Davey Tree is legit, they don’t mess around! James, and his guys Cade and another wasted no time rescuing a scary situation. They happen to be working next-door to a friends home in Crestwood, one neighborhood over from us. Without warning a massive limb which is the size of a tree itself from our neighbors 100+ year old oak tree came crashing to the ground, apparently a victim of “sudden limb drop “. When James and the guys got here, he said it easily could weigh 10,000 pounds. It covered both our neighbor’s and our lot, blocking our driveway. Somehow no one hurt or homes damaged but after the friends job, they left and came to our rescue, like within an hour of calling. Of course you can’t expect that kind of turn around all the time but they hustled up and saved the day. Tree heroes 😍!

The team at Davey Tree EXPERT Company Olathe are amazing! I’ve had them do several projects on our property. No matter the weather or the project they always go above and beyond. Their knowledge of their craft makes them a great resource to ask any question about trees, shrubs, etc. and you can know without a doubt the job will be done with care and excellence. I would highly recommend them for any tree or planting project you might have. They truly are the very best!

Just had a large storm night before last, knocked down massive sycamore trees, power lines, etc. These guys cleaned up my neighbors yard, my back yard and even went around to my front yard to collect more that was unrelated to the damage they were hired to pick up. Really appreciate how quick they got to work, how well they did cleaning up, even with the smaller limbs, and went above and beyond grabbing the extras around the property. Thanks guys!

I have used Davey Tree several years now. They are great! Cade and Shane showed up on time this morning and took care of a couple of trees for me. One being huge and difficult location. The other requiring their new bucket use. Very professional, polite and friendly. They each took time to explain the future needs of those two trees. Clean up superb. Thanks!

Would highly recommend Davey Tree for all tree services. Shane did a fantastic job in removing the tree stump and cleaning/ preparing the area afterwards. Davey Tree had originally removed the tree as well. Great job and will call again when needed.

I have used Davey three times at two different houses. They are very knowledgeable and are very competitively priced, often lower than other local companies. The work is excellent and they leave the property cleaned up and in great shape. Most recently Joshua and Shane trimmed up trees at a new house where the trees had been neglected over the past few years. Another great job and will use them again if I need more work done

Ben came out and gave me an estimate for some needed trimming which required coordinating with Evergy to drop the line to my house. The timing by both companies for the work was exactly as expected. Shane, Chase and Cade were all friendly and professional, getting the trimming work and subsequent cleanup done well and quickly. I will certainly use Davey Tree Expert Company again for any tree work needed.

We were hammered in Clayton with these tornado that touched down last week. Davey had additional workers in from out of town, and we were so lucky to have had Shane & Chris out! They were so friendly and empathetic in our community’s time of need, professional, and worked their butts off! They made everything as streamlined as possible, easy, and least intrusive, as possible!

I've had Davey do work at my house and at my neighbor's house. In both instances the crews were professional, courteous, and immensely conscientious. Without doubt, the best experiences involving tree services I've ever had. You owe it to yourself to call Davey if you need any work done on your trees.

my grandma lives in clayton and her home was unfortunately in the path of the storms that rolled a few weeks ago and with that came with one of the cities tress falling across my grannys driveway and we had no idea how we were going to get it moved. fast forward to last wednesday (5/21/25) i had came into town to help to the best of my ability to clean up and that was when i met 2 gentlemen from olathe, kansas.. shane and chris. these two went above and beyond "just doing clean up work" the knowledge, patience and respect they give is truly almost unheard of these days. they were able to make us laugh during such a scary moment! i will over and over again recommend them! so thankful for the opportunity to meet them.

Had the pleasure of meeting the two nicest guys, Shane & Chase. They were so great to us and did a great job cleaning up the mess of a branch that hit our house and put a few holes in it. They were very quick, professional and again the nicest guys. Thank you for sending this great team to help us in a very stressful situation.

Let me start by saying we are not having a great 24 hours. Tree crashes through the roof, smashed our deck and gate, and in general left an incredible mess. Then we had to put our cat to sleep and had the vet come to the house and do it in the front yard. I doubt most tree crews would be that empathetic, and I’d even understand that—it’s crazy hot, they have a hard job to do. But they paused all noise while the vet was here. Talk about above and beyond! And they did a fantastic, quick job of disposing of the tree, as well as another dangerous limb, just a day after it crashed into our lives. Shane and Chase with Davey are the best, can’t recommend them enough.

4 gentlemen came at 730 in the morning the first time. Constantly working and doing what they were supposed to!
Then they came back a second time, took the whole tree down as I asked them to do!
They even cleaned up the debris that was in the yard
Very efficient and hard working crew!

I will refer them to my friends and I definitely will use them myself again!!!

This crew was fantastic. They were in the neighborhood doing some work and I asked for a bid. Sales guy came quickly and gave me a very fair price. Work began immediately after finishing the previous job. They thoroughly cleaned up all the debris. Highly recommend Davey.

Ben was great to work with. He came out to assess a few of our trees that we had concerns about and was prompt, knowledgeable, and personable. We had to remove one of our trees and the crew that came out knocked it out without any issues. Shane and Cade then came to remove the stump and also were friendly, communicated with us well, and did a great job. Not the first time we’ve used Davey and won’t be the last! We’ve had nothing but good experiences.

This company has been exceptional. They removed my broken tree within 24 hours and worked hard to clean the yard back up and restore it to its natural state. I just had to call them back because the power company needs another branch cut before they will restore my power. Anthony is amazing and is going to come back out again today despite being here only 24 hours ago and also on a Sunday.

We are very satisfied with the work performed by Davey’s. The Davey’s trio that handled our 2 separate sites were Shane, Cade, and Chase. They were;
1. On time - so many contractors set a time, and then 2 hours later you’re still waiting for them to show up.
2. Knowledgeable – they were able to take out overhanging branches to get them back from our roof and driveway, while having to climb very high up in our River birch trees (which extend well above our roof)
3. Efficient – they had 2 men climbing trees and removing limbs one in the front and one in the back yard, while the third collected and ground up tree limbs and cleared the residual leaves from the yard. This required a large truck for hauling the ground materials and a large grinder, along with the necessary climbing and cutting gear in a second truck.
4. Client focused - While they had spoken to Byron our initial contact about the details of the job, they still discussed specifics request before beginning major work and made sure we were satisfied with the finished job, before climbing out of the trees and packing up.

A trusted neighbor told me about The Davey Tree Expert Company. Ben, the Davey arborist, reviewed all my trees and addressed a specific concern of mine about the safety of several large birch trees. He explained what needed to be done, answered my questions, sent a proposal, and we settled on the work. On the scheduled day, Shane and Cade, two Davey leaders of the work crew, arrived on time fully prepared to work. Shane and I reviewed the scope of the project and he made sure I understood why the work was needed, what would be done, and what to expect when completed. Shane got my permission and my neighbor's permission to move their trucks onto our driveways. I appreciated him taking extra steps to safeguard our properties. I watched the crew setup and perform the work, always with a regard for their own safety and the potential for damage to trees and property. They worked efficiently as a team. They removed all clipped branches and cleaned the area thoroughly. When finished, Shane explained what they did, any issues they encountered (there was none), and things I would need to do in the future to ensure continued benefits. Shane and Cade were professional, knowledgeable, and personable representatives from The Davey Company. I enjoyed working with them and would use The Davey Company again on other projects.

Ran into Shane and Chris in the parking lot at the Center of Clayton and pointed out a robin tangled in a tree branch and hanging upside down. They quickly jumped into action to save the bird. Really appreciate them going above and beyond the call of duty! And really appreciate them being in St Louis this week to help with our storm recovery after the tornado. Thanks guys!
