I wanted to work with a small, local company that did all the work themselves, so I chose Reficiency for my solar installation and I am so happy I did!

I dealt directly with Tyler, the young owner/president of the company himself - he was very easy to reach and responsive, by email or text. He came out himself to check out the site and discuss their proposal with me, and he provided me with a list of houses they had worked on in the area for us to check out (which was very helpful, as my wife was particularly concerned about how the solar panels would look).

The whole process went smoothly, I first emailed Reficiency in March 2022, signed the contract in April, installation went without a hitch in mid-July (it took less than a day), and we got the go-ahead from ComEd to turn on the array in late August.

I couldn't have been happier with the whole process - we are now generating power on our roof, the quality of the equipment and the installation was top-notch, the cost was very competitive, and the all-black SunPower panels look great, they are sleek and unobtrusive.

I am very happy I made the decision to use Reficiency to install my solar panels. I have an 18 panel 6.48 KW array that will offset 100% of my electrical consumption. Every step of the process was well communicated and professionally managed. Working in construction myself, Tyler provided the level of service I had hoped for. The installation looks great. The installers were clean and conscientious of my home and neighbors. Tyler followed through on all my requests and kept me informed throughout. I would definitely recommend talking to Tyler if you’re interested in installing solar panels!

Tyler and his team are very responsive and did a good job with the installation. From the initial contact, he answered many specific questions and worked with us to find the best products that met our needs. He cares about his work and has great attention to detail. Tyler and Matt at Reficiency Solar were truly great every step of the way. Their entire setup is designed to save you money...there is no separate sales staff or other general overhead expenses that they need to pass along to you. Tyler and Matt were the ones that came out to my house to talk about the process, put together a very well priced proposal, and did the actual install of the solar panels. Tyler even made sure to talk with me before installing the electrical conduit and talk through the best place to locate it. He also took care of the paperwork for the rebates which took away all of the stress for me in having to deal with this process. In the end, the installation of the panels went very smoothly and they look great!

All in all, the guys at Reficiency really did great work and take pride in what they do. It’s not just another job to them...they truly care and work to make sure you’re informed and happy with the final result. It definitely feels good to be able to do what I can to reduce my family’s carbon footprint and I would definitely recommend Reficiency Solar to anyone else that’s interested in reducing theirs.

Tyler, Matt, and the other folks at Reficiency Solar provided an excellent experience at a great rate. They did as big of a job as you can for our house (27 panels) and everything check out with the inspectors without any problem.

During the process, Tyler was incredibly helpful, kind, and informative when going over the proposed project and different approaches that were available. Based on his calls and input, I was able to make a better informed decision than just based on my own independent research I had done up to that point.

Everything from installation times to responses were very timely (Tyler even answered a question while on his honeymoon despite me saying to wait until he returned, just by way of example). Reficiency Solar was never the bottleneck for anything -- that mostly came from processing paperwork and the like. Applications for rebates were all filed quickly and effectively (and Tyler knows these thoroughly and can explain some of the nuances that are hide to find despite being public information).

Overall, a terrific experience and I am glad I was able to work with the team. Highly recommended!

Had a great experience working with Tyler and his crew. He did an excellent job explaining the advantages of several different system configurations and took the mystery out of net metering and the Illinois Shines program. Installation was flawless and they took extra care to make sure the system looks as good as it performs. Am already looking to work with Tyler on another project on my house. Highly recommended.

So I never had a project done by Tyler on my home… but I did work with him for a long time when he started this company. Tyler thought me a lot about discipline and getting things done the right way. Tyler always made sure his customers were satisfied and every job I did with him he made sure the job was as close to flawless as possible. Being a smaller company, he is able to pay more attention to detail. When I get my first home I will definitely be calling Tyler and going Solar! He does great work and more importantly he’s a great dude.

If you're thinking about going solar, definitely get a quote from Reficiency. Working with Tyler and his team was a awesome, and I couldn't recommend them more. Unlike the "big name" companies that I had received quotes from previously, Tyler was able to provide me quotes and comparisons from multiple panel and inverter manufacturers and technologies to find the optimal solution for my roof. Other companies I got quotes from seemed like they were trying to force one brand, or one type of panel or inverter, even if it didn't seem like the best for my home/budget. Tyler paid attention to our budget and project goals, and worked with me to coordinate exactly where the equipment would be installed on my house, how conduit would be run, and how the the system would look. As a local installer, he was way more familiar with the local incentives and permitting process. Many of the "big name" installers gave me mixed information about the Naperville utility incentives, and it seemed like they were guessing sometimes.

His team just finished installing a 12.4kw system on my roof, and we could not be happier with the result. Their team worked fast and got the system running and passed inspection with no issues. The installation is sleek with the low-profile racking they used. Where conduit needed to be exposed, they planned the runs so that they'd blend into the lines on my siding and even painted them to match. Most of the "big name" installers told me they couldn't make any guarantees up front where conduit would go, and several told me they'd charge more if I asked for anything that was not the most direct path or in the attic.

Tyler was great... at first but dont be fooled. Now that we need his help to get our panels working again he is no where to be found. So we are paying for full electric and panels. Thanks tyler!

Got solar system installed a few years ago by this company. Had some issues with inspections getting approved, but it got done, and was working good for a while. Come earlier this year I got an electric bill over $400 and thought that there was a mistake. I look at my Solar Edge app and the system isn't producing any electric. I contacted Tyler, and he said that he lived near by and could come take a look. Was saying it could be optimizers, or animal damage that it would be a little money to come out and troubleshoot it. I have emails back and forth with him, then nothing for a couple months. I reached back out, and He said that there was a case opened and a new inverter was shipped out it should arrive in a week. I have it 2 weeks and nothing, and reached back out to Tyler and heard nothing. My wife reached out to Solar Edge, and they called me the next day. The inverter that was shipped was from 2020 the lady told me, and that the inverter we have is not operational anymore. They shipped to me the next day, and I let Tyler know this, and he didn't respond, so I am forced to find another company to service the system he sold me. Sounds like he will sell a system, but will not support his customers with maintenance of said system.
