So disappointed in my shopping trip there today
Two employees were so rude to me. The new system is fine, but maybe you all should try to explain it better. Before checking out and during. Wow!I still can't believe how rude my elderly mother was treated and dirt grabbed out of my hand. I won't be back.

first off— ive been coming here quite often the past couple years & i absolutely LOVE this place. it makes a difference when the workers actually care about the plants & know their stuff! i always appreciate them (especially when im wondering around for 2 hours, i promise im normal i just cant make up my mind) and they always ask if i need help! this one day in particular (today) a younger girl asked if i needed help & at first i said no, then i eventually saw her again & was like “lol im a liar i need help finding the lucky bamboo”. she was SO kind and she went to where they thought they were (bc it is technically a dracaena) and she apologized & said this was her first week & she called for help. we found them 10 seconds later & she was so happy! i just wanted to give her a shout out. i didnt remember to look/ask for her name but shes doing an amazing, especially for her first week there. i try to leave reviews for employees because im a nurse, & recognition goes a long way in my work world & its always nice! so to that girl: youre killin it! keep doing what youre doing & keep smiling while doing it! i appreciate you (& of course everyone at family tree)!

Really cool garden store, I could have spent hours here just looking around. I got a bonsai tree I named stumpy who has been doing great for a couple months now!

Great selection, but pricey. Just be prepared to spend some cash. Nice herb & vegetable selection. Wish there was just an area setup for butterfly & pollinators flowers.

Best selection of trees and shrubs around. A huge variety of conifers (which are my favs). Free brochures for several types of plants that are a wealth of knowledge. Free flash cards for basic house plants with instruction how to care for them (also free). Friendly and courteous staff. This is an amazing company that I highly recommend.

Absolutely love this place. Everyone is so friendly and always helps answer any questions we have. The 5-color mum we got this fall has been beautiful and we will definitely be picking up another one or two of these next year!

We've been fans of Family Tree Nursery for a very long time, but this Christmas Season, we became STELLAR FANS! Picture this: an immense array of uniquely gorgeous Christmas ornaments, invaluable staff members like Lexi (pictured) and Heidi, and the opportunity to share some of that seasonal beauty in our home. The translucent globes were the perfect fit for the kitchen cabinet display shelves.

Wow what a beautiful place! It was our first time coming here. We came for the free event that was on today and were not disappointed. This store is beautiful, inside and out... Everyone here was welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was peaceful and pleasant and the scent and sight of all the flowers was heavenly. I would love to come back here and buy some things for our garden. I think it is a great gift store also, there's something here for everyone. Just look how beautiful it is here from the photos...

The employees are awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Great selection of plants, home decor, and yard solutions.

Gardeners are freindly and there's a good selection of seeds. But as a heads up about 97-99.9% of their live plant inventory seems to be for ornamentals.

So with the exception of a few kale and herb plants in the spring to summer there's practicaly nothing in terms of edibles. If you come here with dreams of starting a permaculture garden, look elsewhere.

That being said they have every other thing you think you might need for a garden. From pond supplies, pest control, bulk seeds, organic fertilizers, statuary, even supplies for a garden railway.

Amazing staff, great selection of plants and other garden necessities, and very clear signs so you know where your item is!

4 employees. One customer. We walk in, nobody said anything for about 5 minutes until the one employee helping the one customer helped us. Why bother having the other 3? They clearly saw us walk in and were too busy chatting with each other to even say "hi". The one employee however, was helpful.

I shopped at Suburban for probably over a decade, and the plant quality has been typically good. They are one of the most expensive nurseries around though, and our last purchase has been not a very good one.

We bought a 3" maple and a 3" linden tree, and had them plant it. Both trees have done very poorly, and I even called for a warranty on the linden tree as it was losing leaves and not settling in, even towards the end of the warranty period. This was a $450 purchase for the Linden tree, so I wasn't about to call it a wash. One of Suburban's tree guys came out, said the mulch was a little high, and pulled back about 1-2" mulch from the base of the tree. The tree continued to suffer, despite my watering and fertilizing. Now half the tree is dead. I called Suburban, and they said it was out of warranty. I argued that when it was under warranty, you more or less denied my claim and the tree is dying in spite of you "expertly" pulling back the mulch. They then forwarded me to the owner, Matt, who is extremely difficult to get into.

I had to call him 3-4 times before he called me back. He seemed amenable to replacing the tree with a 2" tree, and said he would send me a picture to make sure that was ok. Seemed ok, until he never sent the picture, and then now I haven't been able to get him to return my calls for the last two months.

I suppose the moral of the story is, if you have something you need warrantied, push for it. Disappointed at the outcome here, and I will be taking my money elsewhere.

Great selection and awesome place to window shop but prices are very high. Perhaps use it as a place to get plants you.cant get elsewhere? Tree selection best around. Staff is very friendly and knowledgable.

Our mulch delivery had a mixup, I contacted Suburban through Google and one of the owners Matt got back with me. He took care of everything and made it right. Have had great service from them in the past and once again fantastic company to work with. Thanks Matt
