My electricity went out on half my house on Friday night and the company was able to send somebody out Saturday evening. His investigation determined there were "2 or 3 breakers going bad" and the told me the dryer needed a dedicated circuit. They quoted me $2,700 to replace the entire panel and give the dryer a dedicated circuit. I called another company for a second opinion before pulling the trigger on that and thank god I did. Second company found that it was a dead leg from the power company supply that was only providing 20 volts to my house and he checked the dryer and it was already on its own dedicated circuit and he stated my panel was dated but not in need of replacement at this time. I contacted the power company and they were correct and were able to install an inverter until they can permanently resolve the situation so my power is back on fully. I don't appreciate this company not investigating every avenue or even checking that the dryer was on its own circuit before assuming it wasn't due to the fact that running the dryer is when the power went out. If I accepted their advice I would have paid almost 3k and still not have solved the problem. Always get a second opinion. I will never recommend this company.
