Reviews of local pros in St Charles, Iowa

We recently had Pat & his team do a 2nd landscape project at our home. They arrived on time, were respectful of my property-reseeding grass area after the project, and the final project is exactly what I had envisioned. I'm 100% satisfied and will highly recommend him to friends and family.

Pat and Cody were very kind and professional to work with. They did a quality job on our patio, firepit, and outdoor grill area. They designed a great grill space for a gas grill and kamado smoker to sit under a pergola. They worked with the granite team to make sure the custom fit for the smoker was just right. They'll be back in the spring to finish the pergola... everything else looks great so far and we would highly recommend them to anyone.

Pat and Cody did an excellent job. The design and preconstruction work/meetings were organized and well thought out. Pat listened to my requests and was extremely professional. Communication was clear. Plant recommendations were nice. Pat and Cody worked in a way that was minimally invasive and kept the project site neat and orderly. They completed the project timely and everything looks beautiful!

Pat & Cody with Earthly Possibilities did an amazing job with my backyard. It had steep hills with a dry wash at the bottom. Between that & the overgrowth it was extremely difficult to mow. They presented a solution & created a gorgeous patio & retaining wall, complete with a stepping stone path across. Their work is exemplary & their attitudes are warm yet professional.

This was my first landscaping and hardscaping project. I had no idea what to expect. A few months after moving into our newly built home, I responded to a prospecting mailer from Earthly Possibilities. Pat and Cody were consultative, cost-conscious, thorough, and hands-on throughout the process. Most important, they were honest and upfront. Thumbs up on the end result, too!

We enjoyed working with Pat and Cody. From start to finish they were very professional. We’ve had many people that that’ve visited, and commented on the detail and quality of their work. This was a fun experience and we are already planning our next landscaping project, with them.

Pat and his team just finished a patio and fire pit project in our backyard. We are really, really happy with the results. At the beginning of the process, Pat took time to meet with us and listen to what we hoped for in the end. He came up with a thoughtful and beautiful design. When we saw it we knew we wanted him to do our project. He even drew in some landscaping that we were going to do at a later time, but when we saw the design we decided to do it all because it looked so nice. When they came to actually do the project, we were so impressed. Cody, his foreman, was meticulous in his work and the stonework is beautiful. All of the guys were really hard workers. They didn’t rush just to get the job done but really invested themselves in doing it right. I loved that they cleaned up at the end of each day. When the project was all done, they restored the grass and left everything looking nice and clean. I don’t have even one thing to say that they could improve upon. We were completely satisfied with the whole process from start to finish.

Pat and his crew did an amazing job building our stone patio. From the design process through the final walkthrough, they were professional and did excellent work. We recommend Earthly Possibilities to anyone that is looking for a high quality and creative landscape company to transform their outdoor space.

Pat & Cody did a fantastic job on our new patio. From the initial site visit, patio design, through construction, Pat & Cody were professional and communicative. Pat made sure he encompassed our vision and provided us with several designs at different price points. He met with us to pick out the colors to make sure it was what we were aiming for. Overall, a great experience and a professional, courteous job.

Excellent experience!
We compared a few vendors and were very happy with our choice to go with Earthly Possibilities. They seemed to offer the best option for our project needs, concerns and temperament.

Our project included custom stone edging and rock beds around the house perimeter, a custom backyard fire pit, decorative large boulders a variety of plants throughout - from grass, to shrubs and trees)

Areas we were most impressed with were:
1. Expertise - They were very knowledgeable about all aspects of the products and process and took time to answer all of our questions.
2. Experience and workmanship - Their years of experience was clear from the examples/pictures they shared from past projects, and in the quality of their workmanship.
3. Attitude and personality - They were always friendly, upbeat and personable.
4. Commitment to the project - We were astounded at their dedication to working through the project - even in some very harsh weather conditions. And no aspect was ever rushed to get through it.

We would definitely use Earthly Possibilities for any future project and will certainly recommend them to friends and family in the area for any landscaping projects they may be exploring.

I was excited about the result on my new retaining well. Cody kindly answered all my questions.

Pat and Cody are great to work with. They helped us through the design stage and were able to advise us and steer us away from bad decisions. They were very flexible when we made changes to the plan and even added more to the project as it progressed. Always on time and got the job done really quickly.

We highly recommend Earthly Possibilities to anyone who is looking to hardscape.
Pat was able to come up with a wonderful design after listening to what we wanted and worked in conjunction with us to construct a fabulous addition to the front of our house.
Pat was tremendous with his input and explaining the options we had and what he would be able to do.
His crew completely transformed the front of our house, and made an area that we can enjoy a very special place.
From removing the bushes and concrete walkway in front to building the hardscape, their work was impeccable as was their cleanup after the job was completed.
They even did little things like helping to dig up some plants we weren’t able to transfer yet and helped to keep them viable.
We could not be happier.
Pat, the owner, was spot on with his suggestions and incorporating what we wanted into a fabulous front addition that we truly love.
We highly, highly recommend that you contact Pat if you are looking at adding a deck or outside patio or an outdoor entertainment area. We were originally debating whether a deck or a hard scape area would be best for us. We couldn’t be happier with our decision.

5 stars from OmniTel Communications! They did a great job, were responsive, and very pleasant to work with. Thank you!

As a small business owner myself, I understand the weight and impact of leaving a poor review, which is why this is the first poor review I’ve ever written.

I was initially excited to work with Pat at Earthly Possibilities. He seemed trustworthy and professional, and I received an estimated project cost along with the requirement to pay a $500 design fee before starting. Although I had quotes from five other companies—none of which required a design fee—I decided to move forward with Pat because I believed in his professionalism.

Unfortunately, this trust was misplaced. Pat no-showed our scheduled appointment to finalize the details and then went completely unresponsive for over a week, ignoring texts and phone calls after the no-show meeting. It wasn’t until I mentioned filing a complaint with the BBB that he finally responded, sending an updated quote that doubled the one he initially stated, but promised to send a partial refund of $250 of the $500 design fee, which I agreed upon. There was never an apology on his end. He claimed the check had been sent, but over a month later, I still haven’t received it

This experience has been deeply disappointing. It’s not just about the money—it’s about wasted time, a lack of accountability, and poor communication. I will be filing a BBB claim. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Earthly Possibilities to others.

Pat and his team has done many landscaping jobs for our clients that we had built decks for with Deck & Drive Solutions. Pat is a man of many ideas and is great in incorporating the homeowners and my ideas into a project. Great guy to work with and everyone on his team are very personal and professional. Landscaping projects always look great after these guys!! I would highly recommend this company for your landscaping needs!!

Pat and the crew did a fantastic job of replacing and expanding our patio. Each step was explained to us as the project moved along and our input was always welcomed. Very easy to work with and the results are great!

Pat and his team did a fantastic job on our 400 sqft patio using Unilock Westport pavers. The quality of the work is awesome and they cleaned up the area perfectly when done. I would highly recommend them for your outdoor living space work!

Pat and his team did an extraordinary job on our new patio! We had a very standard small deck in our backyard and they transformed it into a wonderful outdoor living area with a large paver patio and new landing for the steps into the house. Pat was very thorough in his communications with us and they completed the project in a short amount of time. They were very tidy as well, cleaned up each night and made sure the fencing was replaced so our dogs wouldn’t get out. We will likely be adding on more features over the next couple years and will absolutely be calling Pat back for future projects! We’ve highly recommend Earthly Possibilities Landscaping for any of your outdoor projects!

Earthly Possibilities came to build a new retaining wall after the old wood wall was rotting and collapsing. In 4 days they had the old out and the new wall built. Everything was cleaned up and put back in place. Excellent work and would highly recommend them. God bless you for a job well done!!

Pat and Cody make a great team, keeping it light but professional and doing great work. Our project was not overly complicated, but the large variation in grade forced some flexibility on their part as it progressed. They made sure everything worked out right and even replaced some grass seed washed away by mother nature. Quality work with quality materials; will hire again for any future projects needing professional experience.
