Absolutely horrendous experience. The son stopped by multiple times trying to get some work done, and each time lowering the price. After we agreed on a price and paid the deposit, we never heard from him again. Three weeks after they were supposed to come remove the agreed upon tree, I finally gave them a call and spoke to his father. He came by to discuss the work and was exceptionally rude. He told me that they didn’t even have the right equipment to take care of our tree that is probably 50ft tall and cantilevered over tue garage. He then very forcefully gave me my deposit back and very hastily took off.
We agreed to a service, and even out money down for it, so this is extraordinarily unprofessional. If they do not have the proper equipment, that would be a them problem, and not a me problem. They agreed to something, and they should be held responsible for fulfilling the contract that was signed.
And then the fact that the father (owner) was so utterly rude and disrespectful? I get it that he was frustrated with what his son did; and after reading these reviews, apparently it happens a lot. That still gives him no right to be rude and disrespectful to me. He can take it out on his son later, but I should have no part in that disrespect.

They are very unprofessional. His son and I had an agreement which was a good one. Which entailed trimming 6 trees and splitting the wood then his father Mike calls me and said he can only do 3 because he can’t afford to pay his so called 9 workers. Well that is not my problem. I signed the agreement and gave him a$100 dollar deposit. Oh and then he said “I can’t split your wood so why don’t I take your trees and I will give you a free truck load. No way. My lumber from the 6 trees from my property would be worth at the least 6 to 7 truck loads. Spread the word that he is very dishonest. Horrible business.

Total rip off! Price quoted for services. Deposit given with receipt and then were changed numerous times to try to get more money. Father stating son under quoted . Work stated to be completed not finished. Tree branches were cut off without removing full logs. Made excuses not to finish work because of electrical lines where the tree was not on or over. Finally to add injury to insult showed up without making an appointment unannounced and didn't put back yard furniture that was moved.

I had hired economy tree service some years back when I lived in East Glen Park. I had a huge old pine tree in front of my house that I was afraid would fall on my house during a storm. I wanted the top half cut off and the deal was for them to haul away and cut it up and dispose of. Yea they disposed of it alright, right into an abandoned structure at the time across from my house. They took the huge 13-14 ft pine tree top onto their blue truck, drove around the block, and waited till I went in and dumped it not cut up but whole and thought I would never spot it. I called and complained, a couple days later, they came and got it. Two weeks later I found it again, a block over from my house this time in an abandoned corner lot. Gary already has a dumping problem and professional businesses should not be adding to it.

Blocks entire street of work site when there’s plenty of room to make room for cars to allow to pass. Blocks residential driveways. Goes door to door soliciting early in the morning to people that did not request their services. A guy parks in front of my house and I look to see what they’re doing and he gives me a death stare the whole time like they aren’t in front of my property. We’ve had plenty of tree companies work in our neighborhood and there was never an issue with any of them because the others knew how to be considerate to the resident’s & professional. I ran a successful landscape company for many years and know this not how to handle things when in residential neighborhoods. The house you’re working at isn’t the only house on the block. This is not a review on the quality of their work because I did not hire them but rather their professionalism. 0/10.

What a scam. Gabriel shows up quotes a good price, takes a deposit and contact signed. Mike shows up the next day wanting more money for the job, talking about his 9 employee overhead. Fortunately I didn't give him a cash deposit or write a check out to Gabriel personally.

Trust me, do not do business with Economy Tree Service. We asked that a stump be cut down in a presentable manner. The guy acted as if he had never operated a chainsaw and just took careless swipes at it. The result: an absolutely horrible job!!! He said, "That's the best I can do," and left us with a mess.

I’m home minding my own business this guys pulls up aggressively in my driveway asking for the owner I responded you must be the owner how you pulled up in my driveway..Oh I’m sorry he stated then he states I want to offer a bid on tree! I proceeded in curiosity he made me an offer I couldn’t refuse as a homeowner! Contract locked in I made a $100 cash deposit! Shortly after everything was set! I received multiple calls calls and a text suggesting I was his type of woman and did i want to make some extra money! Totally inappropriate total predatory and Lustful behavior and definitely bad for business! I never answered call that day! The next morning service was due to start that day I received a call 7am I did think it was pretty early I assume the call was to confirm service! No it’s was solicitation by Gabriel of me making extra money by allowing him to do sexual acts! I was totally disrespected! Highly offended violated by a predator! The Company was doing work later that Morning on my block the Father Mike showed up …We talked he said don’t be offended his Son is bipolar! Sir I’m HIGHLY OFFENDED and you shouldn’t HAVE YOUR SON OUT IN THE Field Knowing His Turbulent Behavior!
Father you are bad for your own business by allowing this behavior to continue and to diminish what was done to Me! Is not settling! Beware of the Predators That Own an Operate These Companies! God Bless Be Safe!
