Tree reviews in Wheeling, Illinois

Davey did a great job removing the huge dying tree in our small yard. Team was fabulous. Customer service follow up was a nice touch. Definitely recommend!!

Tracey is so nice & honest, he explained everything for us. The staff who came out to trim our tree were also nice. Davey Tree will not scam you, they explain everything & give you time to decide. If by any chance you didn't like the service or you change your mind, they are happy to come back & resolve it. Very trustworthy company & this is the only company I'll go to for any tree issues!

We could not be happier with the service from Davey. We had to have 3 large trees taken out of our yard because they were diseased. Davey gave a great quote, came when they said they would be there and did the work really well. The final price came in under the quote...when does that ever happen?

Davey provided very professional, courteous service. They completed the job and exceeded all my expectations. I would highly recomend contacting Davey Tree Experts before contacting any other tree removal company.

Amando Limas was such a joy to work with. He was always so happy, answered all of my questions and was on time. I even recommended him to my neighbors and they are very happy too!

The team came out and cut down a tree and trimmed another tree. They were so neat! Picked everything up. I didn’t have to do anything! Very professional!

Davey Tree arrived as expected, successfully adjusted to some initial challenges and did an excellent job of removing dead wood and trimming branches 4-6 ft. above our roof. Everyone was very pleasant to deal with. Would definitely use them again.

Dave y has handled several diy situations with our trees. Some requiring Com Ed to turn off power. Often they climbed high into the trees. Wonderful clean up. Very polite and cheerful emplyees. Reasonable cost. Highly recommend.

We have used Davey Tree Services this year and last. Both times were great. They arrived as scheduled and were careful about our yard during the work. All trees are doing well.

We have a Sycamore tree approximately 50 ft tall with canopy of 50 ft diameter. Our tree suffered storm damage and had large broken branches hanging in the canopy. We called Davey Tree and they came out soon after. The broken branches safely removed and additional pruning done. Area was cleaned of all debris. Excellent work at a fair price. We have been loyal customers for many years and we highly recommend Davey Tree.

We have been using Davey for about 5 years, and are always very happy with the work. They have pruned our trees, wired up some large branches that are over our house, and recently took down a damaged tree. The crew is careful, but works quickly. And the turn around time between my first call to assess the tree and taking the tree down was under 3 weeks!

Hardworking professionals in Davey’s Wheeling location. They’ve been out to our home on a couple of occasions. Depend on them to get the job done. We have older, XL trees on our wooded lot so having an experienced team with the right equipment is a must. Safety is paramount given our trees are adjacent to the road, fences and homes.

John Tobias created an excellent plan for the trees and shrubs in our yard. The team trimmed all our trees, removed an ailing tree, replaced it with a beautiful river birch, and scheduled fertilizer for shrubs this fall. The whole team worked well and seamlessly together to support our arbor needs. Julie worked with the village and utility companies ahead of the work day. Grateful for their care and plan to enhance the lives of our trees!

They were all extremely professional, courteous, efficient, and thoughtful.

Matthew Thompson, our arborist, assisted in choosing the trees and he chose excellent specimens from the nursery. The crew thoughtfully transplanted and watered the perennials that needed to be moved to make space for the new trees. They were polite and seemed to take pride in their work. The new trees and shrubs were placed with care and repositioned as necessary. All of this work was completed pleasantly and with attention to detail. I am extremely happy with the job Davey Tree completed, start to finish, and I would recommend them to friends and family in the future.

Davey has been out 3 or 4 times to trim my very large oak and maple trees and do some trimming on smaller trees on the property. I look forward to the crews showing up - great teams that do efficient and complete jobs with minimal disturbance. Last week they trimmed three large trees on my property and had to being a cherry-picker tractor. They laid out plywood for the tractor and three days later there wasn't a trace of their presence on the lawn. I recommend Davey/Wheeling without hesitation.

Could not be happier with the service I got with the Davey crew. Lost an old beautiful tree to disease and they took it down, ground out the stump, roots and all and left the yard in great condition. Honestly never worked with a happier crew. Says good things about the company when your workers are so friendly and personable.

I have been using Davey tree for over 25 years. Always professional , on time, great work and clean up. Recently we had a bad storm that blew down two large branches from two different trees. My arborist, Armando Limas , came the very next day to remove the branches. He made time for me despite it being a very busy day with a lot of downed trees and limbs in my area.

John Dresher at Davey Tree is a true professional who always delivers. He is extremely knowledgeable and can answer your questions and give good advice on all things trees/bushes. Prices are very competitive and the Davey Tree crews are first rate. I highly recommend Davey Tree. We have been using them for years for all our tree care needs from fertilization to removal.

On December 3,2024, Davey Tree cut down my very mature Pin Oak tree. It was so close to my house & deck while over hanging my roof. The recent storms that took down many other tree branches, made me very nervous. There was no easy access to the tree in the backyard. It was a very difficult job. There were 4 crew members & it took all day. I was amazed at their skill to precisely land the limbs perfectly on the ground. The clean up was excellent also. I have had Davey for years but this was the first time for such a difficult job. I highly recommend Davey. My Arborist, Amando Limas, communicates well & is extremely knowledgeable.

The arborist who evaluated our problem trees was wonderful. She took time to carefully examine the trees and explained exactly what she was looking for. She answered my questions fully and along the way, I learned a good deal about trees and how they grow. She understood that tree work is a big investment for home owners and she suggested several ways to save money. All in all, my husband and I were very happy with her final proposal which she drew up at the end of her evaluation.
I had used Davey years ago and was impressed by their holistic and knowledgable approach to tree work. I was not disappointed this time. I recommend them highly.

The Davey tree team that manages my home's trees is excellent. Andrew Krause has provided me excellent service with all my tree maintenance for over 10 years. Their annual treatment plan and proactive approach to keeping my trees healthy and professional trimmed/pruned, has added value to my home and prevented home damage and unnecessary tree loss. I highly recommend them to my friends.

The trimmer and the assistant worked fast and clean, but i thought more of the lower branches would be removed especially the ones that were over the neighbors yard. At the time I didn’t notice.
