We recently contracted with Landscape Alternatives to install a new patio at our home on Georgetown. We chose them out of several companies because we were really impressed by their professional presentation, their thorough and knowledgeable inputs during the estimate process and their attention to the drainage and run off issues that needed to be considered in the design. No other contractor we spoke to provided input into that key area or provided the kind of guidance on approach and materials that we received from Landscape Alternatives .

Their work team were really first class professionals. Everything was meticulously surveyed, staked out and checked with us. We watched as they carefully graded the land, laid foundation, built drainage runs and then installed the top layer of pavers and applied the sand finish. They worked through late November and into December when they faced some unseasonably cold wet weather, forcing them to avoid working when conditions would have compromised a quality result. They were proactive and communicated those weather driven schedule changes very well. They also kept a very tidy and organized work area and laid boards for their heavy machinery to avoid damage to our lawn.

We are absolutely thrilled with the quality result. It has transformed our yard and we look forward to many years of use. We highly recommend Landscape Alternatives and have high regard for Martin and his team for their professionalism. I’ll be happy to speak to anyone about our positive experience.

They did a wonderful job on my parent's house! Cleaned up at the end of every day during the project. They truly transformed the side yard and made it accessible with easy maintenance.

Martin and his team provided me with excellent service. They installed 2 paver patios, tilled up a large bed for wildflowers, a smaller bed for a tree and bushes as well as planting the tree and bushes. Everything was very professionally done as well as clean up each day when they were through. The team was friendly and easy to work with. I can definitely recommend Landscape Alternatives and will use them again myself in the future.

I had a French drain installed in two downspouts due to waterlogging on the one side of my house, as well as a sidewalk installed with Hollandstone pavers going from my front porch all the way to the back porch. Riverstone with landscaping fabric was put along the foundation of the house along the backyard side, in between the house and new sidewalk and around the A/C area. Two bushes next to the A/C condenser were also trimmed. Martin and his crew were excellent to work with and communication was great. Very professional; Martin answered all my questions, pricing was reasonable, and the finished project looks fantastic. Highly recommend.

We had Landscape Alternatives put in a brick paver patio and walkway in our back yard. It turned out fantastic! Their rate was reasonable, they showed up on time, did what they said they would, and got done in a matter of days. The speed, professionalism, and reliability of their work was a delight. Our neighborhood association has used Martin's services for many years. He has done landscaping, snow plowing, and dirt delivery for us. Always very kind and considerate!

I cannot recommend this place to anyone. I paid local landscape company pick up “Standard Bred” compost. That company does not do business with this company. I wanted high quality horse stall compost for a new seeding of my lawn. I purchased the best quality seed available and wanted the nutrients of the horse compost to winter over new grass. Instead I got taken and was sold pine fines compost. The company picking it up said the area said “Standard Bred” compost having no previous business with them they correctly bought what was labeled. But it was not the correct product.

Let me preface this by saying I am a disabled line of duty veteran wheelchair bound. I can walk can’t spread compost and can’t do my own lawn care. I am on a fixed income so paying for lawn prep the compost and spreading took a long time to save up.

The pine compost was filled with rocks and the recent rains uncovered many more. This place offered have the money reluctantly with excuses of a fall wall maybe contaminated maybe miscommunications. They offered half on my money back but it was half of “Standard Bred” compost not pine fines.

I can’t afford to have this issue resolved now so I’m stuck because of this places errors

I have dozens of photos of rocks some 4 inches long and many more still in the pine compost that was supposed to be horse compost. Anyone who doubts this review please contact me! You can come see for yourself. I saved them all even my neighbors help pick up rocks

The owner should have come in person to see the situation. If a business fails to meet the expectations of “ you get what pay for” it is one to avoid.

For this owner to call me disingenuous after he sold the wrong product made excuses refunded half the money is ridiculous! If ANYONE wants to see my yard and the forest compost and see the rocks please contact me! I have nothing to hide!

I had Landscape alternatives do a couple projects for me recently. They created a beautiful flower bed in front of my home from scratch and built a paver grill pad for me out back. They did an exceptional job on both for a fair price. Martin has a lot of experience and it shows. The teams were very professional carrying out the work. I would highly recommend Landscape alternatives for any landscaping needs.

We needed a project done relating to a pool we had installed in our backyard. We wanted a retaining wall surround as well as a stone path from our back patio. I am so glad we found Landscape Alternatives. They really did a fantastic job, could not be happier. You can tell they really care about their work.
