Workers are great but the owner is a disrespectful, inconsiderate individual who drives around in the company car like a road raging maniac. SLOW DOWN and act like you got some sense before you hurt or kill someone! That kind of behavior is a black eye to your business reputation.

Altered Grounds and Josh did landscaping around our existing inground pool. They did exactly what I asked them to do and entire process was pretty painless. We’re happy with results!

Altered Grounds finished a pool installation at my parents house 2 months ago, so we didn't get much use out of it, but next year will be awesome. The pool looks great.
I now feel like a baller when I have people come over.

Paid Altered Grounds $4K July 2015 to lay down rock and border less than 1 year ago. Most of the landscape weed barrier I had already put down, but Josh, one of the 2 brothers who are the owners, assured me he would use the good contractor grade material, better than mine, in places I missed. Today, I asked him to come by and look at the grass and weeds growing thru his contractor grade, and he said "I should just pull some weeds". IHe refused to come out, but had sent his sales guy. The sales guy accused my husband and I of being racist when my husband referred to their workers who did the job as " Mexicans" because none were English speaking and spoke only Spanish . The sales guy became upset when he said they were Guatemalans- not Mexicans! Josh started with the racist accusation on the phone after the sales guy returned and , he would not let me talk about my job issue. Interrupting, speaking over me, etc. They are young, inexperienced, and blowing smoke screen when you have an issue. Told me to just pull weeds. Beware! They need a course in Customer Service!

We had Altered Grounds install our new paver patio and fire pit. Josh, Jeremy and the crew were very friendly and did an awesome job. We love our new space!

AG was super easy to work with and had amazing ideas to address our concerns and fix some problem areas in our landscaping around the house. They were able to start quickly, and it's clear they were listening to our "wish list". We also added a small, informal flagstone patio with a firepit as well as stone steps to the walkout basement and a larger concrete patio with a firepit there. There were little adds along the way-i.e. stepping stones to the lake/dock, lighting. During the process, we had one glitch, where we weren't loving an area. That was easily cleared up with some communication and collaboration. I love pulling up to our home because they made our yard beautiful, and accessible so that we can enjoy it more. I'm interested in seeing how everything looks through the winter and holds up for next year.
