Constraction reviews in Waterloo, Illinois

We hired Classic Construction to frame our small house last month. It was an exceptionally positive experience overall. Patrick and his crew did a great job. We've had numerous sub-contractors for various projects over the years, but Classic Construction stands above most of them. At the end of each day, the job site was always immaculate. No construction debris, empty take out containers or cigarette butt piles. Everything was orderly and restored each and every day. The men themselves were friendly, professional, and unwaveringly positive. Patrick is cut from a different cloth than most, and it ensures both integrity and quality for his Classic Construction projects. I highly recommend them without falter or exception. We're thrilled with the final product and we’ll be calling them back whenever there is a need for their services.

Just had an outstanding experience with Classic Construction. Patrick was an absolute pleasure to work with. Very professional, organized, and excellent communication. Patrick was recommended to us for a small but challenging kitchen sink/faucet replacement project. I was concerned the job was too small to be of any interest but Patrick handled it with the full commitment of a larger project. Next up is a complete bathroom remodel project whenever he has an opening in his schedule. I highly recommend Classic Construction!

They did a great job in renovating a bathroom in an older home that offered some challenges. It looks great and we love it. They are great!

I was fortunate enough to find Patrick at Home Depot and inquired about his availability for a project. He was very personable and willing to help with the my project which was replacing my basement stairs with new steps and hand rails. Patrick and Cruz did a beautiful job with all aspects of the project. My wife and I are very pleased with his work and would refer Classic Construction to anyone. Thanks Patrick!

I have the front porch of my dreams and everyone I know has admired it!
Classic Construction were very detail oriented and extremely skillful. Patrick communicated on a weekly and daily basis so I always knew what to expect on my job site.
He and his worker treated my job as if it were their own home. They came prepared each day and left the job clean which can be quite challenging while under construction.
Patrick went over all the small details I never even considered and made very good suggestions.
He brought me samples of materials and took me to suppliers so I could see before I made decisions.
All in all Classic Construction did a magnificent job and I am thrilled with my beautiful front porch!
I am already contemplating the next job I will hire them to do!
He may be one of my sons but he is a very talented and ethical young man.😊

We had such an amazing experience with Pat! He did flawless work, was timely and professional! The French doors were the perfect way to accent the space and fit into the character of our home.

EXCEPTIONAL! That is the best word I can use to describe our experience with Patrick and Classic Construction. We had our 30 year old bathroom remodeled and it turned out better than we ever expected. From the time we met with Patrick until the finished product, he was extremely professional and was very attentive to every detail. His communication throughout the project was excellent and he and his crew always went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. If you want the best - call Classic Construction - you won’t be sorry. Thank you Patrick for making our dream bathroom a reality.

We just wrapped up a stair railing project with Patrick. He did an amazing job, and we are so happy with the work and the way everything turned out! He was easy to work with from start to finish, thorough, friendly, great at communicating, paid incredible attention to every detail possible, and was a joy to have in our home! We have already asked him to work on a deck project with us next year. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for high quality work at a fair price.

Existing pergola was grossly installed allowing water damage to header and subfloor. Posts would sway when touched. Patrick and his crew did demo to old structure, fixed all existing problems and now I have a beautiful covered patio to enjoy. Highly recommend Classic Construction's team.

Classic Construction did a great job on my 16 x 28 ft. barn project. Patrick was patient, knowledgeable, showed up first thing every day, and provided good feedback on my ideas. Patrick and his assistant Cruz hustled, were always pleasant to work with, and adapted well to changes in this evolving project. Initially, I hired Classic Construction to re-roof my existing barn and do some other upgrades. As it became evident in the demo phase that the old barn had too many problems to reconcile, Classic Construction pivoted to tearing down the old barn completely, and built a new barn. In the process, Patrick presented clear-headed options, made realistic recommendations, and communicated well. The final project was completed expeditiously (with added embellishments; like shelving, for example), was solidly constructed and is a pleasure to see when I pull into the driveway. These guys care about quality and service. They wanted me to be happy with the end product, and I am. I hope to get on their calendar for an upcoming project. Great job!

I had the best experience from start to finish with Patrick at Classic Construction. He communicated on arrival times each day, was super clean and so polite. He is talented in woodworking and was detail oriented. I would not hesitate to recommend Patrick and hope to use his talents on future projects!

Our experience with Classic Construction was nothing short of exceptional. We had a vision for our kitchen/pantry that included multiple custom features: frameless cabinetry; flush uppers/lowers/fillers; horizontal grain; multiple built-ins; door/drawer accessories; panel-ready appliances; a rolling ladder system; etc. In addition, the design and configuration of our cabinets and the size of our appliances required a custom soffit be designed and built as part of this project. The flush-front design added another layer of complexity and required precision craftsmanship. Basically, we had a complicated concept, an extensive “kit of parts”, a number missing or incorrect parts and no instructions! Patrick rose to the challenge and provided excellent quality and a beautiful end result!

After two previous contractors walked away from the opportunity due to its complexities, Patrick was recommended to us by a mutual friend / trusted flooring contractor. Patrick provided detailed pricing, a realistic timeline and was very clear on what we should expect from him - and he delivered. From day one, Patrick committed to providing us with weekly updates. Every Monday morning throughout the duration of our project, Patrick updated us with what had been completely the week prior; what was scheduled for the upcoming week and any supplies or materials needed to proceed. I cannot emphasize how important that level of communication was to us. There were no surprises and I felt like we were always on the same page.

No matter the size or scope of a project, things happen; visions change, there’s an unexpected pipe in the wall, vendors deliver incorrect materials, products arrive late, etc. As issues arose, Patrick proactively communicated with us and was always prepared with options, solutions and was up-front about any potential financial or schedule impacts. He is transparent and fair in his pricing and holds himself to the highest standards for quality and integrity.

When I think about what is most important in this process, its simple: quality, schedule, budget, communication and trust. Classic Construction excelled in each of these categories and took the pain out of this process. Patrick brought our vision to life, and we could not be more proud of the space he helped us create! What began as a vendor relationship has evolved into a trusted partnership and friendship.

We highly recommend Classic Construction for any project, big or small.

I don’t know where to begin to properly highlight Patricks professionalism, attention to detail, communication skills, and just delivering above and beyond our expectations.

We have been building our dream home for a very long time now and had multiple issues with the general contractor. To avoid further delays, we reached out to Patrick to finish a lot of the remaining items. Patrick installed our custom kitchen cabinets, all of our appliances, walk around pantry, laundry room cabinets, floating vanities in the master bathroom, metal railing system on the front porch and so much more. With every project we asked him to complete he affectively communicated exactly what he was going to do with precise timelines with zero surprises. I can’t emphasize enough how his communication was so important to us. From everything we asked him to do he simply crushed it, and we couldn’t be any happier.

You will not be disappointed with Classic Construction. Thank you Patrick for making our dream a reality.

Patrick is an outstanding contractor with exceptional integrity and professionalism. Delivers top-quality work with honesty, clear communication, and genuine care for clients. A true example of ethical business and excellent customer service—highly recommend!

We highly recommend Patrick! He and his team were wonderful to work with throughout the whole process in building a new deck for us. He communicated every step of the way. He was quick to respond to any questions. Watching them work, I was impressed with how carefully the measured and tested as they worked. Plus, the deck is beautiful!

Love Classic Construction! Patrick and the crew did an amazing job! Very professional. They keep there work space clean and organized. Very efficient work. Patrick kept us up to date with the progress and the communications where positive and smooth. We are very thankful we found Classic Construction for the new window and door installation at our home. We do plan on using them again in the near future. We recommend them for anyone needing a great crew to tackle any home project. Final thought, the project cost was very manageable and well worth it! Great Value!

Classic Construction just completed my wrap around porch and it is absolutely beautiful! I’m so impressed with Patrick and the crew, they truly went above and beyond every single day to make sure things were done right. They’re all very professional and their level of service and integrity is impeccable. It was such a pleasure working with them, I highly recommend Classic Construction!

Patrick with Classic Construction was an absolute game changer for our stair project. The existing staircase was old and outdated, with most of it made up of glass blocks, and we wanted to completely transform the space with a modern look using a horizontal baluster system. Patrick took our vision and brought it to life in a way that honestly exceeded anything we imagined.

His attention to detail was unmatched, and his communication throughout the entire process was the best we’ve ever experienced. He truly is gifted, and people in his field who are reliable, talented, and genuinely a pleasure to work with are extremely hard to find. He left us with a completely finished project that exceeded our expectations in every way. He spent a couple weeks in our home interacting with our family, our children. Our kids even made comments about how wonderful Patrick was and enjoyed talking with him. I can’t imagine ever using anyone else for future projects, and anyone lucky enough to have Patrick work on their home should consider themselves fortunate.

Classic Construction just completed an entire basement and back deck remodel for us. Patrick is a true artist! He took one look at our overfilled basement stuffed with years of accumulated “stuff” and could envision the entire space completed. Given our minimal requests, Patrick presented a drawing of his vision for the entire space. He wanted all of our opinions and encouraged us to make changes that suited our needs. We were blown away by the space layout and details Patrick had provided in his initial drawing. He even encouraged us to communicate with the plumber, electrician, and painters when they were here alongside Patrick to make sure we were all on the same page.

Patrick and his crew were absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. From the initial consultation to the final walkthrough, they were extremely polite, professional, efficient, and attentive to every detail. They showed up exactly when they said they would every day, were very respectful of our home, and cleaned up at the end of each day. They delivered on every promise they made and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with each decision and result.

So many aspects of this company shine above the rest. Patrick and his crew always encouraged communication and suggestions from us throughout both the basement and deck remodel. They showed up each day with a positive attitude and worked tirelessly to make sure they stayed on schedule. Always keeping us informed, Patrick would have updates and recaps posted on Basecamp for us to review. They are the most trustworthy company we have ever worked with.

We are still in awe at the end result! Classic Construction provided the most beautiful living space for us (both inside and outside our home), and I am confident that the quality of their work will last a lifetime. Patrick and his crew are incredibly talented at their craft. We could never have imagined a more beautiful design than what Patrick created for our basement and deck. For any future home projects, they are the only company we trust with quality results. They are simply the best!!!

Thank you, Patrick and team, for your hard work and dedication. You made this entire experience stress-free.

I have used this company twice now. I am very impressed by the quick response and the professionalism of the work done.

Very good communication, and they were quick and did a great job! I love my new backsplash
