Worst timing ever. No lawn service should be working before 7:00AM in a residential area. This morning they were out there waking the neighborhood up at 5:45. Not cool!!!

We’ve had large limbs come down in our yard a couple times in the past few years and Wright Outdoor Solutions has sent someone out the same day we called. The limbs were removed by the next day. All tree debris was cleaned up and they left no sign they were even there. We will continue to use Wright for all of our tree services.

Contacted Wright in the fall for a consultation and never received a design as we were promised. Followed up this spring and was told we would have our already completed plan within a day or two. We still have nothing weeks later.

They replied to our request of tree trimming and gave us the quote right away but never came to get the job done. We understand the weather situations, but the first time, they never called or emailed to let us know about canceling the job. I had to call multiple times to get a date they would come. Second time, they emailed confirming they are coming but never showed up and never called or replied to my email to reschedule. Really unreliable and poor service.

I have been with Wright Outdoor Solution for a few years, the service was great, the price was reasonable. In October 2014 I received a letter stating they made mistake by over fertilizing in the due to a malfunction with their application equipment. That killed my grass. They responded right away stating, "One of our company’s values is to build quality into everything we do, and in this case we may have not performed according to that value. We sincerely apologize and will do everything we can to remedy any negative effects to your lawn." An agent come out to look at my lawn to see what needs to be done. The bottom line, my grass was burnt, there were spots with no grass at all effective Spring 2015. They promised they would do reseeding as well as 2 free applications in Spring 2015 to see if the condition of the lawn improves. They've done what was promised, the lawn improved slightly, however, it wasn't restored to the original condition for which they cared for a few years. I spoke with their Vice President and asked him to lay new grass and the condition that I asked was mid May. Someone from the office contacted me the following day and we had a verbal agreement. They asked me to mark my irrigation heads so they wouldn't damage it and someone will be out to lay new grass within a few days. However, they kept delaying the process stating many people were affected and I am next in line, however, because of the rain in Des Moines their contractor is delayed. It's end of July, the rain has stopped for a month now, I am yet to hear back from them. I removed my irrigation markings at this point since it makes it difficult to mow the grass I have recovered and I will find another company. Just wanted to share my experience with Wright Outdoor Solutions, after all, they attempted to do it right but failed. UPDATE: Wright Outdoor Solutions contacted! I have used Wright Outdoor Solutions for several years to take care of a 250+ year old Burr Oak tree that sits above our house.

I do believe without their expertise and assistance this beautiful tree would have been lost to all to view years ago.

I have used Wright Outdoor Solutions several times to trim trees in our yard. They have always done a good job, and suggested things that should be done, like how to care for our trees ourselves. I will continue to use them as needed.

Quick response time. Job was scheduled in timely manner. Poor communication led to irreparable mistakes with only a small discount for the error. Asked trunk to be left standing and they cut it to the ground. Debris was left crossing property line into neighbors yard for more than 24hrs. Was unable to have my fence reinstalled when scheduled due to this, and am still without a fence due to the error. Office people were lovely and I'm grateful the job was done, but will likely not recommend this company in the future.

Onsite crew was very professional in removing one of the large trees in our backyard. They worked safely and kept the site thoroughly cleaned up throughout the process. The stump removal process went went also. We would highly recommend Wright Outdoor Solutions!

Over the years Wright Outdoor Solutions has helped us with new house landscaping and re-mulching programs. In all cases they were on time and performed the job. They have good employees!

Wright Outdoor Solutions provides and maintains the plants for our law firm. They have been our provider since we opened, and cared for our plants throughout the pandemic, without fail, and safely. Wright is fantastic about replacing plants when needed, moving them around our office for more sun, and their office staff and client service staff (Nick) are always friendly and reliable! Great prices, beautiful products, and great customer service!

Very pleased with Wright Outdoor leaf removal. i was kept informed as to scheduled date of service and amount i would pay. They were here and gone and did a excellent job. i highly recommend their services. My neighbors were pleased as well.

Would not hire. Highly recommend using another business’ services. Unethical business practices that include overcharging their clients, changing proposals after they have been signed, and leaving proposals purposefully vague so they can overcharge and complete project on their own timeline. Originally had them hired for two services, but they completely overlooked my mulch project, that was supposed to be done in the spring, but it didn’t get done the whole year. Hired to reset majority of the pavers on my patio, instead they only reset a few of them (which took less time and materials than was told) but still charged me the full amount. You will not get the quality of service you will be asked to pay for, and you will wait a long time to get any work done.

Should have read the yelp reviews before choosing Wright. We needed ash trees removed from our yard and got a quote from Wright in June. We agreed to do the work and we were told we would be on the schedule for sometime in early to mid October. Today is Nov. 4 so it is way past the time frame. We went ahead and hired someone else because we figured Wright wasn’t coming. We then got an email last night that said they were coming to cut the trees TODAY?! Less than 12 hrs notice. My husband immediately emailed back to cancel but they didn’t read it or see it and they then show up to my house when no one is home this morning. They got no answer at the door and our back yard is fully gated in and they think that is a green light to go ahead and work in the yard. My husband then had to call the company to tell the workers to stop and they said they’d call him back and then never did. After 90 years in the supposed business you’d think that they would communicate better. Whoever does the scheduling and communication should be fired. The contract we signed said that we needed to cancel within 7 days but when we are not given even 12 hrs notice how do they expect us to adhere to that timeframe? Also there wasn’t even a time of the day listed in the email notice either. Would never recommend them to anyone, was referred by a family member but I will not be going with them for anything.

We have two giant maples in our back yard, Wright came in and thinned both trees so we have more filtered light and air through both trees. Also, we had two mature Aspens that had grown past their maturity. We had both cut down and stumps removed. We were very impressed and pleased with the work Wright did for us and the clean-up was excellent. Also, their prices were better than other estimates we received. We were more then satisfied with the final product and would recommend their services fully.

I was extremely impressed by the crew that showed up to do the work on our home. It was a large project with multiple areas being completed and there were only two guys that did the whole project. They were polite, friendly, courteous, and extremely hard working. They pushed to get the job done, moving from when they arrived to when they went home. They did so without ever jeopardizing the quality of their work. They were very organized, cleaned up every day before they left, and worked around other work we are having done on the home. I am very glad that we got the crew we did and I am extremely happy with the end results!

The initial landscaping design process was easy as well. Even during the wait for completion when I changed my mind on things a few times, they updated the proposal with ease and never made me feel like I was a burden. Incredible crew of people to work with. I am very glad we chose Wright for our outdoor projects!

Highly recommend Wright Outdoor Solutions. They ground a large stump in our front yard and backfilled with dirt. The price was reasonable. The crew was professional and friendly. They cleaned up the mess - the project looks great.

Great experience! They showed up when they said they would. They removed an enormous oak tree from my front yard with very minimal damage to my yard. The workers were very professional and courteous, and left everything as clean as when they arrive, minus a tree of course :). I would highly recommend Wright Outdoor Solutions for any of your outdoor needs.

Dealing with Wright Tree Care and their associated companies has been a nightmare. Although they primarily work with utilities, their practices and treatment of customers trickle down into their residential arm, and it’s clear they’re cut from the same cloth.

Here’s what happened:

I spent months battling Xcel Energy to address a massive tree threatening to crush my house.

I paid a contractor to remove this tree that was wrapped in a power line, but I was really paying him to coordinate with Wright Tree and Xcel.

Wright Tree removed 75% of the tree as required but left the remaining 7 feet for me to deal with—costing me $2,000 out of pocket because they couldn’t just finish the tree.

To make matters worse, one of their utility workers tried to undercut my contractor, offering to do the job off the books for cash. When corporate found out, instead of addressing the systemic issues in their industry, their HR rep Tammy Gillon harassed me with multiple calls in one morning to "close her investigation", wasting even more of my time.

Their manager in Minneapolis had the nerve to lecture me about “integrity in the tree industry” and how “you just don’t do that,” only thinking about his side of things, while ignoring my perspective and the outrageous prices and red tape forcing people into situations like this. The worker who approached me was simply reacting to a broken system of overpriced and overcomplicated services.

Summary: Whether it’s their utility or residential division, this company’s values are nonexistent. They exploit property owners with overpriced services, create endless delays, and fail to take accountability for their actions. Do yourself a favor and steer clear.

We recently had three trees removed and one tree trimmed. From the very beginning with a visit from Seth to review our needs and estimate our costs, to the finish with the work completed by Andrew and Joe, our experience with Wright Outdoor Solutions was outstanding. We originally were going to remove two trees, but once we experienced the initial service visit and saw the reasonable pricing, we requested a change to add another tree removal and a tree trim. The change was made with no problems, misunderstandings, or pricing issues. To say the tree cutting team of Andrew and Joe were impressive is an understatement. We couldn’t be more pleased with their professionalism, diligence, attention to detail, demeanor, etc. The yard was raked with all debris removed cleanly, and the street was swept where the limbs were chipped and otherwise hauled away. The work was completed on time in spite of some unique challenges, and we are happy to recommend this company and specifically this crew for your outdoor tree related needs.
