Constraction reviews in Covington, Kentucky

Chris converted our first floor closet into a half bath and re-shingled our roof. He walked us through the whole process - from a clear and quick initial quote, to shopping with us at Home Depot, to finishing both jobs quickly. Available by text, email and phone. We'll hire Hollon Construction again.

Chris and the guys were a pleasure to work with on our home remodel. The end result has been spectacular and we are very grateful for all of the hard work and thoughtfulness put into the project! I highly recommend giving Chris a call if you are looking to upgrade your home!

We have used Chris Hollon Construction for four plus jobs for our home. They are the gold standard in quality, professionalism and value. They were a pleasure to deal with. Our projects were completed on time and exceeded our expectations. It’s clear they care about their clients and reputation. You won’t find a more trustworthy and capable company. They are an excellent run business. We highly recommend Chris Hollon Construction for any project big or small.

Excellent work on 2 bathroom remodels in our condo. Professional and understanding of the stresses that go along with making such big changes and decisions. Worked with us to stay on budget, showed up every day on time, friendly and flexible. Would highly recommend.

Secondary reply: Since the owner continually edits his responses to make them more appropriate to hide his real colors; I have attached some photos of their work. Which not all bad, but definitely off center and crooked in places. I am unsure how a company can fulfill a contract without it being approved by the county. So if you work with them apparently it is necessary to put in the contract “must be approved by the county”. Also, he berated us any time we had an issue so unsure why we would try to ask him to fix something when he already refused to. Why am did a check this again? Because I hope my review will save other people a huge headache.

Reply: I edited my review for a grammatical mistake and it resubmitted my review- I never meant for it to repost completely. The owner had never originally replied to my post (if he had it would still be attached to this review) and his reply to my post is very similar to our whole experience with this company. If a party is so interested, call the Boone County Building Department and ask them to pull up the permits from this company from 2021/2022. Our permit expired in the spring of 2022 and my husband and I had to ask for a continuation multiple times as we tried to figure it out with the help of the inspector who was very nice to deal with.

This company built our deck 2 years ago and it was not a pleasant experience. They got paid in full when they finished the deck. Unfortunately, the inspector wouldn’t approve the deck as the handrail wasn’t right and they refused to finish it to Boone County’s standards. We eventually finished it ourselves as they never came back.

Chris Hollon Construction did a fantastic job on my deck and gate. They came out the same day I contacted them, completed everything quickly, and the quality of their work was excellent. The team was professional, efficient, and the cost was very reasonable. I really appreciated their responsiveness and attention to detail. Highly recommend them if you need any construction or repair work done!

Chris Hollon was a pure pleasure to work with on the remodel of our bathroom. From quoting to scheduling to completing the work on schedule and with in budget I could have not asked for a better experience. Also Chris stands 100% behind his work. For any future home project Chris Hollon will be the first company that we will consider.

Extremely pleased with Chris Hollon Construction. I was nervous outsourcing work for the first time in a house. I initially did the framing myself for a basement finishing and realized I was in over my head. Chris came out, pointed out some key pieces, and got me a rough estimate quote right away. We later met at his office and went through the final itemized total and really was a very reasonable price and time line.

All of the workers with Chris were punctual, polite, and did a phenomenal job. Everyone treated the job like it was their own home and the quality showed! Again, I was nervous trying to pick folks after my parents and friends have all had bad experiences of poor work or people taking the money and running. EVERY aspect of the interaction with Chris and his team made me feel comfortable with the process.

I would 100% use Chris Hollon again. Hopefully doing a deck this summer or next!

Chris Hollon Construction did an amazing job on our bathroom! They had great attention to detail and were super hard workers. Bert was the main guy installing and he was amazing and very professional. Todd and Chris worked behind the scene to get everything ordered and were great as well.

Signed a contract to build a reinforced concrete slab, was paid $11K. The slab he delivered was crooked, not the size agreed upon, and not reinforced. He never came back to fix it. No license or insurance, so nothing to recoup. Beware!!

Just have my steps redesigned and redone by this company (for sure not a big name you see on constant ads in your mail box or commercials on tv). Could not wish for a better execution, price and final result.
Team was so "discrete" and efficient 👍

Awesome job on repairs

They are the best, 5 stars from me

Prestige did an amazing job. Will use and refer them again and again.

I was in need of a new water heater asap! Jeff and his team were punctual and professional. Great experience would recommend to anyone!

Jeff found me a water heater in a quick and timely fashion and got it installed the very next day!? Would recommend to anyone looking for good quality work and dependability!?

Jeff and Dave did a terrific job on adding a laundry room to my lower level. I am probably a little on the picky side, and they did everything I asked and more with lots of care. Will use them again for future projects.

They worked with me on the price when our sewer line went bad, and worked around our schedule. They got the job done right, and quickly! Professional and personable. I will use them again.

Amazing crew! The guys worked hard all day and finished our project way earlier than anticipated. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a trustworthy, dedicated company!

Calvin and crew constructed our garage with excellence and professionalism. Calvin was responsive and knowledgeable, and helped us navigate all obstacles with kindness and patience. We're very happy with the experience and finished product!

Added a half bath from the ground up and it turned out beautifully! Thoughtful & tasteful suggestions with design elements and exactly what I was looking for.
