Rick was professional, thorough and truly listened to my concerns. I did go with siding on my home, however should I have painting needs in the future, I most definitely will be contacting him again!

I hired this company for popcorn ceiling removal. I am sooo happy with the results. I just bought this home, which has low ceilings. Removing this dated stuff has made a big difference. The ceilings has made my home look even more open and brighter.

It took an extra two days than I anticipated, but it was due to poor weather and ice, which it made it unsafe to drive.

The workers worked hard and did an excellent job. They were friendly, professional and helpful.

Later, when I decide to paint the exterior of my house, I want the same crew.

Richard was very friendly and professional also. He kept me updated with the progression of the job.

I recommend That 1 Painter highly.

Gustavo and his crew did a nice job of removing the acoustic from ceilings, patched a few holes where needed. They re-textured and painted the ceilings and walls. I also had the fireplace painted and it made a world of difference in the living room.
Overall, great quality for the price and I will use them in the future.

Amazing service, quality and professionalism. They completely transformed our home, repainting entire place including several cabinets. They were very detailed oriented in remediating several cosmetic issues from previous damage and mistakes made by prior painters. They were on time and kept to schedule, very efficient. Rick keeps you up to date and informed and does walk through in the end to make sure you're completely satisfied before closing out the project. Definitely recommend them for your home painting needs!

Rick Norton was a pleasure to work with. Quickly came out and gave us a fair quote. Quickly got the job done. And did a fantastic job. Will definitely use That 1 Painter again for all of our painting needs.

So we contacted this company and within about an hour we were scheduled for them to come out and give us a quote. Rick, who stated he was the owner, came out with a rookie painter and assessed our new home. We wanted 3 bedrooms, the living room, the kitchen and dining room painted as well as the ceilings. Rick told us to pick the paint colors we wanted and he would basically handle the rest. He contracted a young man named Jose who was very friendly and they showed up a couple days later ready to go. In 2.5 days they repaired the walls, repaired a crack in the ceiling, painted all the walls and ceilings we requested. They contacted us for a walkthrough. On the day of the final walkthrough, Rick let us know that he was tied up with another work issue and couldn’t be there, but sent his wife who was just great. She walked us through and was funny and friendly. We pointed out a couple of things needing repair or another coat and Jose fixes those things and made sure we were in good shape. At the end of it all we spent about $3980 and it was worth every cent with this company. For as long as we are in DFW, these folks will paint our stuff if we can’t handle the job ourselves.

I do not recommend using any "That 1 Painter" franchise. They do not honor their warranty which is supposed to be 3 years. Rick Norton asked for more money and then when he came back to redo the job he again did not use enough paint/finish and then it faded. I called to have him come back to apply another coat and all of sudden he's no where to be found. Rick refuses to return my calls. They have my money and now I am being told Rick is no longer with the franchise anymore. You run the risk of these guys abruptly quiting and then your stuck with an unfinished job. I even called Abby who runs the Fort Worth franshise to honor Rick's work but she has now ghosted me too. Abby promised to honor the work done by the Burleson (Tarrant County South) franchisee, which was operated Rick and Janice Norton but Abby is apparently not interested and doesn't care. I wrote this on behalf of my elderly mother who lives in Benbrook, TX. I will be glad to give a 5 star if they honor their warranty.

I'm giving 2 stars because I feel like Rick is trying to run a reputable business; however, a company's reputation depends on the quality of its employees and the contractors Rick employed to paint my home are unprofessional, dishonest, and careless and I can't leave a great review in good faith after my experience.
I'm mostly pleased with the painting they did, but in the process, they damaged my newly refinished hardwood floors in several places by skipping basic/common sense prep work. When attempting to "clean up" the damage, they stripped the finish off of my floor and it will now require repair by a professional. Additionally, several items are missing from my home. I have video evidence showing that no one else had access and that they removed my property without returning it.
I raised my concerns to Rick and have received no resolution or contact weeks after the fact, and I cannot recommend hiring this company.

Our paint job was completed in less than 2 days! Rick, the owner, was there from initial estimate to final walk through. Communication throughout the project was excellent and the final job changed the look of our home! We will be using them again!

I am so happy with the outcome of our home. Rick and his team are very professional and helped me with alot of the decisions we ended up going with. They did 3 walk thrus with us to make sure everything was done correctly and to our expectations as well as theirs. On a personal note, they were not our lowest bid. We went with them due to being so personable, respectful and down to earth. Not pushy at all like other companies we met with. Rick Norton, Cole Norton and the painting crew are very knowledgeable, honest and friendly. I will definitely recommend them and use them again. Feel like I made some new friends as well. Use this company and Rick, you will not regret it. Thank you Rick and team, you Rock.

My wife and I recently used That 1 Painter to paint the interior of our home. We could not be more satisfied with the quality of the work. They did accent walls, trim, doors, and were very professional. Rick the owner was very upfront with everything and let me know what to expect. Gustavo, the main painter, did a wonderful job! His quality of work was second to none. Everything turned out better than we expected, and I would highly recommend That 1 Painter to anyone looking to paint their home. Hire a professional!

I had the inside of my entire home painted and Rick and his crew did an outstanding job. I also had my bathroom cabinets painted with new hardware installed. They also fixed my ceiling where I had a water leak and it looks brand new. Rick was very responsive to my texts if I had questions or concerns. I highly recommend him.

I moved out of state and didn’t know any painting companies and I am so glad that That 1 Painter replied to my inquiry on Thumbtack. The interior painting was perfectly done, both Rick and Cole would come by the house at the end of each day to check in the job.
The team is very professional, polite and hard working. They were able to complete the job within my time frame and did such an amazing job that I had them complete the rest of my house. They finished 2 days earlier than expected.

Rick and his team were very professional and took the time needed to complete all 3 buildings. It was a big project to paint 2 very old houses and 1 shed. They successfully painted everything just how we wanted and made repairs that modernized the old buildings. The crew was hardworking and Rick's drive to make sure his customers are satisfied are two important qualities that make them a great choice for any paint job.

Great company with service-first mentality! On top of that, top tier people doing the work. Joseph did an amazing job, had a great attitude, and was committed to us and the job.

Update: Paid $11k and was told it would be done professionally and in a timely manner. This was not the case. Was charged and paid the $11k, and I am now back at square one. The work was not done/installed properly, the 3 year "warranty" is non existent, everybody is have spoke to says, call this number for corporate. I didn't realize there were 7 different phone numbers for the corporate office that all go straight to the same voicemail box. No phone calls have been returned in over a week. So, to the "owner" that got my $11k and to That1Painter, you're welcome for the free money.

Work was done by the Burleson operation, which is no longer in business. Have reached out to SEVERAL different divisions and told to contact Austin as they are the corporate team. Still have not had any help as every division i have spoken with says, "we didn't do the work, call another division and see what they can do." This should be a corporate problem at this point, and they refuse to answer the phone, unless of course you say you're a new customer wanting a quote.

Update: one year later and the siding is pulling apart from each other, missing caulking and sealant. Water leaking into the interior walls that now have bubbling. Getting the run around and Rick is no longer around.

Very happy with services completed on the exterior of our house. We were happy with Rick and his team overall, great communications and services completed was as expected.

It is worth mentioning that my home is relatively new, but thanks to their skillful application of paint, it now feels brand new once again.

I love the service that That Paint 1 brings. I love Kali’s expertise and she really helped me and offered great advice through everything ! She helped me with the painting color, to the kitchen pulls. She’s so caring and treated my home like it was hers.. she a great asset to Rick and That 1 Painting. Rick is very responsive and made everything better even during the smallest hick ups! I would recommend them to everyone and they did a phenomenal job to my bathroom, kitchen and adding the cover to my pergola in the backyard! Very trustworthy company.. I had to leave a couple times for doctors appointments and I didn’t feel apprehensive about leaving them in my home unattended. Will be doing business with them in the near future.
