​My​ ​mom passed away about six months​ ago, and I've been managing her home,​ getting it ready for sale. The air conditioner wasn't working, so I contacted the HVAC company I​ used before for a new thermostat and maintenance, which I had done a couple of years back.

I opened the account​ with this specific company, located in Arkansas City on Summit Ave, and was happy to use them again. ​When I called to schedule a maintenance appointment and mentioned that my mom had passed away, they told me they would need to​ open a new account​ under my name, which would cost $80 just to create the new account. That really surprised me because I was the one who initially opened the account​ and paid the bill.

I​ decided to go with Ar​K City Service instead. They're a local HVAC specialist. When I called to set up an appointment, they were friendly. The technicians arrived​ on time, were friendly, identified the issue, and didn't try to​upsell unnecessary services. I really appreciated their straightforward approach.

DO NOT CALL JOHN!!!! John put a residential unit in my mobile home. The motor burned out in less than 4 years. Warrenty would cover the motor but now I have to pay another tech to come out and fix it!!!!! Don't waste your money with the "lowest bid". Save yourself the stress and find a reliable company!!!!!

We installed the rigid ducts and returns with Johns recommendations 27 Nov 2020. On 2 Dec 2020, his employees showed up to install the furnace, which they did. John said he couldn't connect the AC compressor until after it was 70 degrees. 18 May 2021, I started texting John to come over to finish setting up the AC. On 2 Jun 2021, after 15 text messages and excuses from John, I gave up trying to get him to finish the job. We called Finney AC, they came out in 3 days and finish connecting the AC unit and energized it. We called John's HVAC office manager about the thermostat and she gave us the distributor phone number and the American Standard District Manager came out to finish the thermostat connection under customer support. Both Finney and the district manager were great!

John and his staff have done work for me over the last 11 years and have always gone above and beyond to make sure the job is done right and to make sure that it is very affordable for me. I will be a customer for life!
