Fantastic nursery. Wide selection. Knowledgeable staff. High quality plants. My go-to for plants and annuals. Probably not the cheapest, but top shelf. Really cute yard stuff, like the hand made bird houses.

A always helpful staff with tons of knowledge. If they don't know the answer to your situation, they will find out. Staff go above and beyond to help and teach you about your plants and trees. Workshops are helpful too.

We have used Wasco for over 20 years, many trees and other landscaping products. We also have relied on their expertise and never been disappointed. Recently we had an issue with a tree planted last season. Unsurprisingly, the issue was resolved without any argument or stress. Thank you.

I’m a big fan of Wasco and have been frequenting for the last year or so. They have a great variety of trees, bushes, annuals or perennials. And I always love their succulents and how cute they are! Their staff have always been very friendly and knowledgeable.

I’ve been an avid gardener for 40+ years and have a yard full of flowers, shrubs and trees. Unfortunately, as I’ve gotten older I’m not physically able to give the time effort needed to keep everything looking nice. I went to Wasco Nursery and talked with Meagan P. about designing a lower maintenance garden. I was very pleased. Her updated design will allow me to continue spending time with my plants while saving me a lot of aches and pain. Also, Jose and his crew did a great job with installing all the new plants as well as moving some already on the property. I appreciate the care and thought he used to relocate some of my favorite plants. I recommend Wasco Nursery without reservation.

Such an amazing nursery. This is one of the nicest nurseries my husband and I have been to. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
There are own-root roses here for great prices.
Will be coming back here forever. -
Summary - Sharing our over the top positive Wasco Nursery customer experience. Our end to end experience was 5 out of 5 and we are “over the moon” with the result:
Across a handful visits over a few months with 4 Wasco tree specialists listening to our needs and specific location factors, the objectives accounting for pollinator and hummingbird needs, initial ideas for trees, leaf colors, soil and slope conditions, black walnut tree interaction, and then to their refinement on our initial ideas. Outcome: Excellent purchasing experience.
We requested their delivery and planting services as well. They then scheduled the optimal Fall planting event.
Homeowner activities: up front activities 1) define your needs and expectations 2) map of the area you are planting 3) sun/shade, slope, soil type and wetness<>dryness. Post purchase 4) we marked with supplied flags the locations for plantings, 5) and 1 week prior to planting, we were asked to water the bone dry soil. 6) We also registered a week before delivery with the Before You Dig website to have utilities marked.
The delivery and planting crew teams delivered nearly 2 dozen trees and had them in the ground and mulched in less than 4 hours. The crew chiefs looked at each tree flag, made any minor adjustments to the location, and the crews dug the monster holes. They were incredibly skilled and coordinated at moving the 1,000 pound plus tree root balls all across the yard and slopes. They carefully positioned and adjusted each tree, fed them with organic starter for the roots and mulched them. All their efforts led to an incredible outcome of transforming a former cleared invasive tree wasteland to immediate positive impact of a mini arboretum. It makes a huge difference to have a team that cares about what they are doing, and the Wasco crews were courteous, professional, and did quality control of each tree planting.
Already the birds are using the trees.
We were so impressed with the results and the entire customer experience that we have accelerated a second phase of tree purchases from Wasco and now have more trees to be planted in a few weeks.
If you are looking for large trees, a great experience, and for fulfilling your dream of a personal arboretum and botanical garden, stop by the great people at Wasco. They also have a selection of plants and supplies for your garden. Make a trip of it to also grab lunch in St Charles or Geneva too at a local joint. -
Home away from home for sure. We have done a lot of planting this year and the entire staff has done an awesome job and helping, guiding, and pushing our comfort zones to explore different ideas and plant. They did a great job planting some trees for us as well. They came in and made suggestions and tips and cleaned up beautifully!

Bought a tree had it planted three years later it’s dead they come out replaced it with another tree and a year and a half later that tree dies this nursery has problems with trees dying. I would not buy any tree from this company then they give you a song and dance about their warranty $600 for a tree down the drain people be aware don’t buy from here.

I've passed this place hundreds of times without stopping but today I decided to stop... This place is perfection. Pricing is very reasonable, plants are healthy and well labeled, and they have a nice selection of pottery. I prefer houseplants so I did not look at exterior plants but I am impressed with the selection and quality for the price for indoor plants. I'll definitely be back!

Absolutely love the selection of succulents, cacti, and planters. Great location to pick up a quick gift for plant lovers. Great selection of outdoor plants and garden accent pieces. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful!! Prices were reasonable, seems like a great hidden secret. I can't wait to go back!!!

Jay was great and turned our yard into a beautiful oasis. He was super easy to work with and did an amazing job with the landscape design aspect. We started with a construction mud pit so his vision was crucial. Definitely recommend.

Jay is the real deal! His passion for landscaping is contagious - from the initial design to ongoing maintenance, he's all in. Super transparent, communicative, and clearly loves what he does. His work speaks for itself, but his dedication to the craft is what sets him apart. He's also just a wonderful person to be around and brings joy wherever he goes! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a partner in creating their dream outdoor space!

Jay was a joy to work with. He came up with great designs for our front yard, is a very hard worker, and he is extremely knowledgeable about all varieties of plants and bushes.

I have been working with INNovation Studios For the past three years and have had nothing but wonderful experiences and results in my garden and landscaping. I will continue to work with Jay in the future, and I highly recommend him to anybody looking to create a beautiful” Outdoor room”!

In 2020, INNovation developed a landscape design for a new bed that surrounds our patio. Jay is knowledgeable about plants that grow well in this zone and his creative plan blended well with our existing landscape. He and his workers were respectful of covid mask restrictions while working on our project. Although he does not offer a warranty on the plants, his fees are generally in line with other area businesses.

A recent home addition resulted in our yard flooding with the slightest bit of rain, making about a third of the backyard unusable. In mid-spring 2020, we met with Jay Holinger to explore landscaping solutions. Jay asked insightful questions and took measurements around the entire property, including the slope of the land. When Jay rolled out his design just days later, including photos of the plants and materials, I almost cried. Jay had envisioned a backyard oasis with a rain garden, using mostly native plants to attract pollinators. The design included raised garden beds for vegetables, a rain barrel, several new evergreens and a beautiful Paperbark Maple as the show piece. To remedy the awkward appearance of the pre-existing brick patio with the new home addition, Jay cleverly used cedar timber walkways with limestone chips to pull it all together. His design was a masterpiece!
The installation was scheduled for May, but May turned out to be the wettest May on record to date in Illinois. As a result, Jay had a backlog of customers waiting for installations. Jay remained in close contact with me, keeping me informed of his schedule. Soon, Jay and his team arrived and got straight to work.
Throughout the installation, Jay consulted with me to ensure that I was still happy with his design, as the rain garden took shape, and as we finalized plantings. Every day, I watched Jay meticulously consider his placements from multiple perspectives, making certain that everything was visually appealing.
Within a week, the former mud pit had been transformed to an oasis, exactly as Jay had envisioned. This spring/summer, we have enjoyed our backyard like never before. We have seen new types of birds, lots of hummingbirds, dragonflies, butterflies, and more types of bees and mud daubers than we knew existed! And now we welcome heavy rain! I look forward to having Jay and his team come back to transform our front yard! Thank you Jay and team!
