Highly recommended. I’m pretty meticulous and and picky on certain aspects of things, to the point of dropping precious landscapers for continuously going too short burning my grass. Salinas exceeds my expectations. Great communication from the owner and great attention to detail in their work. Especially on areas of my lawn that I’m growing grass and edging!

Edit 4/28/23. Subtracting a star due to going on year two now with the ongoing issue regarding the crew that services my area. They consistently scalp my yard weed whacking, thus needing me to reach out and having to pause a service I pay for. Which I then have to buy an expensive fertilizer to repair and then take what little bandwidth I have, and properly weed whack myself.

Edit 8/21. They no longer blow grass clippings and leave piles and lines of grass throughout the yard.

Used Salinas for the first time for aeration and overseeding. While the aeration went fine, a few of my downspout ground covers were cracked by the machine. These were not listed as something I should mark (but maybe will be now). In any case, owner Lupe came out personally to replace them free of charge. With this kind of service, it's no wonder that he is running a successful business.

We hired Salinas Lawn & Power last year 2022 season to take over our our grass cutting and weed control. Our lawn was looking pretty unhealthy and our schedule made it difficult to give it the attention it needed. After just one season of their help our lawn looks fantastic. We will be continuing to hire them in the future.

They were always here when they said they would be and left feedback for us as well as a follow up email.

Salinas aerated my lawn and the job was done well. No missed spots, careful attention to the sprinklers I had flagged for them to avoid, excellent communication through the process, and a good price. I'll definitely use them again next year.

Salinas Lawn & Power is on time every week. Let's me know a couple of days before hand and I can affirm. The crews do a great job, cutting and cleaning up. I appreciate that I was able to sign on so far into the summer. Starting to have knee problems. Next spring looking to get my lawn back in shape and continue having Salinas Lawn & Power service my yard.

We have gone with another lawn service this year. They never picked up our fall leaves and left deep ruts in our lawn from the stand up mower. The person riding the mower spent most of their time looking at their phone. Over rated.

We wanted to remove a 10 x 20 foot patch of sod for a backyard project, and the Salinas team was able to do it quick and efficiently. Will reach out for future needs. Highly recommend!

Recently had our lawn aerated & overseeded for the fall. The team was prompt & completed the work in a timely fashion. Pricing was extremely competitive & lower than many of their competitors. Would recommend!

WORST COMMUNICATIONS EVER. The work they perform I would rate 5-stars, but the communications from their office is so poor I have to drop two stars. If you email them they don't answer. Well, maybe they answer one in ten. The response I received was "let me look into that" but never get a response. If you call, it is answered by a computer. Knowing I was talking to a robot I said "HUMAN," the robot says "sure, let me connect you with a service representative" but then it transfers you to....another robot. If you ask again to speak with a human, it goes into a loop to talk to another robot. Aside from that, their pricing is good and their work is first rate. But if you have a problem or question, good luck actually talking to a person to discuss it! I've been waiting about 10 days for an answer to the simplest of questions about whether or not my core aeration was supposed to include overseeding. You would not think that is a hard question.

Overall great service! Flexible with not mowing/charging when there are droughts. Sent alerts when the lawn would be mowed, so we were not left wondering if the lawn would/wouldn’t be mowed. Only downside- AI answering service needs improvement to help strengthen communication. Will definitely use again next year. We also hope to utilize other services in the future.

This is a review for Turfmen Lawn Fertilization, owned by Salinas Outdoor living, since they have gone completely silent and have refused to take care of their customers for literally months.

Terrible experience with this company.

There has been little to no communication and I have been attempting to cancel my services with them for weeks. They have not responded to phone calls, emails, requests directly on their Jobber website, or text messages.

In general, the work has been subpar and sloppy, requiring me to have to clean up after them every time they fertilize my lawn. Sweeping or blowing the excess fertilizer on the sidewalks is a bare minimum for any fertilizing company.

Multiple times they have sent messages that they are going to come out to fertilize, only to not show up, and give no reason as to why they were a no call no-show.

As a household with two dogs, we need some notification prior to them coming to make sure everything is cleaned up properly.

In addition, my grass only looks “OK.” Certainly no better than it ever did with me using a basic Scott’s fertilizer program.

In addition, when they placed fertilizer and straw in my backyard, they never came to remove it, and I spent over a half hour ripping up the straw and mesh that was interwoven into the grass.

Initially, their communication was fine, but they have dropped off the face of the earth, and seem to have zero care towards their existing clients.

At this point, all I want to do is cancel the service, and any future charges will be reported as fraud on my credit card.

I am obviously not the only one with this problem – they seem to have abandoned their entire customer base, read their reviews.

We had a great experience working with Lupe, Juan and Ricky at Salinas. They pulled all of our old bushes and rock that surrounded our property. Planted all new bushes and laid fresh rocks. Very transparent on pricing and timeline and they worked their butts off. Professional and friendly, highly recommended them for any landscaping needs!

Outstanding work! Salinas Outdoor Living beautifully repaired our brick mailbox and driveway, and completely rejuvenated our brick patio and firepit with new bricks. Craftsmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail were top-notch. Everything looks brand new-highly recommended!

I've struggled to find a reliable landscaping service for awhile, did some research, and decided to contact Salinas. From the first interaction I was impressed with their professionalism, punctuality, superior communication, and value for dollar. They use an app-style service to let you choose times that work for you for an estimate and once you approve the estimate electronically, let you know when they plan to arrive to perform the work; really appreciate how streamlined and simple this was. The first service I had was a cleanup and mulch/edge of all the beds at my house (there are many). The price they quoted me was very reasonable, and they showed up day-of and worked quickly while being very respectful of my property. The finished work exceeded my expectations. It seems like there are so many companies out there, but I (like many consumers) have struggled with poor communication, excessively high prices, no-shows etc. - I highly recommend Salinas Lawn & Power and will continue to use them for my landscaping needs. I have used Salinas for several different yard services over the last couple of years and I am consistently pleased with their work. The prices are very reasonable, and Salinas does excellent work. We most recently had the guys come out to mulch and to install new sod in a section of our backyard. Lupe and his team are so polite, friendly, and always show up on time. I also very much appreciate their website - easy for quotes and handling payments. Thank you Salinas for all your hard work - we are very happy customers and will continue to use your services!

These guys did an amazing job! We had a ton of leaves in our yard and the team cleaned everything up in less than an hour. The service was reasonably priced and scheduled quickly. We’ve used them twice and will continue to use them for fall cleanups!

Salinas does an amazing job here at Prime storage in Glendale Heights. Snow removal and salt application is perfect all the time. Very professional and affordable. I definitely would recommend him to friends and family and other businesses around.

This is the first time we have used a Salinas, and we were very impressed with the fantastic cleanup! They were right on time and communicated well. We will be getting a quote from them as well to do some more work around our house. We highly recommend them!

This is how they transformed our backyard. We had so much weeds, shrubs that make the yard unpleasant to look at. But they did a great job of cleaning up and we love it. One problem we had that they’re not so good at calling us back for our questions that we had. but they’re great at replied email back and answered all the questions we had. My point is if this could make you feel discouraged to work with them so look pass it because they’re doing a great job. They’re show up when they said they come and they work hard. Overall, we made the right choice to hired them for reasonable price and get the job done the way you want it.

Salinas crew was great! Showed up on time as promised, worked clean and fast. They were the first ever landscaping company that showed me a 2-D rendered version of my driveway, what it’s going to look like when they are done…awesome! Very professional and very reasonably priced! Way to go Salinas!!! I am one happy client! Keep up the great work! See the before and after pix !
