They stained the blocks sidewalk with dirt from filling in wholes in the front lawn, after the sidewalk was newly done. That was a few weeks ago. Sidewalks are still stained even after raining. Smh Do not hire them if you want the holes filled in with dirt, unless you have a power washer to wash there mess youself.

Kevin's service is great, quick job on my 30 foot plus tree. Although I think his limited forms of taking payments are a bit Antiquated, he gets the job done!

These guys are really bad. I've had friends hire them and fire them. They rush like crazy and do damage to your property constantly. One friend had cement damage from their huge mowers carelessly hitting her sidewalks. They constantly leave a mess on my yard when doing the neighbors yard and never clean it up. Tired of cleaning up after them!

We called up Kevin's after we couldn't get Groot to take the branches/stumps from a tree we took down ourselves. I was afraid that we would have this giant mountain of branches in our front yard for days before anyone could come and take them away, but Kevin's Landscaping was able to come first thing the next morning! They also gave us the best quote after calling a couple other landscaping companies. And there wasn't a single twig left behind when they were gone! Thanks for helping us so quickly!

I am call them to tell that I emailed a photos that they did not cut the grass in my back yard and the lady is saying to me the guy said he did cut the grass. I am repeating her that I did emailed photos and she is like it looks like a one part is cut but the other one is not. I don’t now what to tell you and hang up on me. Really? How about to cut the grass?

Hire ANBODY but Kevin’s Landscaping for your lawn service. I have NEVER written a negative review for a company but felt compelled to do so because of the dishonesty, poor service, falsification of documentation of services, and lack of customer service that Kevin’s Landscaping demonstrated. I have been a customer for over a year and never had any issues until now. On May 1st I emailed the company to restart my lawn services, since my lawn was in need of weekly mowing. They responded to tell me that service started April 10th and that they had sent a notification through the mail indicating this. I never received that notification or any other mail from them since I have had their service. I checked that the name and address was correct (it was) but I still wasn’t receiving any mail they sent. I also never physically saw them mow the lawn and the lawn never appeared trimmed in April (hence my email on May 1st). The first time I saw Kevin’s cut the grass was May 2nd but when I asked for a record of the days the lawn was cut this wasn’t a date recorded. Instead it was recorded for May 6th. I asked if the bill dates were automatically recorded or recorded at time of service. The company told me it was at time of service. Based on this information the company is either cutting the wrong lawn (and not mine, but charging me) or they are falsifying documentation of services that they provide to their customers. The secretary then kindly suggested I have a manager come out on Monday May 20th to the house to inspect the lawn to determine if it had been cut. Supposedly the manager decided to drop by on Saturday May 20th (when I was not home) took pictures and concluded that the lawn had been cut. However, when I requested these pictures and report they never sent them. Clearly they weren’t ever actually there. They also ensured me a person would come out on May 21st to cut the lawn since they had missed May 20th due to rain. I specifically stayed home to make sure they came and no one showed up. I emailed and then called the following morning in hopes of rescheduling and figuring out what was going on. They demanded I pay the outstanding balance for the 3 weeks in April (which I was just notified of in the second week of May and my lawn never looked cut) and then they would continue to cut the grass. There was no attempt at resolution or addressing any of my concerns. They only made excuses and dismissed my concerns. For all of these aforementioned reasons I cancelled their services and strongly encourage any one considering them to hire ANYBODY else for their lawn services.

I recently cut ties with Kevin’s Landscaping and I base this poor review on their lack of integrity in what they do and customer Service from the owner herself... It all started when I requested in the beginning of the season for them not to cut over the New sod that my village had freshly applied... well in their first visit at my home they totally dismissed my instructions and cut over it. Luckily the sod stuck to the ground and there was very minimal damage . Not only that they left a few uncut patches in my backyard ...So I gave them a call to report the status and they send someone out to survey the negligence. It’s was the so called “owner” as she stated who arrived and she immediately began to defend herself and remind me of my right to find another company ... I mean this was our first encounter (face to face) ever with Kevins Landscaping and she basically told us to do business elsewhere if we want... She didn’t make any effort to resolve the situation cause she was already convinced that they did nothing wrong and what we got is part of the norm... she bragged about how long they been in business and they know what they are doing.... so at that moment I Humbled myself and reset the button on this visit ..
I told her I understand my right to do business elsewhere but I just want what I paid for... if I complain about something it’s because the job has reached a point where it’s not what I asked for nor has it reached the full expectation of what I’m paying for... from then on we moved forward with Kevins landscaping hoping to meet the expectations.. I never defaulted on my behalf, I always paid my bill on time every time.. unfortunately (for them) it got worse from there, I called again to “complain “ knowing If I have to deal with the same character that I dealt with prior, I was not gonna deal with it! Well that’s exactly what happen ! Before she she rudely, obnoxiously, disrespectfully told me to business elsewhere I fired her and stated it was because of her unprofessionalism and treating her clients with no value! Her ego obviously has the tooken over and she has forgotten how God has blessed her with everything that she has!!! Good luck Kevins landscaping!!!!!!!

I don't even know where to start. If you live in LaGrange, Western Springs, Hinsdale, Brookfield do not hire Kevin's. Your property, plants, and cars will likely be damaged. They don't care and don't give them a second chance. Hire professionals or do it yourself. They will not take any responsibility for any damage or even accidental mistakes. Other reviews prove this to be true. Unfortunately the damages and mistakes are too many and too frequent which gives rise to the matter of pride. When someone or a company is outstanding, it shows in their workmanship and professionalism. Too many 1 stars, time to get real. I have a feeling they have some good workers and they should take strives to start his/her own business.

Spring clean up apparently means they butcher the hell out of your garden beds. They cut down plants that were already actively growing and weed whacked about half my ground cover. Uh ground cover is not weeds. So NOT impressed. DO NOT RECCOMMEND!

Have had company 3 years. Prices went up this year contracted with company until September due to Halloween decorations. Called because Friday their workers cut 3-4 feet of my lawn. Contacted price $13.00. Wanted to charge $20.00 to fix their mistake. Picture sent to show error. Very very disappointed on senior treatment.

My neighbor hired this company to do the spring clean up. They came on to my property several times and would not leave despite asking them not to trespass. Had to call the police to finally get them off my property. Last year they did the same spring clean up at my neighbors and managed to damaged my grass in the process. They offered to fix it but they left and never came back.

Today November 23/23 Kevin s landscaping came to the block of 2433 keystone in north Riverside they park in front of my home with two big trucks which is not problem the street is public but I parked behind them close to the corner what they did is terrible they push my car in parking with their truck and left my car in the middle of the street at 25 th. This people are so ignorant to do that if I see them around here I will call the police we already have a video from a neighbor. Stay a way from this company

I'm not a customer of XS Kevins Landscaping (XSKL) and will never will be. I am writing this as a warning to others, do not use XSKL services! My neighbor hired XSKL to do some work in their front lawn and without my consent, my property too. The workers took out a row of Perennials along my driveway, a value of $275, and didn't do anything to fix it. I called the office only to be told "the managers will look into it" and nothing to be done since. I have a row of dirt and weeds now. All perennials gone. Thanks to XSKL. You stole my plants and want them back. Still waiting

Picked up 1/2 facecord of oak from them yesterday. They stayed late so I could come by after work and were extremely easy to work with. If you need high quality cured hardwood for fires or cooking I recommend them.

Professional bilingual service and staff. Bought seasoned wood for a very reasonable price. We got tired of paying $8 plus at Home Depot for 6 pieces of wood. Easy pay and pickup. Thank you!

Used them for my property in broadview had them do a sod install about a year ago did a good job overall. I am using them now for my grass cutting front only as well haven't had any issues so far. Only thing I can say they need to work on is communication if there not coming out to the property a heads up would be highly appreciated had to cut my own lawn early in the month because they didnt show and I was throwing a party.

Excellent and efficient lawn service! Needed removal of small trees and they were available that same day to have it done in less than an hour. Friendly, polite and overall excellent lawn service
