I’ve had Lawn Starter for two years now. First year, wonderful,2nd year my yard looks terrible. They mowed the day after an overnight storm, instead of picking up small branches, they mowed big squares around them. They drove over my landscape timbers, pulling them out of the ground and leaving them.
I asked for a different crew two and a half weeks ago and have been shown that they really don’t care. I canceled their service this morning, and feel a wave of relief due to it.
You hire contractors because they are professionals in their field, not because you want your yard to look terrible! I would not recommend this company!!! EVER!

They do not honor the 1 year guarantee. 2 stars because one tree lived.

I bought two Shumard oaks, called/emailed with concerns about the trees (within the one year policy). They came out and said nothing was wrong even though both trees leaves had wilting leaves. They said everything was normal.

I was still concerned and hired a local company to try and rehabilitate the trees. The company did great but one tree still died due to it being to far gone from it being distressed.

Tree Top Nursery & Landscape was a very beautiful place to shop!!! Although a little high priced for me. That's why it got 4 stars from me.

0 STARS. I spent ~$6,000 on a landscaping plan. My trees got planted at the beginning of winter. I cared for them via their instruction. After 90% of my evergreens and bushes died, I contacted them and it took 8 months for them to finally come out and replace the trees. They chose to plant them again in winter (December 1st). I shared my fear about them not acclimating to my soil, and they said they would be fine. They started showing signs of death starting in February. I contacted them and they said “we normally only replace the first set of trees”. $6,000, 6 bushes & 14 trees wasted.

We bought an Autumn Maple tree in 2020, which unfortunately didn’t make it. It was replaced in late 2021. This April we realized the new tree was in the same boat, and we were told that it was likely due to the harsh conditions last year. Even though they were in no way liable to replace the tree, they went ahead and replaced it with a tree that is more suitable for the soil in our yard. Thank you to Eric and his team for making us happy customers.

We ventured out into the storm yesterday and decided to stop at TreeTop to look for a ponytail palm that I haven’t been able to find in quite awhile! Tree Top just happened to receive a few on their truck and one spectacular employee offered to take me out via golf cart if I was willing to go get soaked. I’m adventurous.. so away we went. Thanks so much for your amazing customer service and having fun in the rain with me yesterday! Shout Out!!🪴❤️

Always a beautiful experience! Our inside plants needed a tune up and we brought them in to Tisha who re-planted them all for draining, cut and put some in water to root, added some cute holders, and labeled what each was and on the back, watering instructions! She's a gem and thankful she's there!!

We had a tree planted by Tree Top in September of last year. This spring, we got to see the tree recover from the shock of being planted here last year and fully fill out with leaves. I was concerned it wouldnt make it thru the winter, but following all of their directions, we have a beautiful little tree this year. Now, just to watch it get bigger! Couldn't be more happy with their planting, quality and overall service.

Love the variety and, more importantly, the quality of their trees and plants. The lilac and smoke tree I purchased two years ago are thriving.

Picked up our Christmas tree here this year. They delivered it right on time and we're super helpful. They even ne the trees, which is so fun!

Picked up my fire roasted hatch peppers I ordered. They were still so warm and smelled delicious. On the drive home I couldn't help thinking of all the wonderful meals these will used in. They are cooling off in the refrigerator to be prepared for freezing tonight. I will definitely get them again next year. And I need to shop here for my garden supplies next year.

Good prices. The greenhouse is super fun. Lots of color for indoor winter plants now.

My grandmother and I have been coming here around Christmas time every year. We love shopping from the beautiful trees they had set up with cute ornaments. They offer popcorn and hot cider while you shop. Wonderful plants and people! Can’t go wrong.

Wow, the price these folks charge for a Christmas tree is crazy. First we noticed that they’re spraying their trees with an unnecessary preservative that takes away the natural smell. Then we noticed the prices and decided there were many better options in the area. Found a comparable tree to their $135 variety for less than a quarter of their price…and it smells like a Christmas tree instead of chemicals.

I've only had great experiences here! Every staff member is knowledgeable, or willing to go get me the 'expert.' I never feel like I'm being over-sold (or under sold). Example: I am needing to do some work on my lawn. I asked for a good/better/best route. The associate gave me exactly that. I told her what my limitations were on with time and how much effort I would be willing to put in this fall and she gave me great options. We even backed off one product (it was something to control Bermuda grass). We have a plan for next spring, but I can happily say my fescue lawn is looking good and my new seeds are filling in less dense spots great!

Have been here quite a few times and had no issues and it was a great experience. But went here yesterday, and oh my god their staff were incredibly rude!! Very passive about me and my family being there about 30 minutes before closing. Made us feel very unwelcomed and rushed, yet didn't want to check us out when we were ready. I liked this location because of the proximity, but I don't recommend them over the East side location on 37th and Woodlawn.

We purchased a couple of Apple trees and a lot of flowers this spring. Everything is taking off well.

I will never trust the word of Johnson's again. I bought three treed a fee weeks ago
The lady that helped me outside with picking the right trees was wonderful. The cashier that took my money was kinda rude but she got my money.
Well it went down hill from there, she told me the 811 te would be out to mark the yard by weeks end and as soon as that got done, it would be one to no longer than two and my new trees would be planted. I said great that would give me the time to schedule the sod guys when the sod could be layed.
I'm still waiting, I will never buy anything from Johnson's again.
What happen to what you tell the customer is the truth.

The father and son should be ashamed of how your employees conduct business. Its not putting you in very good light..

I have bought my Christmas trees there and many many other items, including two chimineas, I was very disappointed that when I told the gentleman at the cash register that I had bought an outside solar light that was defective but didn't have my receipt , and he couldn't look it up because the new hirere didn't put my number in so I could get points even though I gave her the info, so no receipt of my $90+ purchase. And no offer to replace my defective light. I support local and this local business Johnson's but they just slipped a bit in my book as far as appreciating their regular customers. Pretty cheap of them.
