I am not kidding when I say this company BLEW ME AWAY. We got a gorgeous inground pool installed by them in less than 3 weeks in September 2021. Their team shows up every day and works so incredibly hard. Josh and Jeremy are very responsive throughout the process and I still can't believe how quickly we were able to get a pool through them!! (Most pool companies wouldn't even respond to a quote request.)

I live in a neighborhood where multiple families put in pools during the pandemic and our install went the best by far. While other people waited months - we were swimming less a month after we signed a contract with them. If I could give them 10 stars I would!!

We are already dreaming of summer over here!

Josh and his crew did an OUTSTANDING job with our project. We had some pretty major water issues in our backyard, and they were able to come in and design a solution with multiple layers that resolved all of our concerns.

The price wasn't cheap, but after a first failed attempt with another landscaper, we needed someone to come in and make sure this problem was resolved once and for all. Josh did an excellent job communicating his plans and changes that came up along the way, including informing us of (and giving us the option) a change that would incur more costs than originally quoted.

They came in, did the job quickly, professionally, and most importantly, with a high level of quality. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, friendly, and high quality landscaper for any project.

Josh, Jeremy, Rob and the entire crew were consummate professionals for our project. From start to finish, they communicated clearly and concisely exactly what they were going to do at any given time. They were also quick to reply back whenever I had questions about the progress and anything service related once the project was complete.

I chose Altered Grounds because I wanted a company who could handle everything from the landscaping, lighting and new patio to the complete design and install of our new in-ground pool. They did it all with complete professionalism and made this process way easier than I anticipated when I first started to get bids. You won't be disappointed if you choose them to design and build your new backyard oasis!

Not Satisfied – Poor Customer Service and Quality

We hired Altered Grounds Landscape for a project and, unfortunately, were very disappointed with the outcome.

1. Smaller Plants Than Requested – Despite specifically asking for larger, more developed plants, they planted the smallest ones available. This was a major letdown as it was a key part of our expectations.
2. Difficult Communication – Getting in touch with this company was a struggle. Their phone customer service is, at best, 2 stars. It was hard to reach anyone, and no one consistently answered calls.
3. Plant Loss – Approximately 30% of the plants they installed died within 90 days, despite us following all of the recommended watering and care instructions.
4. Unhelpful Response – When we reached out for advice or possible solutions, they quickly assumed we were asking for free replacements and dismissed our concerns without offering any real help. The customer service was dismissive and unprofessional.
5. No Follow-Up – After we responded to their poor handling of the situation, we never heard back. It’s clear they don’t care about customer satisfaction or addressing issues once the project is completed.

In today’s service-driven world, Altered Grounds falls far short. Their lack of care and poor communication shows they are not committed to providing quality service. We do not recommend them.

We could not be happier with the work done on our property! We have a new construction home built on a hill, and within just four months of moving in we were already dealing with major drainage issues and erosion. The toll it took on our yard was alarming—mud everywhere, and a yard that felt impossible to enjoy. We contacted nearly every company in the area, and almost all of them looked to me for ideas instead of offering solutions. With AG, it was different. Josh came out and immediately had a clear vision for how to fix our issues.

Josh, Jeremy, and the team did an incredible job building two retaining walls and a dry creek, and the results far exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, they were professional, detail-oriented, and easy to work with.

The walls are rock solid, beautifully built, and add so much character to the yard. The dry creek not only looks amazing but also functions exactly as intended, blending naturally into the landscape. The crew’s pride in their craftsmanship shows in every detail, and they left the site clean and tidy each day. Instead of dreading rain in the forecast I am now sitting here saying: “Bring it on!”

Communication was excellent throughout the project, and the timeline was exactly as promised. It’s rare to find a company that delivers this level of quality with such outstanding service, and we will absolutely be recommending them to friends and family.

Abstract was incredible with some repairs, updates and electrical work at the house. Justin the electrician was very friendly and communicated with me every step of the way. Appreciate them helping get our house ready for the baby. I’d give more stars if I could.

I recently acquired an existing business that was in need of a significant remodel which included demolition, new walls, new floors, new break room, paint, electric, and overall refresh. I could not be happier with the work that Abstract did for us! They have a great crew that really cares about the work and results and made sure not to interfere with the daily operations of the business. They worked nights and weekends to avoid disrupting the business and were the best contractor I think I have ever worked with in my career. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking to do any construction projects. They were reliable, responsive, and executed to their schedule as planned. Zach and his team were amazing. They understood our vision and delivered a great end result. The guys were friendly, helpful on time and always available to answer my questions. While they were working on our house they made sure to cover the floors and all of our other furniture to ensure that the renovation didn’t make a mess and destroy our furniture. Abstract construction evaluation.

they did an excellent job taking down our 20 shutter second story, shutter spray painting them and reinstalling them. Then they change the color in our bathroom, which is excellent and did some trim touchup ( caulk and paint) throughout the house. Replaced exterior wooden door stain (that was in bad need of repair ) stripped to refinish with paint. Lots of tedious meticulous work, did a great job. They cleaned up excellently and did everything they said they would do .

I would hire them again and give them a five on a Five scale for performance.

Zach and his team did a wonderful job of installing new flooring in my home. They were very professional, showed up on time and finished the job in 2 days. I would highly recommend them for any projects you plan on.
