HVAC reviews in Sebree, Kentucky

Absolute worst experience with this company and Josh the “service manager”. First, in all of the other bad reviews they respond to customers that they do not work with warranty companies. That is false and a lie like everything else Josh has said because that’s how we were assigned their company, through American Home Shield warranty. Second, they no call no showed our first *two* appointments after having to stay home from work twice during their 11am-8pm window. Two days wasted. Then their technician Jeremy finally made it out (he was friendly and no complaints about Jeremy) and told us we needed a new unit. That any repair we would try wouldn’t work as we needed a new coil and due to new codes etc we could not replace our coil. Thats when the service manager Josh told the home warranty that all we needed was a “recharge” after the actual HVAC tech said that wouldn't work. They wanted to charge $800 for fluids to be added to leak right out just to come back and make more money when they know and told us that’s not going to work. Then Josh said they didn't even do a leak test at the time of our appt so we have to do costly line work incase the line is leaking not the coil. Again the tech said it was the coil as we were completely out of fluid and if it was needed then why was the leak check not done or mentioned at the initial appt we paid $125 for? He has done nothing but give us the runaround and his stories don’t match the technician from his own company or what my home warranty themselves told me he said. Lies and more lies (just like him replying here that he doesn’t work for home warranties when he clearly does). I would run as far away as you can from this company. What an extremely stressful and horrible experience being gaslit and left sitting at home waiting while they no call no show two times. We have been trying to have this resolved for several weeks now and its a disaster. For the record this company also goes by Floyds Heating and Air out of Sebree, KY with the same phone number. He told me he is banning me from service because I told him he was a con the way he’s doing things. That just does me a favor so I can get someone else my money who knows what they're doing and isn't dishonest.

-
Jacob, and clohe were very professional and kind. They did a great job
-
Colin did a great job fixing our refrigerator, and he worked tirelessly late into the Friday evening.
-
This company over charges in price and does not know anything about hvac. If you get a unit from him he actually does not register the warrant and says he will fix it. He’s prices are 50% more than actual hvac companies. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

A very nice and polite man name Kyle showed up and did a very good job gave me hope that I will heat soon it might only take week depending on when they get parts
-
I want to say the people that work for them are very nice and polite and they done such a good job for me I was so proud that they came out like they said they would and Josh he's one of the greatest so if you need any heating and air work done call Floyd Heating and Air Heating and Air
-
I had Floyd’s heating and air come out to my house to give me a estimate on my gas / air unit and I found out just in a few mins of talking they new what my problem was and suggested on how to fix the problem I have had with the old unit sense new ( 28 yrs) and no one I had ever look at it figured it out , Josh put me a new unit in and replaced all the bad duct work not to mention that was hooked up all wrong, they stayed late to make sure all was hooked up and running , couldn’t ask for a better bunch of guys ! I’ll highly recommend them to friends and family!!!!!
-
The job was done quickly and efficiently. They stayed till after dark to ensure the new air unit was installed and working rather than leaving us without heat overnight. Highly recommended.

It was horrible service, they lied to use and told us that they where coming in two trucks, turned out they where in two cars and nobody had any tools. They told my elder mother that her furnace was shot and couldn't be fixed and that she needed a new one. Priced her one for 5181.08. And then told her that she would be able to use her air with the new unite cone summer because it woukd match up with the new furnace. Had a someone else come in and they fixed it under 200. Floyd's tryed to pressure my mom in to buying a new one telling her all kinds of horror story to scare her. Ill never use them again. Or recommend them to anyone. They can take the 90 dollars and go away...people be careful always get a secound opinion with this guys...watch out!

They did an amazing job. They replaced my electrical box and installed a new heat/air unit. Price was reasonable and everyone was friendly. I’d refer them to anyone :)

Josh tells it to you straight and does not try to sell you what you don't need! He was also very patient as we made our decision. We are thrilled with our heat pump with the sky high gas prices. He has over 10 years of experience and wants to make sure the customer is pleased. We also wanted a special humidifier and he was willing to research what would work with our system, it makes our floors and occupants very happy.

Stated he does not work for Choice Home Warranty, 3 weeks ago approx they, Choice sent Floyd’s out and his guy looked at furnace, so he not only cheated us out of 85.00, never came back to fix furnace after 3 mos waiting!….he is lying on his Advertising now.

Edit! The called me and yelled at me!
They don't answer their phones. They told me one thing, and told my home warranty company another and now my home warranty company won't pay to have my dishwasher fixed. I tried calling at different times on different days and texting them, and they just don't answer.
Edit: after leaving this review they called me complaining that I left a nasty review. I did finally get the answer I was looking for. She then argued with me about how my review isn't honest. I've been calling looking for answers. They didn't answer. There's nothing dishonest about that. I called multiple times since last week. No response. And apparently that's my fault. That's just insane. She even tried to guilt trip me be saying, "ma'am do you realize we are a big company and everyone's heat is out right now, like the elderly?" I'm disabled and need my dishwasher to maintain my home. We all have problems. And if your company is so big, then you should be able to respond to voice mails in a timely fashion. I wasn't even rude to her! I asked my question. And then she gave me the answer and then she started on about my review! Who does that?!
Additional edit: my home warranty company said that floyds 100% said that I was at fault. They have it documented! Even though their tech said "it just happens sometimes". My home warranty company told me I should get a second opinion and told me how to submit that second opinion so they can take away the service fee from floyds and give it to a company who will at the very least be honest with me. I still can't believe this company called me a yelled at me. What was that going to solve. Like just take it on the chin like an adult. You're going to get bad reviews sometimes. Did they think they were going to yell at me and that would make me take down my original review? Seriously? They don't know how to run a business, their customer service is abysmal, and they are liars. I've never had a worse experience with a company before! -
This place is awful. We were scheduled an appointment with them through our home warranty. We were rescheduled 4 times (over 3 weeks) and they had never even came to our home. I called them multiple times and left multiples messages and no one from the company ever reformed my phone call. We have a baby at home and have had no heat for over 4 months and they couldn’t even call me back. They would email the warranty company to reschedule the appointment, they literally never made contact with us once. Definitely do not use this company.

Floyd heating and air conditioning, in Seabury Kentucky does work for choice home warranties. They sent a man out. He collected his money and our furnace has to date not been fixed by Floyd’s heating and air conditioning. He got his 85.00 though. We had waited since Oct, middle of October, until today, to find out they weren’t coming, found that out through Choice. I could not be more disappointed or cold, we have waited for at weeks For them to fix our furnace. Finally, we hired another Furnace Co to get some heat in these cold days. God bless them, I am sure their house.is warm.

I received notification on 02/02/2026 that the technician would be out sometime between 3-8 pm on 02/03/2026. On 02/03/2026, I received a phone call asking if I was available at 12 pm. Got dressed and put the cats and dogs up so they wouldn’t run out. Looked outside and saw a blue pickup, and assuming it was the technician, I opened the front door and left it open. No one ever came to the door, so I figured he was doing paperwork or making phone calls. Went to fix a bite to eat while I was waiting, then looked out, and no one was there. I missed a phone call at 12:30, and after calling back at 12:32, they said the technician had left stating no one was home. The lady said he should be back in 30 minutes. I didn’t get her name (does anyone ever get the name?). I was home, and my stepdaughter was on a Zoom meeting, and we never heard anyone at the door. After waiting an hour, I called back, and was told it would be next week. I told the this time man I talked to I was home. I asked if the technician was driving a blue pickup, and unhappily he stated yes. Maybe there were other circumstance, but after a couple of untruths, it’s my opinion that this company is unreliable.

Avoid Floyd’s! At first, Josh and his team were friendly, but when issues arose, their professionalism disappeared.
After installing my HVAC in early 2024, they did a pre-summer check-in and assured me everything was fine. Days later, a severe leak from my attic unit caused ceiling damage. It required lots of time, visits, multiple repair attempts, and when we were finally almost done: one of their techs put a foot through my ceiling. Rather than handling the issue directly, Floyd’s forwarded me to their attorney without notice. They originally promised not to bill me for all of their failed repairs, then billed me over $1,200 months later. Worse, they still refuse to reimburse me for damages unless I sign an NDA—a shady and unprofessional move.
It’s been almost a year, and Floyd’s has done nothing to make things right. Avoid them at all costs.
**UPDATE following your reply**
Thank you for your response. While I don’t intend to continue engaging further, I believe it’s important to correct several key misrepresentations—for your records and in the interest of transparency on public platforms.
First, while the drain line was pre-existing, your team had two clear opportunities to identify the issue: once during installation, and again during a follow-up visit before the system was ever run. Both times, I was told the system had been fully tested and was ready to go. There was no discussion about reusing the line as a cost-saving measure—that decision was made by your team, and I trusted your professional judgment.
In reality, the lines weren’t tested at all until after the first leak, when I specifically requested a test. Only then did your technician discover the clog—because I insisted it be checked. Prior to that, repairs were made based on assumption rather than proper diagnostic steps.
The suggestion that I worsened the damage by running the system against your advice is false. After each leak, I shut off the unit. After the first repair and second leak, with temperatures indoors over 80°, I asked if I could manually drain the pan while cooling the home. Josh explicitly gave me the go-ahead via text. I didn't sleep that night to manually drain the pan, and there were no leaks during this time. To suggest I ignored guidance or caused further damage is simply inaccurate and defamatory.
As for the $1,200 repair bill: after seeing the damage and failed repairs, Josh said, “We’re sorry—there obviously won’t be any charge for this.” That wasn’t a generous offer; it was a basic acknowledgment of fault.
Finally, regarding the "$500 offer" for ceiling repairs: that was not a goodwill gesture. Your attorney offered it only in exchange for me signing a nondisclosure agreement—a move clearly intended to silence me, not to take responsibility. It’s unclear if that offer referred to the water damage or the hole in my ceiling caused when one of your technicians fell through. In either case, no repairs were made, and the matter was handed to a lawyer instead of being handled professionally or even reasonably. I spent thousands of dollars to repair the damage myself.
I’m not writing in hopes of further resolution. I’m sharing this to ensure the facts are clear for anyone who may review this situation when selecting a service company in the future. While I’m glad Floyd’s is no longer operating independently, I would strongly caution against placing anyone from Josh’s team in customer-facing or issue-resolution roles. The failure wasn’t in the product—it was in the accountability when things went wrong. -
This company does not care about customers. They were assigned our pro through our insurance American Home Shield to service our gas furnace. They contacted us once to see if we were available on one day. When we were not due to work. They said they would call us back, but did not give us a call back to even let us know their next availability. I had to call the company multiple times to request a service this week and let them know I had a sick child in my home. Temperatures were set to drop into the 30s for the weekend. The owner refused to squeeze us in and said that they would be available to come out the following Wednesday. The owner also refused to push it back to our insurance company because they "quote" said it would affect their rating. This company does not care about customers, but only the money they get. They are ready to as they say "ready to give you the bird."
