General Contractor reviews in Plainfield, Illinois

Tony and his crew did an amazing job remodeling our basement.

Because this is an insurance claim I am certain of that we have gotten no shows, shoddy work and rescheduling. And that is only if we call when they have not showed up. When I do remodel the kitchen again ,we have been without a kitchen sink for a month. I would hire someone off the street before I would ever use thier services again.

ATI Construction does amazing work! I’ve had 3 Bathrooms, Kitchen, Family Room, Foyer and Basement remodeled with ATI Construction. I have and will continue to highly recommend them for any construction work you want done! Excellent company!

ATI construction has been amazing. They have remodeled two of our homes. They’ve renovated entire floors, remodeled laundry rooms, installed flooring, and have delivered quality service every step of the way. I couldn’t be more pleased. Their communication, quality of work, and attention to detail are unmatched. They will be the first people we contact when we move into our new home and begin remodeling.

In 2017, Tony Russo and ATI Construction built our custom dream home. ATI supported us every step of the way to create a beautiful house with the highest quality of craftsmanship. We were satisfied when we moved in and are still satisfied today.

In February of this year, 2023, ATI finished our basement. As before, they did an outstanding job. Our basement is an extension of our existing home, and we could not be happier with how the project turned out.

We offer our highest recommendation for Tony Russo and ATI construction. Tony demonstrates time and again that his skillful work and meticulous attention to detail meet or exceed our expectations. He and his employees are respectful, communicative, and professional. But above all, we recommend Tony because he is trustworthy and operates with the highest level of integrity. He has made our vision for our home a reality and we will continue to work with them on future projects.

Updating this review to share my praise on the second project we did with ATI: ATI remodeled our entire upstairs and we are beyond thrilled with it (our house was built in the '90s, and we hadn't done a thing to it). The quality of their work is outstanding, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail. Their pricing is transparent, and we always felt well-informed about the costs involved.
The design process was thoughtful and catered to our needs, making the entire remodel both functional and beautiful. ATI truly understands how to transform a space, and their team was professional and courteous throughout the project. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again for any future renovations. We simply cannot say enough good things about ATI.
###
What an amazing experience we had with ATI for our complete first floor remodel - new floors, new kitchen, wall removal, etc. Tony is extremely knowledgeable, professional, fair, and responsive. Tom and Jose managed the crew perfectly and treated our home as if it was their own. We really miss seeing these guys - when was the last time you said that when someone worked in your home? Every supplier Tony had us work with had excellent ideas, were friendly and professional, and were super responsive and helpful. Pricing was fair, well explained, with no surprises. You truly cannot go wrong with this terrific company. We can’t wait to work with them again when we remodel the upstairs. ATI is the best!

We can't say enough about our incredible experience with Tony and ATI Construction. Tony transformed our home into a true oasis, elevating not just a space—but our entire living experience.

The craftsmanship exceeded our expectations, and the customer service was equally outstanding. Tony walked us through every detail, offering multiple options to help us bring our dream vision to life. He was patient, informative, and always available to answer our many questions.

This is top-tier craftsmanship built to last a lifetime. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the results—and the photos speak for themselves.

I wish I could give 10 stars because ATI deserves the highest of praise! We had such an incredible experience with ATI! We hired them to finish our basement and they exceeded all of our expectations. First, the team is amazing. They were incredibly professional, accommodating, friendly, and reliable. This was a 4-month project and I can honestly say we were a little sad to see them go once it was done! Not only did they do excellent work, but the way they showed up each morning at 7 am and warmly interacted with our kids spoke volumes to their character. Our kids (2 and 4 yrs old) still ask about Mr. Tony and Mr. John.

As far as the work they did, to say we are thrilled would be an understatement. They took a completely unfinished basement and transformed it into an awesome entertainment area, full bath, floors, tile, guest bedroom, bar, and gym, as well as a kids play zone. The work was meticulous! They offered opinions where we needed help deciding on finishes and options, and their counsel was invaluable. They made all of our dreams and visions come to life.

We are already planning our next project with ATI And are looking forward to many more in the future! If you have a home renovation project, you will be so happy you chose ATI!

Working with ATI on this labor of love has been incredible. They are extremely thoughtful from helping to develop a custom floorplan that considers all our wants, to navigating an extremely efficient and effective timeline for contractors. These guys were very warm, kind and professional while in our home. I have had construction projects in homes in the past, but this experience was the least intrusive of them all and the most considerate of our needs while living in the space through the project duration. We will absolutely use ATI for any future endeavors.

Kitchen remodel & addition. Project went smoothly for the most part with just a few minor hiccups that Elliot & team resolved. Elliot was a great project manager. Love our finished project!

We worked with Tranquility on a master bath remodel and are thrilled with the results. They were collaborative and communicated effectively along the way. You cannot go wrong using them for your project.

Tranquillity Builders has done everything for me from finishing my basement to complete refinishing of my hardwood floors. They have corrected concrete problems in my garage, installed a whole house, dual zone HVAC, replaced plumbing fixtures, installed exhaust fans in my master bath and have even shown up to replace outdoor exhaust vents in the middle of the day when I struggled to do so by myself. I could not feel more blessed to have happened upon this incredibly professional and reliable family business. I have worked with Bev, Jim and their sons for years now. Their commitment to your satisfaction and level of detail are unparalleled compared to any builder I have encountered before. Call them. You will not be disappointed.

Tranquility remodeled our whole 1st floor taking down walls, enlarging doorways to give us a larger kitchen and a better footprint! The whole team was very knowledgeable and helped with suggestions and changes along the way. We couldn’t be happier with the finished results. Thanks Tranquility for a great job!!!

Had these folks remodel three bathrooms for us in 2021 and into 2022.
There are problems in each of the bathrooms that we have been finding on a routine basis. We end up hiring others to come in and fix the issues.

Whole thing has been a disaster, just a disaster.

Craftsmanship is lacking when it comes to details. This time it is the faucet that was not installed correctly and leaked through to our basement.

Not advising to completely avoid them but am advising to be very leery and question everything they do.

Tranquility did a complete basement finishing for our family. From start to finish they were professional, helpful, and not pushy the entire process. They were flexible with timing, decisions, and finishing materials, which allowed us to create our ideal basement. Highly recommend them for you home finishing/remodel needs.

We had such a great experience with Tranquilty beginning to end. In the beginning we didn’t know exactly how we wanted our basement to come together. Ryan was able to take all of our conversations and transform them into a beautiful design. Elliot and his team brought that dream design to life! Both Ryan and Elliot were always available, responsive, answered any crazy question we threw at them and even through a pandemic they finished our basement without delay! We are grateful for our beautiful new basement and will definitely return to Tranquilty for projects in the future!

Tranquility Builders are an amazing company to work with! They came in this time to do a small repair on a problem created by another contractor. I was a nervous wreck, and Bev immediately put my mind at ease. Bev and her team were fast, professional, and overall wonderful to work with. Thanks, Tranquility Team!

We highly recommend Tranquility Builders. They have been with us for remodeling projects for most of the rooms in our home over the last several years. Bev, Jim and Elliott Totsch are very professional and have always treated our home with respect. They have great ideas and suggestions for things we had not even considered. They are with you every step of the process from design, to construction and through selection of finishes. They always respond to texts and phone calls in a timely manner. Our recent project was a three season room which far exceeded our expectations We really appreciate their attention to detail and insightful design ideas. They have help us a create a beautiful home.

Tranquility made our kitchen dreams come true! For 22 years, we lived with a chopped up kitchen that was cramped and outdated. Tranquility knocked down walls and opened up the possibilities. Our kitchen is the wide open, beautiful space we've always wanted. They also created an attractive and useful mud room for us. Bev gave us great design ideas and took the time to shop with us and show us various options for counter tops, cabinetry, back splash, flooring, windows, etc. The entire Tranquility team and subs were efficient, responsive, and completely on schedule (even early!)...and on budget. Several of our friends in the neighborhood have used Tranquility and highly recommended them to us. We would highly recommend them to any and all! Fair prices, high quality work. What more could you ask for?

Awesome experience. We found Tranquility at a home improvement show, and decided to move forward with them because they are a family business. The attention to detail was fantastic and the concern for the family and rest of the house while work was being done was on point. We have more projects down the road and will definitely use Tranquility.

Tranquility Builders did a complete redesign/remodel of our small townhouse kitchen. What a difference! They came up with a design that made great use of a confined space, making it so much more attractive, efficient, and user-friendly. Their talented staff was friendly, responsive, and on-time!
