Sam did a fantastic job replacing 4 light fixtures including a ceiling fan. In addition to his great work he was polite, friendly and fast. Would definitely hire Ashpaugh and Sam again!

Called Ashpaugh Electric and they were able to get me in 2 days later. On day of appointment they were able to come earlier than scheduled (that never happens with any company I've experienced). JR & Killian talked out my project I was needing to do and verified what was needing to be done to keep it to code. Answered all my questions, came up with a proposal that was within what I was expecting. They started right away and were able to complete the job sooner than expected and were able to put in less holes into the basement ceiling than expected (only 1!!). Very friendly and professional. I have used Ashpaugh prior and had the same experience. I would highly recommend!!!

Greg and Brennen from Ashpough Electric did a great job installing my Generac Standby Generator System. There knowledge and work ethic allowed the job to be done on time with a clean looking result. I highly recommend them for installing Generac Systems.

I recently moved into a new house and needed an EV charger installed. Davids Electric told me I’d need a new panel to accommodate it, but I decided to get a second opinion. Asphaugh Electric came out the very same day, and it turned out I did not need a new panel after all.

JR came back just two days later—early, no less—and had my charger set up and running in no time. He was honest, professional, reasonably priced, and an absolute pleasure to work with. To top it off, he left my garage looking better than when he arrived.

The guys that came out were very nice! They added an electrical outlet for me. I also had another outlet that was needing updated, but it took many different trials to find out what was going on. In the end, the price was much higher than I expected. I wish they had given me a deal from the initial diagnosis that required changes the second time they came out. However, I'm happy with the end result.

Steve and Sam came to my house a few months ago to fix a blown fuse and several outlets that were out. They were quick, polite, and got the job done for a fair price. Very professional and would hire them again!

Greg and Sam did an excellent job installing a 50 amp NEMA 14-50 outlet in my garage for charging my EV. They were very kind and respectful and managed to make it work under some constraints at my breaker. Would recommend their services and will personally use them again!

Greg came out to check our breaker box which we had been told needed to be replaced. He told us we needed one breaker replaced and then he did maintenance work on the others. He was very detailed, communicated well with us and showed/explained his work.

Just 2 days after reaching out to them, we got the onsite quote, estimate and work all done in the same day for 2 outlets we needed moved. Sam was great - very happy with our experience! Super transparent and professional.

I had an outlet that no longer worked and my doorbell was no longer getting power. I also wanted general maintenance done to insure everything was working as expected at the breaker box.

I have been using Ashpaugh Electric for over 20 years. From new construction to any type of remodel, they have done the job to meet all my expectations. I highly recommend them for any of your electrical improvements.

Ashpaugh Electric replaced an overhead fan switch as requested. While here, they also did a panel inspection, during which they found and replaced a loose breaker that could well have resulted in system arcing. As a final service, they checked a bathroom light bar with what appeared to be loose sockets; rather than selling us an additional service, they showed us a safe workaround when replacing the bulbs. As with previous visits, Anspaugh staff were courteous, friendly, and extremely helpful, and the technicians (Greg and Brennen) were excellent. We especially appreciated their help in avoiding costly additional work. Highly recommended.

Greg, Josiah and Tommy did an excellent job repairing our electrical meter that was pulling away from the house due to ground settling. They were prompt, professional and nice, getting us all squared away. Highly recommend.

Ashpaugh has been extremely reliable and prompt in all of the service that they have performed for us. Today, we had JR come and perform about four (4) hours of work. He was extremely professional and checked his work thoroughly before he cleaned up and called it complete. Definitely recommend.

Ashpaugh was professional in every way from the first contact through the completed installation. They were timely, neat and clean and careful. They never forgot where they were or what they were doing. Greg was the lead and was assisted by J.R. I was completely happy with their ability as well as attitude and effort. If my new generator works as well as the installation team I will be well taken care of.

First of all, I e-mailed Brian Ashpaugh on Sunday night about several electrical failures that needed immediate help, and he sent Greg, a VERY experienced electrician, on Monday morning! Greg was an incredible trouble-shooter, found the issues and fixed them. He was here for nearly 5 hours. These guys are FANTASTIC!!!

An Ashpaugh estimator came to provide a quote for installing an EV outlet directly next to our breaker box. Their bid came in at double the price of two other licensed, reputable companies that also back their work with warranties.

If you don’t mind overpaying by 100%, maybe this is the company for you. But if you value your money, look elsewhere. Ashpaugh tries to justify their inflated rates with talk of “reputation, warranty, and quality,” but when equally qualified electricians charge half as much, that claim falls flat.

Greed isn’t quality—don’t be fooled.

Update: The estimator and I stood in the garage and discussed the exact location of the outlet. I was very clear about the exact location of the outlet and it was within 2 feet of the box. I was told by the other companies who had quoted us that this would contribute greatly to the cost, so I knew to request the outlet close to the box. We also discussed the needed voltage and amps. This was discussed at length with the estimator that I would need a 240 volt-40 amp outlet. Your quote also very clearly states 240 volt-40 amp outlet. Your claims below that the quote is for a 240 volt-60 amp outlet are fabricated.

More dishonest business practices from Ashpaugh Electric…

Had a tricky situation with an electric range plug - limited space and an aged set of wiring. Sam did a great job sorting it all out for me in record time and a reasonable price. Ashpaugh is my regular contractor of choice for anything electrical - always do a great job!
