had some tree roots snarl up my main sewer line. He worked the problem, and was eventually able to clear out the line. Both Joe and Mark were professional, explained everything and didn’t waste any time trying to address the problem. We had water backing up into our basement on NYE and wasn’t sure if we’d be able to get someone out but they came out fast. Extremely impressed with their work and professionalism. Can’t recommend them enough for any plumbing needs!

We were having problems with our shower drain with the water going down really slowly. We were getting black soot coming out after plunging the drain. We tried all the recommendations about a clogged drain on Google and nothing seemed to work. We called Joe's Plumbing and the came out the next day and got our shower drain working right away. They explained what the problem was and how they were going to fix it. Price was very reasonable. They were very professional. I would highly recommend them for any plumbing issues you may have. We’ve used Joe for years, from new water heater installation, to drain clogs, to fixing janky DIY plumbing from the previous owner. Joe does incredible work for a fair price and is very responsive. I wouldn’t use anyone else!

So glad we found Joe for our kitchen plumbing problem. Found the leak in the wall from an old galvanized corroded pipe and fixed it with no issues. Great guy, great service and great pricing! I also have a sump pump with pipe issues in the basement that need to be addressed in the near future and Joe is the guy I’m calling. Thank you Joe and Mark!

Same day response for two issues-- a leaking kitchen sink and a slow draining tub that needed a new drain plug. Quick work and Joe/company are really nice people! Also, he let our dogs help...super pet friendly. 😆😆

Joe was great! He was very responsive, friendly, and professional from the start. We were seriously worried we had a major issue in the building that would cost us an arm and a leg, but Joe showed up quickly, diagnosed the problem right away, and—thankfully—it turned out to be something small he could fix on the spot. I bought a 100-year-old two-flat in 2020 and live on the first floor while renting the second floor. I’ve worked with several plumbers since moving in, and Joe has by far been one of the best and the ONLY plumber I have continuously used. He always gets back to me promptly and rarely has to reschedule, unlike other plumbers with whom I’ve worked. I appreciate that he thoroughly explains things and lets me learn from him as he works. I also like that he knows code and remains pragmatic - presenting all options and explaining code but starting with a lower cost, sensible option first. On a side note, Joe also has great taste in music, and I enjoy jamming with him on larger projects.

I originally hired a handyman to remove and install a new toilet. He stated that the hole for the floor where the toilet goes is too big and that the toilet will always be rocking. I finally realized that I could not deal with it anymore and decided to hire a plumber- Joe the Plumber. He came out and a relatively easy fixing of a rocky toilet turned out to be a bigger job than what was expected. But he handled it like a champ. He took photos, kept me updated on what is going on, and told me step by step what was wrong and how the was going to fix it. The wax ring is something that he said that he never saw before. The flange was broken so he had to obtain another one and it took a few days to get them and make another appointment for Joe to come back. No worries- I had another bathroom. Joe got several different ones (different sizes as well) to see which would be best to fit my toilet. He put a better quality flange and a new wax ring and fitted it so it wouldn't rock, he put a new water line to the toilet, put new bolts and caps, even fixed the uneven water tank that the old handyman put on, and cleaned up all of the mess. He did a great job- fixed the rocky toilet and made sure that it wouldn't happen again by fitting it properly. I definitely recommend! Thanks so much!

I had an excellent experience. Their response time and communication were outstanding, even though it was a weekend. They came on short notice to resolve a toilet leak that was causing water to drip from the 2nd floor Unit to the 1st floor in my rental property. They handled the issue quickly and professionally, which gave me peace of mind as a landlord. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again or recommend them to others.

Both owner Joe and his associate Mark showed up pretty much on time and kept me apprised of their eta especially considering it was on the coldest day of the year with other frozen pipe calls they had to make . They were personable, professional and they completed the job within an hour or so and left everything clean as well!
