Epic installed the sprinkler system at our house. When we called to offer to pay them to come mark their sprinkler lines so we could have a fence installed, they outright refused to perform the service. Predictably, the fence installer came, broke the sprinkler line, and told us Epic had installed the line directly along the boundary instead of inside the boundary as it should have. Still waiting to see if Epic replies to my request for information about getting the line fixed, but I'm not holding my breath. 0 out of 5

I would NOT recommend Epic to anyone. Their name should be Epic Failure Landscape Productions. This is my very first review I have ever written. I've never written a review because I believe (most times) reviews are only for people who like to complain and a person reading doesn't always get the full context of the situation about comments written. I feel so strongly, I'm willing to make the effort here. I have been so dissatisfied with their service that I am taking time to warn others to avoid this company.
I am a board member of our homeowners association. The contract we have with them was signed before I came onto the board.
They give great lip service, but do not follow through on their commitments. On several occasions, we have had them come to the property for a site inspection and asked for specific items to be resolved. They agree, then invoice us and do not do all of the work quoted. On two occasions we have gone back to invoices and compared the services we paid for to learn that they did not do them. I think they didn't think we would follow up to check on their work and would get by with charging us for services not rendered. I don't consider them honest or trustworthy. In fact, I feel like they stole our money (a lot of money) by not doing what was asked and then keep our funds.
Buyer beware!

I have not used there survices and never will, multiple times I have had there trucks speed up to 15 over in school zones marked with flashing light and its to the point we're I let the cops know when they do. I have no respect for poeple who can't respect child safty.

If you enjoy companies that don't respond to you, this is the one for you. This company was used by our builder unfortunately. Took weeks, contacting the builder and the owner of the building company getting involved to get epic to respond.

We have been customers since 2008. This is the first time we have had problems. Getting the company to respond has been impossible. Came to start up our sprinkler system on 4/16/24. Rep could not find zone 1, said there was an issue on another. I asked him to confirm two areas in yard were covered. Left saying he would have to have his supervisor call because he could not figure out zone 1 and he thought zone 6 had problem. We have called office 6-7 times - no response, no returned phone calls. Unfortunately I paid upfront for this year’s service. We don’t know what has changed but this company went from fabulous to horrific!!!

5/6/24 - continued to call and finally reached Sandra! Explained our situation to Sandra and she made things happen immediately. System was fixed on 5/6/24. Jason was very professional.

We had a GREAT experience on our first project with Epic earlier this summer & already have another in the works. Kelsey & Kendall provided excellent advance communication & dependable follow-thru! They even went above & beyond & turned our ugly Magnolia shrub into a lovely tree. Highly recommend!

They plowed only the main road through our apartment complex, neglecting the side roads leading to the rest of the buildings, even now, more than 24 hours after it stopped snowing. We can't keep calling out from work due to the incompetence of the company that is responsible for ensuring our driveways are traversable!

Wouldn’t go near this company! They are in charge of our properties snow plow removal and took out the entire back side of my car with their blow and just left. When confronted denied ever being on property at the time of the accident even though others residents also saw them on site. It’s not right to have to pay for all these damages to a car that was parked in my driveway.

I wanted to acknowledge the service I received from Epic, specifically Kendall G. He was responsive to all my questions, went out of his way to help me with my sprinkler system. If more people were like Kendall, the negative thoughts on customer service would diminish. If he is overseeing your project, know it will get done right and he will provide the utmost respect and top-notch service.

EPIC cracked the PVC TEE below the vacuum breaker in the above ground piping for our sprinkler system while blowing out the zones. They got too rough connecting a threaded steel pipe for the compressor. And just left it! Did not properly blow out the system so that two sprinkler heads in the higher elevation front lawn had water that froze and cracked both. Had to dig up and replace them. NEVER use this company, they are unethical.

I am a contractor in Lawrence Kansas. I own a power washing business. Today I had a run in with Mike from epic. Talk about an unprofessional jerk. He started talking to me like I was an employee of the property we were on, he wouldn’t let me explain who I even was, and then he ridiculed me about how I should know how to shut off some sprinklers. That’s not even my job. I own a power washing company. I power wash windows and walls and anything that needs cleaned. If he would’ve taken time to actually listen to me and not had a bad attitude, he might’ve known that. Someone should tell Mike that his attitude makes him look like a punk. There’s nothing intimidating about him and he has terrible tattoos. You guys should probably hire someone with a better attitude, cause I can’t see how this guy is going to last very long when he encountered the wrong person.

We live in Enclave apartment complex and this is how Epic taking care of our yards! First they let it grow in to a jungle and then mowed and leave this wet grass all over the yards! So as a result the good green grass is dead. This company don't value they're customers and absolutely unprofessional. It's totally "Epic" name for a disaster.

We have an almost new house and Epic is the service provider. Some of the sprinkler heads needed adjustment so as to not water the side of the house. The technician showed up on time and did a good job.

EPIC services my apartment complex in Leawood. Having my car sprayed with grass and having rocks piled up next to it is a regular occurrence. Pics of my car are the morning after getting it back from detailing.

Extremely professional, Very clean. The lawn is always cut perfectly into diamonds on the ground pure green gold, always using stihl tools, only the best for the best. They arrive on trucks with the name of the company and the number on the trucks, the employees all have the name of the company on their shirts and hats, they pick up trash and leftover leaves from trimming, they arrive on site and finish jobs in a orderly and timely manner, very polite and more often than not working diligently. Very organized and very professional and offer said services at reasonable price. Over all, a good company and great people.

We had Epic landscape do the landscape for our new house in July of 2017. We worked with Kendall and I had several call and emails that were never returned. We have a dwarf lilac tree that was put in that is now dead. I tried to reach out to Kendall and was blown off. As usual with him. I call Epic and also left a message and it was never turned. I sent a email to the website and received a call back finally. They sent a girl out to take pictures of the tree. EPIC has now sent me and email saying that tree is not under warranty any longer. It hasn't even been two years. Every other landscaper warrants for two years. They offer to replace it for $400 that is an outrageous price. I would not recommend them they do not stand behind the plants/trees. The communication with the customer is honorable!

Hands down the worst landscaping company in Kansas City. Incompetent staff that doesn’t have the brains to turn off the conveyor to their spreader when they’re doing snow work in an apartment complex when cars are driving past them. Thanks for the small dents, I hope Price Bros. drops your contract.

We have used Epic for the past 3 years, had them install a new sprinkler system, then had them complete landscape -1st around back yard patio and just this past week they completely re-landscaped front yard. Outstanding work, started with Ben- senior designer. He was great to work with- between coming out to the house- drawings-responding to my many emails- following up-updating us on installation dates/times. Can't speak highly enough. The crew that came out were polite- hard working- i was so impressed they cleaned up all the mud/dirt. Everything turned out beyond our expectations! Highly recommend this company! Big reason we keep going back to any yard/sprinkler needs is the fact they stand behind their work- do a great job- and we are happy with prices we paid.

We are renters and Epic handles the landscaping for our apartment complex. We have tried speaking with our management and asked them to speak with Epic about the muddy mess they continuously have left behind for over a year now. Nothing has been done or changed. I am all for giving a company and the workers the benefit of the doubt, however the fact that this has continued for over a year, maybe more is ridiculous. I don’t know if Epic just doesn’t care because it’s ‘just an apartment’ and we are just renters, but real people live here, real people have to walk through this. I guarantee they wouldn’t create ruts this big in their own personal lawns. Come on guys... you can do better.

Working with EPIC was a great experience! Met with Carson about what we wanted to have done. Didn't know too much about specific plants but their suggestions and recommendations look fantastic. You can tell they take pride in making everything look perfect and they are very competitively priced. EPIC also has followed up multiple times to ensure we didn't have any further questions, and to make sure the plants are looking healthy. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get landscaping done!

I truthfully wish I could give them 0 stars. It’s almost laughable how horrible the customer service is at this business. I reached out asking for a quote and they got that back very quickly. (Of course, it was making them money). I quickly confirmed and asked about when they would be out to complete the services. Kendall never got back to me. I had to follow up with him multiple times to get an answer. I had also asked about how the process worked (ie: would I need to be home, when do I pay, etc). No reply. I was the one having to reach out and follow up every single time. At last the day finally came for them to do work at my home. The grass was poorly put back and would eventually die even with our consistent watering. The drains are not level with the ground and the stickers on the tubing was left on. Just lazy. I would never recommend their services. I emailed them letting them know of my experience and got no follow up or apology for such horrible service. Save your money and go somewhere else.
