It's a fantastic place to buy plants and flowers! The staff was knowledgeable and very willing to help. I didn't give it the full 5 stars because the lines to check out were SO long and took so much time to get through. That was the only drawback.
***(I have not been there during the week. However, I heard that it isn't as busy during then.)

Jessica T.'s service was excellent! She helped us find the right deciduous/evergreen trees, while also taking the time to explain everything about the trees and their unique characteristics. We bought 7 trees, really great experience, and we will definitely come back.

We placed a web site order that said our order would be complete after we were contacted for payment and scheduling, within 24 hours. We kept our phone with us constantly. the next day we called to ensure our order was going to get scheduled as we had scheduled help and bought plants for the weekend, but needed to ensure delivery.
The person on the phone said she knew nothing about our order but would be glad to take the order over the phone. So we went through the process of relaying what we had ordered.
She said she would check with the boss and call us back. Why?
Why couldn't our order be paid and scheduled right then?
we were frustrated but said okay. No one ever called back. After we got off work it was too late and knew we would not get an order by the weekend.
So we sit here with no help and plants wilting on our front porch. We will not try to order again from this place.

Sandy from this location reached out to me. Her customer service skills are top-notch. Obviously they care what their customer’s think and they care about the products they sell. Indoor palms have two-spotted spider mites - there are also no refunds or returns for their tropical plants. That was a $200 lesson for not looking closely enough at my purchase before checking out. I won’t buy any more indoor plants from them - and wouldn’t recommend anyone else to either - but I do like their other indoor/outdoor decor and gardening items. Employees are friendly and it’s definitely a fun place to check out.

Kellea helped us change an order from delivery to planting and it took awhile (not her fault) and there were several associates also involved. Kellea was so patient and thorough with us and all the different faucets of this complicated transaction. She made sure we understood everything with amazing grace and kindness. It is not often you actually come across a truly caring person in customer service any more these days. Thank you Kellea for your wonderful help!!

Recently moved to this area and every time I step foot in this location everyone is helpful and knowledgeable. Kudos to Sandy especially since she has helped me pick out perfect house plants that look oh so beautiful. Selections are abound in all areas. We’ve bought many other products and have been completely satisfied. My realtor warned me that I would get addicted to Suburban and she was right!

I have been to five different stores to look at outdoor pots and plants. Today was my first visit to Suburban off hwy 7 and prairie star. Their selection was amazing and I felt like I had my very own personal shopper helping me as i made my selections. In today’s world it is surprising even seeing an employee let alone helping me select the best plant to fit in my new outdoor area. A shout out to Kaden that went above and beyond my expectations. Thank you. .

This place used to be a small, intimate shop. It is a huge, corporate mess now. It's a half and half on service. Some of the staff are prompt in any assistance and knowledgeable of the products and the other half are dismissive and really don't seem to care about the products. I don't know about the plants, but the prices on mulch and landscaping rock are fair and the quality is good. In future years, I might have to make my purchases online and just pick up instead of dealing with the madhouse this place has turned into.

Love it here! The staff is always incredible and helpful at all times! Customer service is top of the line! Huge variety of flowers, bushes, plants, and trees all at a reasonable price. I could easily spend hours here! My favorite outdoor shop to shop at :)🌺

I have not had a single issue with this location. The ladies who typically check me out are pleasurable.

update 7/4/19 This is still my favorite Suburban Location. Millie, at the contractors desk is awesome. She is on top of things and makes the process extremely efficient. Which is important when you have a wide variety of plants to purchase. Customer service is top notch overall and so are the products.

We bought rocks, lots of rocks. Great price and even better selection.

Super friendly staff and an amazing selection!! The parking lot was nearly full but the registers moved along pretty quickly compared to a box store.
Shop local, be local. I will tell everyone about this location!!

The store was clean, employees RUNNING to help people, and even helped me load my HUGE cart and took the cart back. What service!!!

Great selection and the plants I've gotten here have held up very well in the yard, garden, and house. Prices are very competitive - a bit more than you can find in family nurseries but much less than some other garden centers.
Lot's of fun and very pleasant to just browse the selection whether you're looking for something specific or just browsing.
Wow! Such an upgrade from a few years ago when there were a collection of greenhouses with a dirt and rock parking area - and a warehouse for checkout and some lawn gear. I'm very impressed.

Great employees that are knowledgeable and always a happy smile on their faces! Highly recommend for plant and flower lovers alike.

Haven't been since the fantastic remake a few years ago. We have an established landscape little need. Today got replacements for shrubs that had run their course. Highly recommend.

If you want bulk mulch do yourself a favor and make the trip colonial gardens in Blue Springs Mo. They give you twice as much for the same price and it's much prettier.

Suburban Lawn &Garden has always had everything I was looking for! Its also fun to look around in!

SO many varieties! Very hopeful staff, fun golf carts. Plan to spend some time and have a bag of popcorn.

Fast and easy purchase of mulch! I bought 17 yards and the driver put it right where I wanted it! I could have used a bigger tarp! Highly recommended!

I want to send a huge shout out to the Manager & staff from last night (Monday, June 23rd) who stuck around for me to get there to pick up my plant. I was trying desperately to get there before closing at 6 p.m. and got stuck in traffic just a few miles from the store. I called in a panic as I had driven in from Topeka and hated to waste the time and gas money driving there to come home empty handed. One of the employees met me at the door with my plant in hand and saved the day. I didn't catch her name as she left before I could get it....so I wanted to leave a note here to express my appreciation and gratitude. Again, many thanks.
