Had a great experience , they just completed a generator install a few days ago for us. Everything looks very clean and tidy. Can’t complain about anything. Drew was our installer and couldn’t have asked for a better hard working individual.

Our installers: Ryan and Scott worked very hard, kept us informed regarding the installation process and left a clean work space. They were kind and professional.

Terry our sales rep was there and made sure everything was set up the way we wanted. She is very professional and personable and wants to make sure everything is done right. We couldn’t ask for a better team.

So, I will begin this review with the one thing that went well, and that was the basic installation for our white vinyl privacy fencing. Thanks for doing your job, it looked great!

Everything outside or beyond the actual basic installation seemed to go south. Asked for an itemized receipt three times on three separate occasions before they would finally send it to me (had to keep them on the phone to make sure that they actually sent it to my email). They seemed very hesitant to do this for some reason. And when they did send it, it still wasn't a detailed itemized receipt - more generalized - but I guess about as itemized as I was going to get from them. For a $13,000+ job, I didn't think it would be too much to ask?

They advised that a "hard dig" would need to be done in order to uproot the trunk of a Rose Of Sharon bush that was supposedly in the installation path of the fencing. I began cutting this tree down to make their dig job a bit easier. They later stated that they went ahead and decided not to charge me for the hard dig after all, that this would be "on them". While this wasn't anything that I specifically requested, it was greatly appreciated. That is, until I discovered that the base and tree root were exactly as I left it before their installation (on the other side of the fence, never touched). Thanks for not charging me for a job that was never done in the first place? And making it look like you were doing me a special favor by claiming it was done!

Finally.. another empty promise came in the form of a fence post installation that was requested. This was not in the original request, but obviously needed to close a gap between our shed and the fence (to contain our dogs). I gladly offered to pay for this part and labor, but again, they took it upon themselves to complete the task..no charge. A few weeks pass, and I reached out to check the order status, and was greeted with a defensive attitude about the length of time that it takes to receive this part - and that you "just can't pick it up from a Lowe's or Home Depot". I checked both stores, and every variation of this white vinyl post (dig/no dig) can be shipped and delivered within a week.. Fast forward, now six weeks after this was requested - reached out yet again to check on it - and this time, no answer (as I was already suspecting). I could have had this done myself weeks ago, had I not been falsely led to believe that they ordered it for me..

Many have reported a good experience with these guys, and our installation overall looks great.. But, the empty promises and the defensive attitude when being called out for their mistakes - not good. I am sure these guys are busy, but don't just do the basic job and then leave customers hanging after promising other services in addition. Promises that didn't have to be made.

I had a terrible experience with A-Plus Contractors on a roofing/siding job in Charleston, WV.
The contract, which I signed on December 5, 2024 was not completed correctly until July 29, 2025.
There were some "no shows," including one to repair a roof leak which overflowed the catch pan, causing damage to my kitchen ceiling. The gutter/siding crew eventually showed up, without advanced notice, while I was out-of-town, so I wasn't there to supervise the installation. Some work was incomplete, or done with the wrong materials.
First photo shows how new downspouts were installed without an adapter to the drain pipe, causing debris to gather in the gap. Additional photos show how the wrong-sized siding was used to repair fire damage. Even when the correct siding was installed, the burnt trim at the bottom wasn't replaced,, so the repair was not completed until nearly 9-months after the contract began.
On the plus side, A Plus has a new employee named Caleb who ultimately made sure the siding job was completed correctly. He stayed on-site with the crew while some snow guards and rain diverters were added to the much-delayed project.

I scheduled an appointment. They canceled the day before and rescheduled never showed up. Only to Tell me the technician was sick and wants to reschedule again I do not recommend them. Same story twice in a row.

Lowe's used them as a contractor for a generator installation. I paid in full January 5th, 2023 for generator and labor. Was told it would be done late Februrary.

Later find out rescheduled for March 27th, today. Got a call a few days before the install A+ canceled the install and pushed it out to May 5th. Blamed permitting office and electric company. I called both, they clearly stated A+ just flat canceled the job. Permit was approved, Electricians were ready. A+ basically just didn't want to do the job.

Fought with Lowe's to get my money back. Now looking for another contractor to install.

DO NOT USE. They are thieves. Lied the whole way, blaming everyone else for not doing work they agreed to do months ago.

When it came time for mainteance we scheduled for Feb 3rd. The tech never showed up and I called them at 4 pm and they said he had an emergency. I asked why they did not call me since I waited all day they just said sorry. I asked for a discount of the $232 they charge for the reschedule they said no discount. I fired them and hired another company to do it cheaper. Avoid this company Do not let them install or maintain, they do not support veterans.

I had an absolutely horrible experience with this company. We had a white vinyl privacy fence put up around our backyard. Easy job, we had a fairly small yard. It took them from July- November to get it completely done which is RIDICULOUS. I was the one constantly reaching out to check on progress, when parts were coming in, etc. Their communication is ATROCIOUS (which I have also seen from other reviews). Now, I will say that the outside contractors that they hired to actually install the fence were great, our fence looks good. However, if at all possible, find out who they contract out to do the fence and just contact them directly. (edit: I did take this part out)

I also told multiple people in this company how upset I was about this entire process and had multiple long phone calls trying to come to a conclusion on how to make things right. All they did was blame everything on Lowe’s, or someone else in the office, and never took responsibility for their actions and lack of professionalism or communication.

Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time here cause I sure wish I didn’t :).
