Blades of Grass did some yard clean up for me. I had some crazy vines growing that I couldn’t get rid of. The guys got to work and everything looks great. All the staff is wonderful. Appreciate their hard work and cleaning up the yard. Thanks!

Blades of Grass is awesome! When I was in a bad situation, they jumped in and help get my yard in shape. They arrive every week (same day), and take care of things. My yard looks great, they guys that arrive are very good, courteous and good follow up. I have them scheduled to do clean up on some plants that have gotten out of control and can’t wait to see how it turns out. Highly recommend this company. Erin B

This was our first time using Blades Of Grass. I am absolutely thrilled with what they did. We had an over grown hosta garden. Way too much work for us to take on. They came out and in one day completely transformed my front garden.
The workers were friendly and worked really hard.

Wonderful experience from initial visit with Kelly to discuss what we wanted done to completion of project. Within a week after consultation received email with quote & rendering of the design . Crew Jonah, Myron, Michael & John were professional, showed up on time. Jonah walked me through the process. Started by removed shrubs, installed new plants ( just as pictured). Cleaned work area and told me how to care for new plants. Already scheduled next project in September for lawn install.

This company is amazing! We desperately needed help landscaping our backyard after we tore down an above ground pool we had for over 35 years! Not only did they do a yard clean up for us, but transformed our yard into an oasis for an entertainment area for a fire pit!
Kelly was the first person we met, she came out and worked with us and helped us envision what our yard could be like. She knows her stuff and was so so nice!!
Next Corey got us all scheduled and answered all of my many questions..... Thank you for being so kind and patient!!

Blades of Grass did an excellent job. Kelly was extremely helpful and patient with me while making suggestions and helping me make decisions to design our backyard project. Jonah was the crew leader and was very courteous and considerate of our yard, our schedule and the placement of shrubs and trees.
The only thing I would like to say is that we specifically talked about wanting a row of arborvitae’s for privacy. The trees are really small and won’t help us with any kind of privacy for MANY, MANY years to come. Quotes come in “gallons” which doesn’t help someone that isn’t familiar with how that equates to actual size. Even though I am sure it was on the quote somewhere. I do believe it was my assumption that they understood our goals and I didn’t do my due diligence to ensure the trees were going to be big enough. I am a lay person that hired professionals to guide me. This is just a heads up to someone else that may not understand, as we didn’t.
I am giving them 5 stars because I loved working with this company. They were professional and responsive and did a wonderful job. We plan to use them in the future and look forward to working with them again.

We recently had Blades of Grass beautify our front and side gardens. From the first telephone call to them, the estimate, the scheduling the job, the three guys performing the task of getting rid of weeds and laying a weed protector cloth & sweet peat for our mulch and cleanup, everything was professional and top notch. Our gardens had gotten overgrown with weeds and one out-of-control wild holly bush that needed to be taken out and replaced. They did a wonderful job and the aesthetics of the front of our home is beautiful. Many of the neighbors and friends tell us how nice it looks now. Everyone in the company that we dealt with was so nice and helpful.

Blades of Grass has trimmed and mowed our lawn since we moved to Lorain County in 2020. They have always been respectful in their care for our lawn, carefully mowing between fruit trees and meticulously trimming around our fencing and borders. The team gives us notification of when they will be at our house on the service day and advises us ahead of the regular time if weather may delay their arrival. When we replaced our exterior deck this year with a three seasons room, they mowed around the construction area and piles of building materials with great care and no complaints. They have also performed several landscaping services for us and each has been completed with the greatest professionalism. We give them five stars for their service and dependability.

I've been using Blades of Grass for 3 years now. This year, they have offered bundled packages that saved me a ton of money. I expanded the services with their new premium bundle to include insect control, fertilization, core aeration, shrub care, landscape bed care, and mowing and a lot more. For the price, I was a fool not to. The BoG team is very professional and always does a terrific job.

We hired Blades of Grass Landscaping and they put in 2 French drains, draining them to the ditch in the back of our yard. The drains weren’t working, we still had big amounts of standing water for days, so they came back and put in a catch basin. The other part of the job we hired them to do was to grade the yard back towards the ditch line, which it is absolutely not graded one bit in that direction or any direction at all. . So our yard is now worse than what it was when we started. Water from the ditch floods and goes back into the drain up into the catch basin which also floods our yard. We seeded the yard and put down straw after they had completed the job. The first rain fall we had flooded the yard and killed my expensive seed, so I wasted money on that, straw and fertilizer. Only the back half of the yard that is now higher due to their “grading” is the only spot that grass grew. There was dirt back there they put in the lowest spot that they said would settle and would appear higher for several weeks before settling so give it time. Originally our yard was only wet in the back half, now the entire yard is wet due to their “grading” and faulty french drain. I asked them to check the grade with lasers to confirm it was done properly and they said they were good at eyeballing it. We contacted them plenty of times to come help us fix this, we paid a lot of money just for our yard to have absolutely nothing done to it to fix our problem but only make it worse. They did bring us some top soil to fill in a small low spot in the back. Which was a good thing but it only helped that one spot in the yard, what about the rest of the yard? I called once again and they came back and wanted to give me a quote for more drains and more topsoil… for a job that should have been done right in the first place. Not to mention one of the French drains were put in the wrong place. On the scope of work form I signed to approve, our yard was outlined in green and then the drains were marked in green on top of that. I didn’t even know there were drawings of drains on that green outline of our yard. I thought the green outline was showing what area they were grading. I even told the owner when he was here I didn’t even notice them, and he said I should probably pick a different color. As we spoke to one of the owners the first day he came to check out our yard I showed him the wet areas of concern. He was the one who used the trenching machine for placement of the drains. It was raining the day they came so I stayed inside with my 2 month old and 3 year old other than going out to tell them I had snacks and drinks in a cooler and I brought them out towels because of the rain. So I wasn’t really watching anything they were doing. I called and called and left messages and emailed them basically begging them to come help us fix our yard, that what they left us with wasn’t fair at all. They basically wouldn’t help us with anything there on out unless we wanted to pay them more. One more thing, in the contract i signed it said they would take away leftover dirt from the job, nope… they decided to ride over the ditch and throw it in the woods behind my yard that isn’t even my property and pretend to act like they didn’t know it wasn’t our property. Even still, if it was my property they should have asked. My husband came home from somewhere as they were doing it otherwise I wouldn’t have even known. They also left tons of dirt in the road I had to clean up myself which took me probably 2 hours on two different days. Very unprofessional and why would you want to have work that looks like that? I called the city to see if there was a permit submitted and they never even did that, until after the job only because I realized they didn’t get one from the beginning. Now we are stuck with a swamp yard, two small children with no yard to play in and have to spend thousands more to fix what should have been properly done from the beginning. Please do not hire this company unless you want to be screwed over, at least for drainage solutions.

The staff was very professional and polite throughout the entire process. Their quote stated exactly what could be done and what choices I had. The day of the work they showed up on schedule. They worked with us on any concerns and questions we had. They did an amazing job in turning what was a large pile of dirt back into a yard. They completely cleaned up the entire area after completion. There design to hide the large pipe now sticking out of our front yard looks amazing.**Update-had them out for second job, once again they kept me updated did a great job laying mulch.

Such an amazing job with our landscaping! The landscapers were so friendly and office staff was very responsible. We had one small drainage issue arise and they were quick to resolve the issue.

Kiy, Kenny, and Mike were wonderful! They came early and were incredibly efficient and thorough with any questions I had. They definitely check all the boxes and I 100% recommend them!

Updating my review 7/2024 - Mike R. has been doing regular bed maintenance for us for a few months now and we are so pleased. He checks in with us when he visits, gives updates on what he’s doing and our beds look as good as they did the first day the Blades of Grass team cleaned/mulched them.

This company started out good, but I am finding in just a few months that they seem to have all new employees and I was told by the office that all of my original guys quit. Anyhow, this is the second time that they chose to come out on a day when it has been raining all day, which their equipment causes gouges in the grass and clumps. They don't seem to care and Cory at the office told me that they just need to get the last cut in and complete the season. In the meantime, they seem to want to sell me a Fall/Winter weekly service to pick up sticks and debris weekly for $230+ a month. I did call them this morning to let them know that the rest of the week would be drier and I was told that they would get back to me, which didn't happen, and the guys just showed up. There is very poor communication and most importantly, they just don't seem to care about results.

Over fertilized my lawn and burnt a path all through my lawn along the side and all through the front lawn. So I payed to have my lawn looking good through the summer and that is what I ended up with. With that being said I know mistakes happen. They replanted the area and aerated and over seeded this fall. However there are still very many patchy spots and it looks bad. I believe the company should have paid more attention to what was going on with the repair above and beyond without my prompting. To get the aeration and over-seeding I had to call about the condition of the lawn. I believe they were just focused on their repair efforts and not on restoring the lawn to its previous condition. The lawn still looks bad and I am getting no communication to what their efforts are to restore the lawn.

I had an overseed done and they actually came out the day I made the deposit. They are always very prompt and treat me as a serious customer even with me having a small yard. I'm very impressed with the results.

Pésimo servicio ayer compre un articulo y no entraba en mi carro la caja y no quisieron ayudarme me dieron una hora para recogerlo y aparte sino llego en 1.hora se perdía mi dinero fueron arrogantes y jamas escuche que no puedo devolver algo en el momento tenia que esperar 2 días para devolverlo me toco que pagar 50 dolares para llevarlo ha casa creo que nonfue gusto y rento decir que solo tenia 1 hora para recogerlo sino se perdía todo
