I have had multiple encounters with this company and they have all been terrible. Having the crews blow junk on to properties that they aren't servicing, getting cut off in traffic or just having their employees be rude it all adds up. I wouldn't use this company on a bet. If you want professional and quality landscaping I would suggest you seek it somewhere else because you won't find with with this company.

We've used Hoy for a variety of services over the years. Always very professional and responsive. They may not be the absolute least expensive but are a very good value for the quality of work/service. Recommended.

Hoy has been responsive to my landscaping and yard maintenance needs and keeps the lawn mowed on a weekly basis during the growing season. They also perform snow removal during the winter.

I just had Hoy prune some shrubs and trees in my yard and clean up and rototill a garden bed. The work crew was personable, fast, skilled, and courteous. They even cleaned up some yard waste that had been lying around since last fall!

Hoy Landscaping did a great job of lawn mowing and maintenance. They also did mulching and treatment for weeds, and the lawn looks so very much better. The personnel are good to work with. I highly recommend them.

These guys took about 6 weeks to cut down bushes and remove the stumps. I had to pester them several times to find out what was going on. The job they did was fine and the price was good but lack of communication and being extremely slow makes me not recommend them.

This company is very unprofessional! They blowed leaves from my neighbor's home, which is two doors down from me, and left them in front of the home, which is next to the home they were working on. They just left the leaves and drove away. I called out to them as they were leaving, but they didn't respond. I would NEVER hire this company. I'm giving them one star, because that's the lowest rating available. I called the company, but I am also going to notify the City of Chicago.

I was very disappointed they wouldn't just take care of planting my front of house for different seasons. I've always admired their work . I've been in Galewood 45 years and I can't afford weekly service. I was hoping they would do the different seasons but I guess it's not a big enough job. So sorry for me..

I met a representative March 15, 2019 to get a quote on landscaping the side of my home. After a couple weeks I called to inquire, since I had not received the quote. The receptionist seemed surprised I had not received a quote. She said by the end of the week I would get a call. Know one called. May 6th, I called again and said, "If you can not give me the quote today, don't bother ". The gentleman said someone will call you back today. Know one called.
This was unprofessional and a waste of my time.

We moved from a condo to our home September 2020. We are so glad that we found Hoy Landscaping and are extremely happy that we have them! They know Oak Park really well as they service a lot of homes in this area. We have a 3 yr. old at home that we are watching while working full time so we have no time to take care of our lawn. Dan Horton was literally there the afternoon we closed on the house giving us an estimate! The previous owner left the grass about a foot tall. Hoy was out there the next day to cut it which was amazing!

We use Hoy for lawn mowing, mulching, weed control, and spring/fall cleanup. The crew is the same each week and they always come Tuesdays or sometimes Wednesdays when it rains. We have asked the crew to pick out weeds, to move some bushes around, to clean up some mushrooms growing by the bushes, and without hesitation they do it! Dan is super responsive when I text or call him. Hoy has definitely helped us while we are really busy with our daughter and work. We will continue to use them for our landscaping needs!

We have this company for one of our buildings . Very expensive and overly priced . Snow removal is very sloppy work and they are always delayed in clearing out the snow of our property. Very poor salt distribution ( cheap with salt ) .

We have worked with Hoy over the years, and they always provide exceptional service- Nothing to complain about. Their people are all very friendly, and very well experienced. Highly suggest to anyone looking for landscaping work

The manager, Dan, was terrible to work with. He spoke politely, but ordered something for me (they had planted some trees), and he promised delivery on a certain date. It didn’t arrive and a few days later, I called, talked to someone and Dan was supposed to call back. He didn’t. A few days later I called again, and again spoke to someone and he didn’t call back. I finally canceled the order. The workers who do the landscape work are great, but the management is not. You will be extremely disappointed in their refusal to follow through.

I will respond to your post by saying that I was promised the donut on a Monday, called Wednesday, spoke to someone who said you would call me back. You didn’t. I called back again on Friday and again, you did not call me back. Absent any information since you refused to communicate with me (or have someone call me), I canceled as I was dealing with an unresponsive company.

Your workers dug a hole in the wrong place, planted a tree in a place where another tree had been (according to Mr. Davis, that is to advisable), and other issues. If you want to take this offline and call me (as you should have done to begin with), I’ll explain other issues, including not receiving my warranty. So yes, the one star stands

I’ve been satisfied with their management of my small trees and shrubs as well as occasional lawn fertilization and repair. Would still be using them if we hadn’t sold our house. Definitely recommended.

Hoy landscaping has done an excellent job with maintenance of our lawn and garden for the past 5 years plus snow removal for 2 years. Hoy has also installed new landscaping for us on several occasions and is responsive to our requests. The management team is very professional and courteous.
