Water Damage Restoration reviews in Lombard, Illinois

I discovered water coming in thru the basement drain Wednesday night. Called 3 different restoration services on Thursday. I personally felt most comfortable with Brandon from Cornerstone. He assessed our needs by using devices that read the levels of wetness/dampness throughout our basement. The price was fair (beware that 1 company gave an estimate for the same work but it was double!) 3 workers started work on Friday morning by suctioning out the water, removing the carpet and baseboards and hauled all of it away that day. They also moved all the furniture and sanitized the entire concrete floor. By 5 on that same Friday the basement was emptied of anything remotely wet. They brought in about 12 industrial fans and 1 large dehumidifier. Yes it was loud but it gave me comfort to know it was getting every inch as dry as possible. The equipment stayed till Monday when Brandon returned to check the walls for dampness. Best of all there was No odor!
Today it has been 3 weeks and still no odor.
The reason we got water in the first place was because of tree roots in our drain line. My advice is to rout your drain lines every couple few years. And if you ever take on water make sure you call Cornerstone.

We needed a deep cleaning and sanitation of our unfinished basement and this company really did a great job of informing us of the process, staying on top of managing the job, and the cleanup was terrific. Everyone was kind and courteous as well. Would definitely use their cleaning services again.

Brandon and his team are fabulous!!! In a very stressful situation, him and his team put many of my concerns at ease. Not only did they work directly with my insurance company, he assisted with coordinating abatement and contractor work for me as well. He literally was a lifesaver. If I can give more than 5 stars I would!!!

Phenomenal service and communication. I was remodeling a property from out of state to prepare for sale. Brandon was my fifth call when an issue came up with pet odor coming from floors. Within a few days the issue was remedied and Brandon and his crew even helped with another issue that came up during the first job. He sent photos and communicated clearly throughout. The floors now look pristine and it was a very reasonably priced job. We can now list the home. Can’t thank him and his wonderful crew enough. This is the company to use, no doubt!

Cornerstone was an amazing company for our whole house cleaning/fire/fire extinguisher cleanup. Brandon was an attentive, prompt, responsive and knowlegeable project manager, who helped guide us through this process. All of the staff that were at our house were great, efficient and did an excellent job. Cornerstone really helped us through this stressful event, we couldn’t be happier.

For someone who has never experienced water damage before, I’m grateful for Jason for doing such a great job in documenting the overall damage in my home caused by the water leak including areas I wouldn’t have known were affected. This all happened during the holiday season and Jason responded immediately after I called. He walked me throughout the entire process, kept things clear and completed everything on their end promptly.

His team including Robert, Jackie and Habiel also did an amazing job in detaching kitchen countertops and cabinets and thoroughly cleaning the damaged areas. Robert, specifically, kept me updated almost every step of the way as they worked, which I appreciated a lot. Jason also allowed us to keep using his space heaters outside of their work scope while we get our furnace replaced.

If possible, I would give 4.5/5. The only reason the score is not a full score is because I wouldn’t highly recommend the HVAC and repair contractors referred by Cornerstone. I was not satisfied with their work and experienced additional issues.

Overall though, Jason and his team did their job very well. I would highly recommend them for cleaning and restoration!

My parent's water heater suddenly burst the day after Christmas. Cornerstone was recommended to come in to help with mitigation. When I say these were the nicest, most charing people in a time of chaos and anxiety, I am not kidding. Jason and Brandon were amazing. My parents felt safe, heard, seen and valued. Brandon was helpful, supportive and kind. I certainly hope to never experience a water problem but if I did, I wouldn't hesitate to call Cornerstone. I truly can't thank them enough for helping out my parents. The speed, value, empathy and kindness won't ever be forgotten. Thank you!

Great working with Jason and crew. They are professionals and experts at what they do. I also feel reasonably priced. I highly recommend Cornerstone. You will be happy you hired this company to work with! My once wet warped floor boards are back to looking new without the need to refinish!
