Reviews of local pros in Hoffman Estates, Illinois

I can only provide positive comments about Great Oaks. From my initial meeting with Brayan, scheduling with the office, Manuel’s management of the work done, and overall efficiency of a project well done. The crew was professional and extremely attentive in their work. They were mindful of insuring no property damage and may sure not to infringe on my neighbors property. I would not hesitate to have them back and highly recommend them for any tree service you need.

The Great Oaks team did a great job trimming huge trees in our yard. B/c our backyard is not accessible to big equipment they had to use a tree climber for the trimming. Fun to watch! Working with Nate was easy - he stopped over to discuss my project, sent a quote right away, checked in during the work and was very flexible to add on a few more trees that needed trimming. Very reasonable price, friendly team, efficient, responsible, cut and stacked the wood we wanted to keep and cleaned everything up nicely. Will definitely call Nate and the Great Oaks team for any future tree work.

Nathan came to provide a fair quote very quickly. I chose Great Oaks due to best price. The crew showed up on a rainy day and debated the safety of proceeding. Eventually the rain stopped and they completed the work on three trees in the predicted six hours. The crew was very polite and listened carefully to all my instructions about where to fell the tree, where to pile debris and left me a pile of chips as I requested. The lawn was not damaged and everything was done according to my requests. Nathan was very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. I would choose them again.

Nathan and Great Oaks were incredible to work with. We had a gigantic silver maple that 5 other companies wouldn't touch. Nathan showed up and had 0 concern. They we able to remove it without any trouble and got it done in 6 hours. I highly recommend Great Oaks and would use them again without question.

Our 3 large trees came down safely and the team was nice, but everything else didn’t go as smoothly as we would have liked.

They only used 1 piece of plywood to protect the lawn from the tractor going back and forth in the yard. We were left with 2 large lanes of dead grass going from the road to our backyard. This was disappointing since it could’ve been prevented by putting more plywood down to protect the lawn.

The large trunk pieces weren’t lowered slowly, but free fell causing large holes/dents in the yard. The team did come back to fill them with dirt upon request.

When grinding the stumps, we were left with huge piles of dirt/mulch. I knew the mulch would be left, but I didn’t expect them to be nearly that big. We were able to work with the project manager to get the excess removed.

The side trees were cut shorter, but no reshaping or angling was done.

Work was completed in a timely manner and they communicated responsively throughout the project.

Nathan is a true professional. Great Oaks Tree Service is a reputable company helping us in our time of need. I highly recommend this family owned business. This tree service had all the necessary equipment, courteous and skilled workers, and a stellar cleanup process. Do yourself a favor and use this company. I highly recommend!!

We hired Great Oaks to take down a very large maple tree as well as cut
Large limbs off another maple. The trees could not be dropped on ground due to a cement slab and the job they did was amazing. The large limbs
Actually had to be lifted over our home which was a little worrisome,
Due to all the snow but not a branch was dropped on home. I definitely
Would give them a 5 star plus. The team did an amazing job working together and cleaning up as well as hauling the tree away. Price for hiring them was very reasonable as well. Thank you all for the amazing job you all did.
If your thinking of hiring this company read all the great reviews, the couple
That are not so good are obviously not what many customers experienced 🙄.
We dealt alot with Ceasar and he was
Beyond knowledgeable and made sure the entire process ran smooth
Thanks Ceasar!!

The team was professional and worked with such harmony! My tree was probably equivalent to 3-4 trees, it was matured.
The team was careful to make sure the heavy equipment did not damage the grass or cement. The location of the tree required them to carefully position the base of the equipment.

Highly recommended! They completed the work on a timely manner.

Great service and would recommend

Very good and reputable company. Would recommend for soot removal

My son called these contractors to do a restoration job for my parents. Couldn’t have asked for a better company to handle the job.

I called a few mitigation companies after a flood that was NOT covered by my insurance. The Fire Restoration Team responded immediatley and offered a fair cash price for us.Our basement was quickly restored. Thank you!!

My insurance company recommended this company after we suffered a small kitchen fire, which was a stressful situation for my family. We could not be happier with the service provided. No more odor in the house! Thank you so much!

TFRT is efficient and very professional. They are a jack of all trades when it comes to services like; odor removal, air filtration, structural repair, drywall replacement, and more. I couldn't recommend them enough!

Very professional customer service from the Fire Restoration Team! My questions were answered and I felt like I was dealing with experts on the phone. They were fast and offered to do an estimate. Everything else was easy from there! Highly recommend

The crew at The Fire Restoration Team went above and beyond in servicing my grandparent's home in Plato Center. When his technicians came to do a house fire cleanup, they also did a free water damage and mold inspection. Thank God they did because they found and removed black mold in my relative's basement. Must have formed from a previous basement flood. Anyways, I would definitely recommend them, especially if you live in the Chicagoland area!

I had a fantastic experience with The Fire Restoration Team. They understood that no two situations are alike, and this personalized approach set them apart. Their water damage services are top-notch, from water extraction to dehumidification, they have the equipment and expertise to handle any job effectively.

The free onsite evaluation really helped us navigate the disaster and take some of the stress off our shoulders. The team was very friendly and helped assist in all odor removal, board-up services, and air filtration. They exceeded our expectations for restoring our kitchen after a small fire. We could not be happier!

Steve and Susie at The Fire Restoration Team did great job getting rid of the smoke damage in our kitchen. They also did a free mold inspection of our bathroom which was much appreciated.

We have used G-Cat company for our concrete driveway and for installing concrete overlay on our front steps. We've been enjoying our new driveway for a year now and are pleased with the quality and appearance. This year, they resealed our driveway as well. In addition to providing high quality work, they also have excellent business ethics. Definitely recommend them.

The G-CAT team was a delight to work with in every detail! We cannot recommend them too highly. The team worked hard, were smart in their execution and design and delivered a beautiful, finished driveway, sidewalk and epoxy garage floor with exceptional quality. Although their quote came in higher than others, we felt more confident in their ability to deliver reliable work. They recently replaced another concrete sidewalk with the same quality workmanship. We plan to annually use them for driveway sealant and perhaps other jobs.
