Adam’s Power has taken over for Baker Electric to perform an annual maintenance for generators that I own at two separate properties, both in Morris. The work was done on January 14 and 15. I received a text the day each were to be maintained. I have since received an invoice for one but not the other. I called to see where the second invoice was and was told that the second generator had a note indicating that a “motor and circuit board were needed so I was transferred to another department. The next department confirmed the “note” and said someone would be calling me to discuss. Stay tuned…
I did have a question about when each generator was scheduled to be “exercised” each week, but no one seemed to be able to tell me the answer. One generator is at a rental property and I wanted to alert the tenant when to expect the unit to be “exercised” without the tenant becoming concerned. Stay tuned and that one as well…
Big company with not sufficient attention to detail.

Came on wrong day so I was not here but I wanted to be when they came. Did not see an invoice for about 2 weeks. When I saw it, it said reset error code and was ready to run. Not happy with that answer since I had done that before and the error came back. Called to get more information and was not happy with the answer. Was told I had to talk to the manager. When transferred to his phone I had to leave a message which I did. No answer back. Called the next day
same results. Now still waiting for a call back. Maybe a great company but service follow up not the greatest so far.

I called to have my two home generators serviced. The homes are three minutes apart. They show up to service one of the home generators on a Monday. They cannot service the other home generator until a Thursday. There are eight home generators on this block. The service technician is basically servicing two of these generators on the block (not my other one) and then leaving the area. This is not good service. I did not receive a good answer. Why my other generator could not be serviced on the same day that is three minutes away.

Adam's needs to work on communication skills. Schedule my job without talking to me. I was unavailable. Took a week contact me.to reschedule. Came out to do instal and.wantef to change instal because they disnt.order parts they new.they needed.for.months. wanted to do half.the install and come back another day.to.finish the job. Thanks.for.wasting 2 days I said.no.do it all when you have part. You would think.i.would here something from service guy trent. But crickets. 10 days pass and I finally call salesman. He says he will have scheduling call. 3 days latter I called and scheduling no idea what I was talking about. Now the part.i needed is readily available at home depot. Or any supply store. Finally Trent called.me.with just another excuse.of.in competence. In the end we decided.it was best to get.my deposit back thanks for.nothing Adam's. They talk a good game but can't deluver.

The management of this company does not care about their customer! I have left messages four different times to speak to a manager in regards to the failure Of them monitoring my Generator. I have not received a call back from them.

My generator failed. It’s maintenance run and I contacted the 24 hour answering service. Unless I agreed to a $250 charge, the service would not have a technician to call me to tell me whether or not the issue was related to cold weather. I left a message for the office to call me.
I did not receive a return phone call so I called again called again on Tuesday. I left messages asking for a manager to call me again on Wednesday.

I regret having Adams do my annual service is signing up with them for monitoring my Generator. I pay a month monthly fee for nothing.

They’re great for taking your money, but not for the service when you need them.

This place won’t sell parts to you. I would have never used Adam’s for an install had I know you can’t get parts from them! Luckily I found Lee Leger right down the road with parts in stock and happy to sell them to a regular old consumer.

I am less than impressed at the level of service I am receiving. The tech that was sent to repair my one month old generator was not well trained on this new model generator. The tech had no repair parts to
make proper repairs. I have not received any update on the availability of the repair parts or when the tech will return for completed repairs.

I have a 4 year old Generac that won’t start when the temperature falls to 0 degrees. It will start back up when temp rises. After a 6 day wait for service the tech told me there was nothing that could be done to rectify the problem code 1100 overcranking. Online they indicate it might be a regulator problem not supplying enough natural gas when the temperature falls. My tech dismissed that as not a possibility. The tech did have an attachment to warm the oil and another to warm the battery but dismissed both of them as being able to help. I insisted on the oil warmer to at least give me some hope that this $10,000 investment just might kick on when I do need it. I didn’t make this purchase for the right to get service a week later only to be told it wasn’t going to work on the coldest days!

    Update:
I was contacted by Adam’s immediately last night and after discussing my case it was decided they would go over my case on Monday morning with a couìple of their techs and get back to me. They wanted to make sure my concerns were addressed. Then this morning, with the temperature at 2 degrees, I ran my Generac through an exercise and it started on the third cycle after pausing twice.
