Purchased Maytag because of a history of quality and longevity. Definitely wrong this time. Bought a Maytag gas range, the stainless front was coming off out of the box. I ended up finding some high temp adhesive and fixed the front left corner. Months after that repair now the right side is pulled away the same way.
The oven door is terribly lightweight and flimsy. Maytag wouldn't participate the first time, they won't now either. They are definitely not built like they used to be. They only want them to stay functional until the warranty is over. I probably won't buy Maytag again, and do not recommend Maytag. The days of quality and longevity are long gone.
