The folks at Dominion have been great for me. I just gave out their number.

Marks corners with nails that rust and cracked concrete. Hazard for neighborhood kids walking by. Wont use again.

Bought a house, and are highly satisfied with the survey plat copies that were provided, and the customer service provided afterwards when I asked for clarification on a few matters. Will likely hire them to perform a monumentation survey.

Have not met any of their field personnel, but judging from the products they provided to my closing company, I would feel good about hiring them for future work.

I needed a property line marked and Dominion was quick to both get my job on the schedule and come out to do the work. The price was reasonable and the employees professional. Phone staff at the office we’re also responsive and friendly.

I called dominion about a week ago because I had some questions about the property description on deeds for two properties we own. They went out of their way to answer all my questions and gave me the information that I needed, they were very friendly. I would highly recommend this company to anybody that needs survey work done for their property.

My residential property is located on the boundary of the Huntley Meadows Park in Groveton. As an animal lover and undergraduate Biology major, prior to entering medicine, I appreciate and enjoy the abundance of wildlife that live in the local wetlands conservation area. I have been greeted by a pair of yearling deer strolling down Vantage Drive, encountered foxes and an occasional coyote in my driveway and of course, the woodchuck that lives under my shed and the rabbit family that inhabit the wood cradle on my backyard patio. Providing a safe space for wild animals that consider my home their home, while at the same time protecting the environment and discouraging interspecies predation are important considerations for me as a responsible homeowner. In an effort to better secure my one third of an acre lot, in June of 2018, I decided to add additional fencing to my property. To avoid the possibility of any boundary disputes with my neighbors, I asked Dominion Surveyors to confirm the accuracy of the preexisting iron pipe markers. Their service was outstanding. Recently I needed another laminate copy of the drawing of my lot. I spoke with a lady in the Dominion Surveyor’s office on a Monday and two days later I had two complimentary laminate copies. If you are looking for a prompt, accurate surveyor that demonstrates due diligence and professionalism in everything they do, Dominion Surveyor’s is your best choice in Northern Virginia.

We purchased a home recently. We wanted to have an accurate survey of the property. We were referred to Dominion Surveyors by the title company. What a blessing! The entire team - office to crew - were the consummate professionals! They always took time to respond to questions. We didn’t feel rushed at any time. The surveyed the property promptly. We had several questions. They took the time to listen to us and provide a solid answer. We highly recommend Dominion Surveyors for any survey needs you may have!

This is an incredible outfit. I used them for a House Location Survey and the level of service you get with them is top notch. Every single person there is friendly, patience, and happy to help. In particular, Derek. He blew me away on how friendly and open he was in explaining every bit of the service they were providing. I can't say enough about him, his friendliness, and the ACTUAL work they do. Go them a go!

I paid beforehand for a property survey with stakes. The survey date was 4/22/2025. I took the day off from work to meet the survey team. At 10:00 am of the survey date I learned that the survey was completed the day before. The company did not notify me that the survey date was changed. I demanded and got back the money I paid for the survey.

I was in a bind to get a survey done and they came through in flying colors.

In addition FFX county zoning made us change things and when I reached back out to Dominion they quickly made the changes which by the way was not their fault. It was just FFX zoning making something simple, difficult.

Highly recommend Dominion for all your survey needs.

Needed a house location survey on my father's house and Dominion made it as painless a process as possible. Courteous and professional both on the telephone and in person, Dominion got a team out to ny location and measured that house from just about every conceivable direction. PDF was emailed quickly and I just received 5 beautiful paper copies in the mail. Great service and great value, in my opinion. Will definitely use their services again as required!

We wanted to use Dominion for a surveying job and made contact. We had a clear email discussion and the person in charge was clearly the homeowner. Dominion's employee ("Emeli"), stopped hitting "REPLY" on the emails.

Instead simply replying to the homeowner, who'd initiated contact and sent the email-- the receptionist found a random CC we'd forwarded to her son. They decided this "male" email address was the important one, and only sent information to "him" going forward.

I don't know if "Emeli" does discrimination against women as a matter of course, or if Dominion is sexist. What I do know: Their receptionist ignored the homeowner and other contacts, found a random male email address in a CC and decided "He" was the point of contact. They did not apologize and made a rude, blunt reply.

If you initiate an email chain with Dominion, just know Dominion will helpfully shift responsibility to your nearest male relative if his email is included anywhere. We went with a more "21st century" surveyor who has oriented to today's customs.

Dominion Surveyors is sloppy and has created boundary dispute issues. Do not use. The survey team was rude and uncommunicative. They did not respect our property, and trespassed upon our neighbor's property -- across the street! They placed a boundary marker that was a foot plus off the boundary line. Mr. O'Quinn is extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. He did not care about the implications of their incorrect surveys, he made insulting remarks when I asked him to verify their measurements (saying, "you must really hate your neighbor" and "I can smell a problem a mile away and that problem is you"), he lied and came up with ridiculous excuses ("there's no guarantee the shared wall is actually in the middle of the duplex"), and told me to call his lawyer.

This company showed up on my property without announcement in an unmarked vehicle and uninvited by me, they were hired by a third entity.
I would have thought some courtesy would be warranted but all I got was attitude. I would look elsewhere if someone was looking for a professional provider.

Just purchased a home, Dominion Surveyors was picked by the title company. After our home purchase we requested to have someone come walk the property line with us. Elvis and Mike came out and were happy to walk with us and pointed out all the markings they had made.

The only positive thing I can say about my experience with this company is they answer the phone and don’t hassle you on a refund if they haven’t staked your home. Aside from that every bad review is likely true and not just people being Karens. I requested a property line survey of my new home as I wanted to know how far I can push my privacy fence project without encroaching on my neighbors property. I requested the survey on September 22, 2025. They quoted me a hefty price, but I needed to do this for the knowing and there weren’t many companies available that I could find providing the service so I decided to just go with them. They scheduled me for a month out on October 20th, so had to move my project. They stated no work will be done until I paid, but that I was in the books and just have to pay before that day. I live 5 minutes from their office, showed up the week before and paid by check, and inquired if they’d complete my work as scheduled as my project was due same week the lady told me she’ll verify and came back that they completed the work already and just needed pay…I was confused as my wife never saw anyone working from home and my cameras didn’t pick up anyone but I trusted them. I check my lot there were no stakes as I paid for so I called them early morning the day of the work and asked about it and they acted clueless then came back with they can come do it on Friday…my project is Wednesday and my date was Oct.20 in the books and they’re telling me the guys already left for the day at 11am. So why am I on the books for today…then they try to say oh thats how we do it we do the first part then come back for the stakes…”come back…?” You never came in the first place…I am so glad I paid by check and was able to get my money back hassle free. The positive reviews are the people that weren’t the sacrificial lambs of their poor management of projects.

I needed a copy of a plat that the previous homeowner had done right before I bought the property. Keydi at Dominion Surveyors literally got my request and got me a digital copy of my plat in LESS THAN AN HOUR! That is the single fastest and easiest customer request to executed timeline of my entire life. That is unheard of performance. Thank you Keydi!
