Arborists should prune trees. Thank goodness for SavATree! They literally saved my tree and I am thankful they live up to their name! Last year I made the mistake of calling “the cheapest quote” to prune my trees out front. A beautiful, full older tree I adored!
Lesson learned, as the tree was not pruned. It was given a buzz-like haircut resembling Bart Simpsons head. I was mortified. The top of the tree was GONE. The tree remained very wide. I was reassured it would grow back fine. Well of course it didn’t! That’s why I’m leaving a review here! An Arborist should prune your trees, chalk it up to life’s experiences, or learn from my review. Do not trust the cheapest option. My tree was going to die- it looked terrible, unsightly, and branches were breaking daily. The weight distribution was off and each branch was holding way more than it should.
SavATree literally saved the tree, PRUNED IT, (not buzz cut), and gave it space to grow and thrive! I’m so thankful. It’s a night and day difference. I highly recommend! In addition I do see some customers did appreciate the tech coming out without a days notice- but, to be fair- they are doing work outdoors- and, with my very busy schedule I was very grateful SavATree took the initiative to prune my trees timely. I have a very busy schedule so I can’t always be home. I also assume that they would like to work on your tree when it’s the best for the tree. Is there enough light in that part of the yard? If people are home, dogs barking, cars going in and out, the arborist will be distracted. I thought it was fantastic coming home to a beautifully pruned tree!

The SavATree team was out to trim all bushes and did an amazing job. Grade A++. This was the first time I have used them for trimming versus my lawn crew and we couldn’t be happier. Hats off the my Arborista Kristen!! 😀

These specialists are neat, efficient, and quick. Once the Chicago area was done with the Polar Vorex of 2019, I was on the schedule. They came and went while I wasn't home but Dave was always in contact with me if I had a question. I paid a deposit online and paid the balance online once I was happy with the work. Dave and his team were always quick to respond to any voicemail or email. I highly recommend SavATree!

We were very impressed with Sarah T. when she came out last year to evaluate our huge pin oak in our front yard. We requested several quotes from different tree services, and she was the only one who was very knowledgeable and genuinely concerned for the health of our tree. Sarah just visited us again today to assess the treatment's effectiveness and to evaluate what we needed to do this fall. We are so grateful for her professionalism!

We have used their services for over ten years and we are very pleased. They are always on time, quickly do the job, and leave the area clean. Very friendly and courteous employees. We have renewed again for another year. Our grass looks great, no weeds!

Ash tree has been protected from the emerald ash borer with great success. Dozens of ash trees near me have died, but mine is in great condition because it has received injections of insecticide every other year. Every year kelp fertilizer is injected into the ground around it to keep it in the best possible condition to defend itself against the invasive insect which has killed a very high percentage of ash trees in this area. Mine was "covered with fat, happy buds" this spring when the SavATree forester inspected it. I love the tree, and this care is worth it. It's beautiful, birds love it, it shades the house in the summer and keeps the a/c bills lower. I would have been heartbroken had this huge, lovely tree died, but it has been saved and looks great.

David and his crew were very knowledgeable and professional. They did an excellent job cleaning up after trimming my trees, also. I would highly recommend them.

Jesus Z. did a great job with our deep root fertilization. We are new owners to the house and were not sure if this was ever applied in the yard. He was very polite, professional and took his time making sure new and old shrubs and trees got the appropriate amount of fertilizer. Glad we found SavATree!

Save a tree is a great company to deal with. They explain everything very well. They went over all my trees and told me what was wrong. They made it simple to understand. Nick was great when he was out here and explained everything thoroughly and was very kind. I highly recommend save a tree that save your trees because with the stress they have been under with the drought. Justin is amazing! Pressure washed our house and it looks like new. Definitely will be using him this summer for our lawn care.
