Reviews of local pros in Wheaton, Illinois

I needed help replacing the old bathroom fan in an old apartment. Due to its age, there was no easy replacement model so extra work was needed to re-route the wiring, cut the drywall and mount the new fan at the correct position. Gabe did everything with great positive attitude and extreme professionalism! He went the extra mile to cut, trim and reattach a drywall piece carefully so it would fit the opening left on the ceiling. I am very happy with his work and absolutely recommend him for any electrical work you need.

CLC Total Electric is a first-rate company that provides the full range of electric-related services. Gabe and Gilbert are knowledgeable, professional, and committed to rendering the best service possible to their clients. They have performed consistently excellent work at various projects in our home over the last two years. Most recently, they prepped our kitchen for demo and then returned post-renovation to apply the finishing touches (switches, outlets, appliances). The guys at CLC are our go-to electricians, and we recommend them highly.

My husband and I CLC Total Electrical Service to get a couple of quotes to install an EV charger as well as some light electrical work. Gabriel was extremely knowledgeable and prompt with his quote and the quote was very reasonable for the work. Gilbert did the install and he was incredibly professional and respectful of our home. The work was done quickly and we’re extremely happy with it! We wouldn’t hesitate to hire CLC again for any other electrical projects!

Very satisfied with the service and pricing I received from Gabe. I had the smallest of wiring jobs that I didn’t trust my DIY skills on, so I enlisted a pro. Gabe booked me an appointment quickly, showed up on time, was very polite and respectful of my home, and worked efficiently at a fair price — all great things when it comes to working with anyone in the trades! He is skilled and knowledgeable and has earned my trust; I plan to hire him again to replace some ceiling fans. Definitely recommend CLC Total Electric Service!

CLC is easy to work with. They are prompt and knowledgeable. We had some old outdoor lighting that was not working. It took a bit to find the wiring but Gabe and Gilbert figured out the issue was underground which would have been an expensive fix. Gabe helped me pick out solar lights which were a much easier and less expensive fix and Gilbert installed them at a reasonable price.

Gabe and his team installed can lights and an extra outlet for me. His team was so professional - explaining everything, providing pros and cons of different options. And the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend !

I recently received electrical services from “CLC Total Electric Service”. The gentleman who arrived at my home was an incredibly skilled and personable electrician who tackled several issues in my garage, including fixing outlets and messy wiring, as well as making sure my home electrical panel met code requirements. He was not only efficient, completing the job in just a couple of hours, but also took the time to explain what he was doing and teach me a few things along the way. His expertise and friendly demeanor made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable.

What truly stood out was the fairness of the pricing. It’s rare to find such high-quality service at such reasonable rates. Supporting local businesses is so important, and this company is a shining example of why. If you need electrical work done, you won’t be disappointed with their services.

Highly recommended!

Gabe and his team were great to work with. They were very responsive, quick to support, and did an excellent job hanging a chandelier for my home.

We were 100% pleased with CLC Total Electric. Gilbert was efficient, accurate and the neatest electrician ever! He installed an EV charging station and outdoor lighting. Everything is great. Would hire again.

Gilbert is our guy! He shows up on time and ready to work. He had all the tools, equipment and knowledge to meet your electrical needs.

My 2nd experience with CLCTotalElectric. Gabe did an outstanding job in the 220V install for my Jacuzzi. Every step of the way he cleaned job site. His estimate of the cost was right on. Gabe was the only tech that responded to my requests. He was on time and very professional. I very highly recommend Gabe and CLC Total Electric.

Excellent service and installation quality. Very professional and qualified. Have used multiple times for various electrical jobs around the house, and always pleased with the outcome.

I highly recommend CLC Total Electric Service. Gabe responded quickly, understood what we needed, offered helpful suggestions, & effectively and efficiently fixed both our outside & inside electric needs. He was very professional, and clearly explained things to us. I’ll definitely call him again for any electric issues. Many thanks!

I've had Gabe help install floodlights, new light fixtures, and put in new switches. He has been the consummate professional every time. Pricing is fair, and service is friendly and always to code.

Both Gabe and Gilbert were very professional, competent and a pleasure to work with. They were unrushed and answered all my questions. I will continue to use them and refer to my friends.

CLC was prompt, respectful and affordable. Finding an honest company is difficult often leading to a bad experience. CLC exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend them and will be using them for future projects.

Check out the pics for the fabulous job they did rewiring my basement, they also installed several lights

Gabe was very efficient in sending a response for my request to install a security camera/floodlight outside my house, and his price estimate was very reasonable. Gilbert came out to complete the job and was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the task at hand. He made sure that everything on the network side was connected properly and the camera/light was adjusted to my preferences before he left. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to complete an electrical job in the area.

CLC is our go to for all home electrical issues! In our multiple interactions with CLC, Gabe and Gilbert have always been easy to work with. Gilbert especially is very punctual, courteous and always goes above and beyond. Their pricing is reasonable as well. I highly recommend them!

Gabe came through when we needed to find someone urgently to move a rooftop disconnect. He was punctual, prepared, and made valuable recommendations to further improve the setup.

Have worked with Gabe before on panel replacement, who also did a great job setting everything up.

I recently hired CLC Total Electric Service Inc for lighting installation in my hallway and rewiring in the bathroom, and I couldn’t be more pleased with their work. From the initial consultation to the final touches, the team was professional, efficient, and respectful of my home.

They installed the new hallway lighting perfectly — it looks great and really brightens up the space. The bathroom rewiring was handled with great care and attention to detail, and everything is now working flawlessly and up to code. They also made sure to explain what they were doing along the way, which gave me a lot of confidence in their expertise.

The crew was punctual, cleaned up thoroughly after the job, and made the whole experience stress-free. I highly recommend CLC Total Electric Service Inc for any residential electrical work. I’ll definitely call them again for future projects!

Gabe and his team were fantastic to work with. We were routing electrical from the house to a shed in the back yard. We had spoken to another company and received an outlandish quote, and had us questioning if we were even going to do the project. Gabe came out, walked me through his proposal, gave me options to hit a specific price I was looking for and was able to do the work in the same week. Completely satisfied with the work and will be reaching out again for any electrical work I need. Glad to see there is still fair and honest people in the area doing work!
