Not a good experience overall with our Kitchen remodel! I’ve tried to write our bad experience in detail but it just is too long. Everything that we were told in order to sign the contract ended up changing. Our “designer” was super difficult and unhelpful after we didn’t go with her initial vision. (We had a very clear vision of our own that we wanted, nothing personal). Communication was mainly via email & terrible. When we finally reached out to Ryan with our concerns, he defended his designer adamantly and after that day, we never heard from Ryan or our designer again. (This was during the demo stage fyi-). For the remainder of the project we were left to deal with our PM who we were told came back from retirement to “help out”. From that point on, we had no set schedule and were left hanging each day wondering if anyone was going to show. We’d get texts around 9pm saying that someone would come the next day. We’d rearrange schedules to be home and then many times would get a text around 10am saying that something came up and they couldn’t make it. Sometimes they’d show up and work for an hour and leave. This went on for months. The main portion was completed around 11-5-23. At that point we gave our punch list items of things to complete/fix. They said they’d be completed that week. By Christmas we were tired of waiting and told them to forget it, we will figure out how to get them done ourselves. I’m still so frustrated at how things were left and how we were treated. Our neighbors had a very similar experience, only theirs has been going on for over a year… Photos attached of how our kitchen was left for the holidays. All of the grout in the kitchen and dining room has to be replaced, new floor trim doesn’t cover the wood glue, missed cabinet stain on almost every cabinet etc. ! This was a lot of $$$ and we basically felt like they checked out after they got the majority of the balance. 😔

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Tranquility on our kitchen renovation. From the first time we met Bev, we felt at ease. At our initial meeting, she looked around, took measurements, and went through what we would like for our space. She pointed out a pipe which might be an issue right away, and we appreciated knowing about this from the get go. Meeting with Ryan and Abbi to design the space was so much fun. It was great to see the 3D renderings. I had my heart set on one long island, but Bev and Ryan came and taped out the space to show me how two islands would be better aesthetically and from a working standpoint. I am so glad they were able to change my mind. Bev was also able to talk me off the cliff on a couple small design elements, pointing out that they would not be easy to change out and were very specific to my taste. She was not pushy at all, but her pointing these out changed my mind. Working with Elliott as our general contractor was great. Any issue that came up, he was on it. He kept us updated about what to expect week to week and sent us a text each evening on what would be going on the next day. This was especially helpful because it helped us to plan what to do with our kids and dog. We could not be happier with how our kitchen turned out, and there is not one thing we would change about it. All of the contractors were professional and did beautiful work. They kept us updated on any changes that needed to be made, and there were no surprises. We would highly recommend Tranquility to anyone looking to renovate their home.

We worked with Tranquility on a kitchen remodel that touched most of the areas on our first floor. We are so thrilled with our new kitchen! Their design ideas were terrific, and really made our existing space work better for our needs. They were great communicators throughout the remodel process. We would definitely work with them again!

We partnered with Tranquility builders for a sun room addition at our house in Naperville. We are beyond excited at how it has turned out. The design fits our house perfectly and working with Tranquility design team led by Ryan was easy and fun. Ryan used 3D graphics to help us visualize the room both inside and outside. Tranquility is not going to be the most cost economical option, but they do not compromise in the quality of materials or workmanship. They are really upfront. They have a very good team and the ability to really ensure that our room addition (or remodeling) was ultimately done correctly and to our full expectation was really amazing. We honestly felt that it was money well spent. Of course there were some hiccups, but that is to be expected with construction in general specially with supply chain issues. They made an extra effort to hit the deadlines without compromising the quality of construction. Prouct Engineer Elliot was always available to discuss, evaluate and resolve any issues that arose during the project. His subject matter expertise was always apparent and impressive. Not to leave out the team members. They were really nice to work with and always responsive. Overall, we are incredibly happy with the result and honestly think we got the addition that we always wanted. We would not hesitate to work with Tranquility Builders again.

Tranquility builders did a great job with our kitchen. They also helped with remodeling our staircase and family room. All of the jobs were done very professionally. I would definitely recommend them. It was a pleasure to work with Jim and Bev.

Tranquility was great to work with! We had a bathroom that we wanted to expand and several other builders weren't able to look outside the box and find a solution. Working with Ryan on the design and Elliot on the execution, we were able to increase the size of our bathroom, add a skylight and turn it into a spa like experience for our kids and guests. Now we just have to do the same to our master bath!

Tranquility Builders was absolutely amazing to work with. Everything from the initial walkthrough to the quote to the design all the way through the final product was professional and transparent. I cannot recommend this team enough!

When we first began dreaming about building a home, we started, quite literally, with a blank piece of paper and an open farm field. We had ideas, a vision, and a strong sense of what we wanted our future home to feel like — but no floorplan, no model to follow, and no prior experience with custom home construction. We fell in love with our kitchen thanks to Tranquility! Our dated kitchen was revived with a new layout, expansive island, better storage, and brighter space. They took the time to design with our needs in mind to give us both beauty and functionality. They also transformed our bathrooms! Miranda was fabulous - meeting on design and ideas to collaborating and attending meetings on tile, cabinets, appliances, and even ordering multiple color samples to ensure our satisfaction. Elliot oversaw construction and was in communication every day for our five month project. We literally knew what was happening at all times and felt like progress was being made each day. The subcontractors Tranquility uses were polite and trustworthy. We loved getting to know the staff - this is a family business that genuinely cares about providing quality work and it shows!

Having a team that supports you from design to build to final inspections was incredibly worth it. During the upfront process, Bev and Ryan were unbelievably helpful, listened to our needs and had great ideas. They were very clear about the process and supportive about the decisions you made. Miranda and Abbi were with us each step of the way picking out products - and had great design ideas. Before remodeling, the entire crew came to our house and reviewed everything and transitioned to Jim’s team. Jim was fantastic - and can’t say enough good things about him. He was there in the morning when a new sub arrived, he was responsive when I had questions, and was there daily to check quality and process. There was a lot to do, but overall, Jim, Sean and Crew just made it so easy on us and limited any stress we thought we may have. I would never hesitate to recommend Tranquility for a home remodel project, and I personally plan to use them again in the future.

We were referred to Tranquility by some friends when we were looking to remodel our upstairs. Our friends had used them for multiple projects. We worked with them to remodel our upstairs and had such a good experience that we worked with them again when we were remodeling our basement.

Everything about the experience with Tranquility was great. We initially worked with Ryan to scope out and design the project and then Eliot to bring the projects to life. Both are great to work with. Constant communication. Very dependable. Always professional and reasonable when issues unavoidably arise. They do great work.

We worked with Tranquility to transform our unfinished basement into a wonderful living space with an entertainment area, pool table area, gym, and storage. Ryan, Iris, Elliot, and the entire Tranquility team worked with us patiently and professionally from concept to design to install. They listened to our goals and made sure we achieved them. We love the space they created for us and they made the entire process easy and painless. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

Provided new floorings and pipes after a leak in our building. Owner was super responsive and answered all of my questions!

Oliver Blanchard III VP is not a man of his word. I am a contractor that completed a roof repair contract and it states that payment would be made 30 days after receiving pictures, a completed invoice and w-9 tax forms. He has all of that but has failed to pay his bills. I reached out to him and he got upset. He said that he pays his bills but he keeps coming up with excuses to keep from paying me. He said that he didn't get the invoice first, then he disputed the date he received it then he acted like he forgot we did the work.

IF YOUR A CONTRACTOR BEWARE!!!!!

As another one already previously mentioned, we have not been paid out for a trivial amount of $225 when all work requested was performed at the company Oliver (Estate Facilities' Management) evidently manages. Its cost us more money at this point simply having to continuously follow up on this for weeks / months on end and its not even worth the cost of pursuing a lien.

Terrible experience and you will be told via email, phone calls, etc. every time you follow up that a check is in the mail or that they are just behind, etc.

If you decide to work for them you better get the money up front or simply expect to not get paid. In summary, do yourself a favor as a contractor and steer clear or working for this company!

Contractors beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does not pay out. We are now almost three months past due and accruing interest on HVAC work for three locations. Finally get him to answer the phone after weeks of promised payments and he tells me he's on a cruise to leave him alone!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update: After 3.5 months finally received a partial payment. Refuses to pay any late fees and still has outstanding balances and invoices. Called saying "His People" wouldn't pay late fees, ok well we aren't a bank, we don't finance our work. He didn't like that statement and hung up on me. Oliver is a scammer.
