Very friendly phone call, however they charge to give you an estimate. The other three competitors in the area do not. I will never know if their work is quality or not. Sorry.

They charged $1438.50 to repair mortar and did a terrible job. The mortar does not match and it’s all over the brick, looks awful. I would not recommend them.

I thought Ed and his team were very professional in installing our wood insert. I would highly recommend their services. We are really enjoying our stove. :-)

Just left our home for 2 chimney inspections and cleanings. On time, very professional, knowledgeable. Left the areas spotless after the cleaning. Great job, will be using again.

Sootshaker (Ashland, KY) was responsive, friendly, professional, and detail oriented. The quote we received was fair and reasonable. The work was completed in several hours and on the date scheduled. The Sootshaker representatives (Charles and Paul) were experienced professionals that took the time necessary to explain all aspects of their work, concerns to be addressed, and how to resolve said issues. I could not be more pleased with Sootshaker and recommend anyone with chimney or fireplace concerns to give them a call; you won't be disappointed.

They charged $140 for 10 minutes of cleaning. I still had some gunk at the bottom of the flue. I emailed them back with my concerns and pictures of the gunk and they never even bothered to email back. I would suggest getting a chimney cleaning brush off of Amazon like I did and clean it yourself. Apparently it only take 10 minutes. It’s super cheap and easy and it’ll save you $140 and the kit is reusable. They didn’t put covers on their muddy boots or vacuum cleaner wheels either and tracked mud on my new carpet.

The young man came out to clean my chimney was very knowledgeable and through! No mess left and I learned a lot from him about using my buck stove for the most efficient burn. Wonderful experience and the price was very fair too!

Throughout the years, we have used many contractors. However, it is rare to find “true professionals”. This company came to fix and clean an existing fireplace; as well as, they returned a second time to install and stone a new fireplace.

They left as though they were never there. Their cleanup was spotless as well. We will definitely use their services again.

Called to inspect and clean a chimney, arrived on time with very thorough inspection (pictures included). He even educated me on how to use my wood stove, which I appreciated. He also applied two chimney caps at a extremely good and reasonable price. Brandon definitely went above and beyond in my opinion. Would highly recommend and will certainly be using for any chimney work/cleaning I may need in the future. They also convert a wood burning to gas, so I may be looking into that in the future. Give them a call!
