Reviews of local pros in Troy, Illinois

We had a massive large oak that had died and needed to be taken down. Since it was in our back yard and on a slope, another tree service in town would not even give us a quote. Gene, gave us a very reasonable quote and took care of the job. I would highly recommend Martin's.

Gene and his crew did a fantastic job getting a tree down for us. We got a very fair price and he worked around a lot of bad weather to get the job done down to the stump grinding. We will definitely hire him again for the other trees that we need to get done.

My ex husband hired them and they done a great job and cleaned up afterwards they were nice people to talk to. My tree came down in my front yard and they went to work and got it done hurray for them

Gene and his crew did an amazing job! We had a tree that went down in a storm and they had had in cleared within hours! Very professional and I would be happy to recommend Martin Tree service to both family and friends.

Gene did such a good job on my trees very fast convenient and great prices

We had a huge limb come down out of our tree during a storm and we were unsure if the whole tree needed to be cut down. We called Gene and he was able to come out the same day and answer all of our questions. Very polite, professional, and easy to work with.

They just removed the snow from my driveway and did a wonderful job! Thank you again!

I recently had a huge tree in my yard that needed to come down, and I couldn't be happier with the service. From start to finish, they were professional, efficient, and incredibly thorough. They managed to take down the massive tree in just one day, which was impressive on its own, but what really stood out was the cleanup job they did afterward.

By the time they were finished, my yard was spotless—no branches, no leaves, and no debris left behind. It was like the tree had never been there! The team was friendly and knowledgeable, answering all my questions and making sure I was comfortable with the process. I would highly recommend Martin tree service to anyone in need of tree removal services. They truly went above and beyond!

Amazing company. Great communication throughout the whole process. Great pricing. Great turn around time from getting a quote to getting the tree down. Highly recommend. Thanks for an awesome job!

Mr Gene came out today and removed the snow from my sidewalk and all around my car so I could get out and go to my doctor's appointment. GREAT JOB !!

Gene was great. Competitive price, clean, and communicated. Took down a 60-70ft tree out front of my property close to power lines and the house. Very professional job.

Geneo was great to work with. He is very knowledgeable and reasonable. Geneo completed the job in a timely manner and we are very happy with his work. We will definitely recommend him to others! Thank you Geneo!

Gene was top notch! I have a 10 year old birch tree in front yard that needed some trimming and TLC. From my initial outreach Gene and April were fast to respond, clear in their communication to provide an estimate and align on date for service. They trimmed and elevated the tree to ensure growth was away from my house, shaped properly, and it looks BEAUTIFUL! We’ll use their service again and highly recommend!

I had Gene come to my address in Troy to grind four tree stumps. He and his partner ground the stumps below the grade of the yard which left a very nice finish to the yard. Gene advised me how to follow up with the care with adding some topsoil to the areas where the stumps were, sew some grass seed and you'll never know there was a tree there. I highly recommend Martins Tree service for your tree stump removal needs.

Martian’s tree service apparently does snow removal too. While plowing the roads in my neighborhood, my friend was out trying to dig our cars out. Martain’s came over and plowed the snow from behind our vehicles so we could get out. I’m disabled. You don’t know what that meant for me and to me! You guys rock!

Had a huge tree that needed to be cut asap due to being split during a storm. Martins Tree Service was phenomenal! Gene was amazing to work with! Very punctual, professional, and a great price! No one in the area could beat his price. Great clean up and all around great service! I recommend Gene to anyone who needs tree trimming or removal. Thanks Gene!

I reached out to Gene and April for a load of firewood in preparation for a cold streak. They responded quickly and were backing into my driveway just a few days later. Great stack of wood, very friendly and a pleasure to talk too. Gene and april will be my "goto" for any future firewood and a tree trimming early next year. Thank you for your service and the firewood!

Gene and April were great! I had a nasty dying cherry tree in my yard that needed to go. Their price was very fair and competitive. Very friendly service and the job was done well! Would not hesitate to recommend Martin's!

We had a decent sized tree in our backyard between the pool and house that needed removed. I called up this company, and within a couple days from the initial site visit they had my issue handled. Gene, the owner, is very polite and professional in his trade. His accuracy to fell a tree was completely on point to where he said it would land. Also, he made sure that no mess was left behind afterwards. Additionally, he even offered to take some of my extra brush in the yard. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced professional look no further as he takes great pride in his work. Thanks again Gene, and will continue to recommend!

Gene is a top notch professional and provided unparalleled service. Give this guy a call. He is a absolute tree wizard. Fair pricing and he followed up to make sure I was more than satisfied with the work. Highly recommend!
