Construction Company reviews in Oswego, Illinois

New to Illinois, we were pleased with our interactions with Carmody Construction on remodeling our home. The quality of their carpenter's work, Jim, is outstanding and all of their employees are great to work with. Where I feel they could improve their services is providing better project management and clean up services. During most of the project I was having to communicate to multiple people the same information about punch list items that needed to be taken care of and I ended up having to get my own cleaners to come and clean the space before carpet was to be laid. With that said, very minor issues and would recommend them to anyone looking for remodeling.

I wanted to give a shout out to Phil and Colin at Carmody Construction for a job well done! We recently had our roof, siding and gutters replaced by their awesome and hard-working crews.
Initially we were extremely skeptical as they were one of several companies soliciting in our neighborhood. In the past we had a bad experience with a company we referred to as “storm chasers”.
Colin & Phil assured us that Carmody was a very reputable family-owned business who would stick by their products and workmanship. Both explained every detail of what to expect and came up with additional ideas that improved the appearance of our home. They kept us in the loop every step of the way which was appreciated. We had a couple of minor hiccups that were addressed and resolved without any hassles.
The follow up from start to finish by Colin and Phil was greater than I expected. We are extremely happy with the final product and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Carmody did an install of all new windows, siding and gutters for my house. Quality materials and workmanship. Colin and Phil has been in contact with us every step from sales, to completion and follow up, while one of the owners Brad was on site every day when the work was being done. Very happy and would recommend them for the job.

I must take my hat off to Carmody, who replaced my roof and skylights. They came out and surveyed my property. Next, they took their time to explain to me in detail what I needed. The roof and skylights were all replaced in one day. Thank you, Phil and Collin, for your professionalism and fantastic service. I can’t leave out Jessica, who kept me up to date with scheduling, she informed me on when, who, what time, and dates of delivery, no surprises. God Bless the Carmody family.

Fantastic work! Reasonably priced for roof and garage. Zero hidden costs. Roof done in 2 days and gutters in 1/2 day. Workers were on time and hustling! It rained on day one of tear off but they had the roof covered and thankfully no leaks. Super friendly from the sales guys to the workers! Definitely recommend!

Having my roof replaced. Working with Eric Johnson from Carmody Construction has been exceptional. He’s handled permits, HOAs & Insurance. He explained everything they would do. He promptly answered my emails & text messages. I would highly recommend him & Carmody!

I chose Carmody for a windows and doors project including 2 patio doors, 2 windows, and 1 geometric (half round) window for a condo unit. They were knowledgeable, responsive throughout the project, and the install team did great work. I consulted 3 other companies before choosing Carmody and I am glad I feel I made the right decision when all was said and done. Dave and Jess were awesome to work with and I will have Carmody at the top of my list for future projects and referrals.
Thanks Carmody Team!

I have used Carmody construction to replace windows and a patio door in our house. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The salespeople Patrick and Phil that came to the house were knowledgeable, helpful and have very pleasant personalities. I wish there were more in their field like them. Product quality is excellent. The installation went smoothly. The installer’s were very polite, neat and did an outstanding job.

We had a great experience with Carmody from start to finish. They were patient with us with decision making. Brad was prompt, genuine, and a great communicator. I appreciated his “realness”. Not a sales-y feel at all.

I had Carmody replace my roof and they did a fantastic job. They were on time, had it done quickly and cleaned everything up. They are local and I would definitely recommend them!

We needed some repair done to our existing siding. It was a small job, so other companies weren't interested. We contacted Carmody, based on a mailer we received. Ryan, the owner, returned my call to make an appointment to come see what we wanted done. Ryan showed up at the set time, assessed the situation, and assured us Carmody would be happy to help us. Colin, the project manager, came to further discuss our needs. We received a proposal, along with an expected time frame for the work to be done. Communication with Colin and Jess, in the office, was excellent. The work was beautiful, even better than we had hoped for. Carmody was responsive, had excellent communication, highly skilled workers, and the clean up was very efficient. We are very happy with the entire experience. We highly recommend Carmody. And they have a BBB rating of A+ with zero complaints. Thank you, Carmody Group of Oswego!

We had Carmody construction come out after experiencing some hail damage to our roof. Our contractor, Sean, was very helpful and made the process very smooth. The guys that came out to do the work were efficient and did a great job cleaning up. From start to finish, they made the process go very smooth! We love our new roof and gutters.

The best. Can't say enough good. We're so happy with booking Carmody. For us, they transformed an attic over a two car garage into an actual room.

Jimbo leads the charge! He's the head creative there and mastermind architect behind the entire project. Jim is super pleasant, down to Earth, open to ideas, and infused his own creativity and passion into the project - caring for it as if it were his own.

Katrina, however, is Carmody's best kept secret. You won't see her - she's in the office - but you'll feel her effort and work. She's your Point of Contact and does an absolutely tremendous job communicating. She provides real time updates, accurate insight, punctual information and is always accessible.

Overall - Carmody as a general contractor coordinated for us disciplines across demo, framing, carpentry, drywall, insulation, electrical, windows, HVAC, and carpet.

Thankful and honored to have been their client - the best!

All around fabulous experience with Carmody. They have done all of our windows, remodeled our master bathroom and are about to start our roof. Sean was excellent in organizing the entire process. Jim and his team are so fun and professional. They do excellent work and all of the companies they contract with have been amazing. I would highly recommend this company⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Carmody did window replacement in my townhouse. Their price was fair, the window quality is high and the installers were fast and professional. They handled the building permit and HOA approval. I couldn’t be happier and would recommend them anytime!

I've had Carmody handle a couple of jobs on my house involving roofing and siding, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Brad and his team were professional, efficient, and communicated clearly throughout the process. They explained the work being done and answered any questions that I had. I highly recommend them for any construction needs!

Carmody replced 8 windows and a patio door in my townhouse. They helped get all approval from my association and we so kind and friendly through the entire process.

We just had new siding and gutters installed by Carmody last week. We were extremely happy with this company. From the first contact with a sales person to the cleanup afterwards, all was done well. The price was good, the workmen were excellent, the communication was wonderful. A manager kept stopping by to check on things while the work was ongoing. We were really pleased.

Everyone at Carmody were fantastic! Colin, Sean, Brad, and Jose and his crew were great to deal with! My house looks great and I couldn't be happier! Thanks Carmody! I will be recommending you to anyone needing windows, siding, or any other home improvements.

I had Carmody replace my roof and gutters as the result of a hail storm. The work they performed was done quickly, efficiently and the finished product was top quality. Eric and Alex were extremely efficient, helpful and prompt throughout and made the whole process seamless. I will use Carmody again and would recommend them to anyone.
