Look elsewhere for your landscaping needs. These guys laid a seed blanket on my lawn and ruined it. The entire area where the seed blanket was turned to weeds. They originally were very customer friendly and alleged to stand by the quality of their work. Then they stopped responding to my texts or calls. Reasonably priced but you get what you pay for. I had to hire another company to hopefully fix their mess.

Called about service. The person that answered hung up on me when I asked questions.

I called to get an estimate and they gave me an estimate over the phone. Really! Without even seeing my lawn. He said that is the charge for Shorewood! Well, I live in a duplex not a house so don't you think you should come over and see what I am looking for? I guess they don't need the business. Thanks Latinos Landscaping!

Called to get free estimate. The guy that answered said he would stop by either Wednesday or Thursday around 6 after he got off work. No call no show both days. My time is just as important as his...if he couldn't be courteous to call or text, then I will take my business to someone more professional.

I would never recommend this company. I had four retaining walls installed. The first three were fine however the fourth one either was too tough because of the geometry (which it was rectangle with rounded edges)or they were just tired of working and wanted to get paid. I talked to ray about it and at first he tried to convince me that it was an optical illusion and that the walls were square and both corners were symmetric. After he saw that I wasnt falling for it he said that it would get fixed, now two years later the corner of the wall is still too large and the wall is still crooked and angled back at least two feet away from where it should be.

I had Tepa Landscaping install a 20X28 paver patio in early summer of 2017. It turned out pretty good. The only real complaint was that I was told the 20 foot dimention would be to the inside of the sitting wall. When the job was complete it was 20 feet to the outside of the wall. I lost 9 inches of useable patio down the whole length of my patio. I paid for those 9 inches.... I wouldn't even be mentioning that if it weren't for what I'm about to talk about and the reason for this ZERO star review. In the spring of 2018 I had Tepa add a natural gas firepit to the patio. When the job was complete I was not happy. The decorative fire glass in the pit was not covering the burner. Joe said he would take care of it. He brought 2 more small bags. There is still not nearly enough fire glass. There is literally a 1 peice of glass layer covering the burner. The peices of glass have to be strategically placed to mostly "cover" the burner. Come on man.... Now the worst part with my experience with Tepa. I was not happy with the flame height from the firepit. Prior to having the job done I inquired about the gas technician that they claim they hire to hook up the gas line. I wanted to know if the gas tech would verify that I would have enough gas flow and pressure to allow satisfying results. I was assured it would be looked at. My major issue with Tepa is that at the first sign of an concerned customer they ran. I was never mean and never yelled. I was only able to talk with Joe a couple times about the situation before he stopped answering or returning my calls. I have spoken to several people in the patio and fireplace industry that feel that I should have about double the flame height that I have. Not one person has said that it sounds right. I paid Tepa a total of $22,950 in less than a year for them to abandon me at the first sign of trouble. They never even tried to help. I was never left any manuals or paperwork on the burner or valves or gas technician used. I had Nicor come out to verify the pressure at my meter was good and it checked out. I am having a hard time finding any other company to come out to take a look at it. And the kicker is that when Joe was there to do the firepit he replaced the coping cap on a piller that had some weird staining on it. He replaced it with the wrong color so now it doesn't match the rest of my patio. Bottom line, do not hire these guys. They do not care about their customers. They take your money and run. Now my 2 year warranty on the patio is probably useless since they refuse to even talk to me. Real classy....

I was really happy I hired TEPA Landscaping. I hired them to do some paver patio work and landscaping around my backyard in Lockport. TEPA gave a fair price and got the work done pretty quickly. Ray was helpful with suggestions and keeping the project moving. The landscaping crews were nice to work with, and cleaned up after themselves. I would hire TEPA Landscaping again for my next project and recommend them everyone.

TEPA's work is absolutely amazing craftsmanship! I cannot recommend a finer company when it comes to superb craftsmanship, service and reliability. I have referred Ray Plasencia and his crew to many friends and relatives and they never disappoint. TEPA built my brick paver patio, stairs, and walkways and after 9 years (and several River floods) they look as new as the day Ray's team built them! They have held up beautifully despite times that the Kankakee River has risen and rushed through the patio and stairway. You will be extremely happy with TEPA.

Tepa landscaping has the best landscapers around. Jose does a great job leading the group. He is very friendly, understanding, and reliable. He always puts his customers first and his workers are hard working individuals. I recommend Tepa landscaping to anyone who is looking for a change in their yard. They WILL NOT disappoint!

Tepa went above and beyond their service. My retaining wall and stairs are beautiful! The workers were very professional, hard working and respectful. Every detail was covered from start to finish. This will be enjoyed for years and I truly appreciate all their hard work.

Ray has worked with our family on multiple projects. Now, I have my own home, and any project I have, I talk to Ray. He has great, creative ideas, is reliable, and is an absolute pleasure to work with. I could not be happier with the work he has done, including trees, mulch, and edging. Tepa Landscaping recently completed an approximately 600 square foot, 2-level paver patio and pavilion at our home, as well as removing a couple of bushes & installing plants and stone around our home. We could not be happier! Joe presented a vision to us as to what the completed project would look like. We have to say….he knocked it out of the park! The lighting at the steps, walls and inside the pavilion look great at night. Joe is very professional and easy to deal with. He treated our job as if it were his own home. His crews are some of the hardest working people around. They picked up at the end of every day and were very pleasant to work with. The cost was a very fair price too! We could go on and on. Suffice it to say, you will be extremely happy with Tepa Landscaping & the work that they do. We would definitely hire them for another project. We highly recommend them for any hardscape or landscape jobs you have. You will not be sorry.

My wife & I reached out to a few different landscape companies to inquire about installing a paver patio in our backyard Spring of 2020. Right from the start Ray was very attentive to our needs and not only presented the best design based on what we were looking for, he was also very honest, professional and reasonably priced. Ray and his crew not only had to work during high heat days in the heat of summer in July, but they also did everything by hand and used wheel barrels in our yard so they wouldn't destroy anything. We are VERY happy and impressed with the patio and surrounding landscape, even our neighbors love it. After our patio was installed, we reached out to Ray a few months after to have him install some additional landscaping and he was very responsive and once again helped us. We LOVE working with Ray and his team and would highly recommend him to anyone. We plan on continuing to use him for any additional needs we may have.
