Owner of company requested final payment even though small things still need to be done and I had not received a final invoice. He told us those are punch list items and they would be done (said he has never not finished a job) and he would get us invoice. One of the punch list items is fence still needs to be finished along with cleaning up trash left from taking down the old fence like the steel posts with concrete attached to the bottom of them that were dug up from Old fence and left in the yard of the abandoned house next door. I requested the final invoice several times because I need to turn it into insurance for review so they can issue any recoverable depreciation that is due. Still no invoice or response to text messages requesting both the invoice and the completion of job. The drywall work and painting done inside my house by people who are supposed to be professionals and were paid professional pay from my insurance company looks more like a do it yourself job done by home owners trying to save a buck. I was also told that all of my belongings that LPI stored while my house was being repaired would be cataloged on a manifest that would have what items were in what boxes to make finding things as we move back in easy. The day my belongings were brought back to my home I noticed some things were missing. The missing items were finally found after a worker searched there warehouse lockers and found them. I asked for the manifest that day so I could be sure all my belongings were accounted for. I was told they would get it for me when they got back to the office and bring it to me the next day. They did not bring it and I have requested it several times since. I have still not received the manifest or a final invoice. No matter how sad his story is do not give Bill any advances until job is 100 percent complete and you have all invoices you want/need. If insurance is paying for repairs make sure you read you insurance estimate and if it says things are to be replaced that they are replaced and not wiped down and rehung
Owner does not communicate even when asked to several times. We have begged for an itemized bill, keep getting told for weeks now he will get it to us. Have been begging for my fence to be repaired after the horrific job that was done on it and the massive trash left behind. He has stopped responding after the most recent no show. It has been almost 2 weeks since his last response to us which was with dates he'd come fix fence. Then he was a no show, and hasn't bothered with so much as a text message since. Job inside of house was DIY quality and took much longer that we were promised. We were forced, because of time we were told job would be done - which we communicated to the place we were staying and we had to vacate, to move back into house while repairs were still happening. We did our best to be accommodating, I even worked from home for a week, so they could have that week of time to access the house as much as needed, and during that week barely any work was done. Then he would complain that he could only access house in evening when he came home from work, even though he knew a month prior to this that this would be the situation if we had to move back in.
