This has been the worst experience of my homeownership life. I was rescheduled twice already the first time due to being told my unit had ice and the second being told it's a 3 hours job we have to reschedule. All three appointments were schedule to happen between 8am and 12 pm. The second and third appointment all happened after 3pm with no phone call from the company to update me. I was asked if I would be made a priority and was told they had no control over when I would be seen. The route is made based on the best fuel efficient route. Being that this is the third time having to come out, not because of my doing, I wasn't made a priority and keep being told there is nothing they can do about it. I wish no one else have to experience this.

Full disclosure: I'm only giving a second star to this business because the owner finally decided to go and make things right, but it was after this company raised my blood pressure to boiling.
The timeline: I was reported an AC outage at my tenants property on the West Bank and called these guys for service. Conveniently they had a same day appointment on memorial Day in the afternoon. Tech comes out and is super friendly with my tenants, he blows out the drain and clears some water out of the system and claims we're all finished up.
I get a message the next day from my tenants: the house is still not cooling. Ok no problem, I can these folks back to get someone out there to check things out because again, the system is still not functioning properly. The last on the phone wants to read a bunch of things off a list to me about critiques of my system and frankly, I didn't care because my problem has not been rectified, so they agreed to send someone out again that morning.
The second tech that arrived to my house was rather dismissive of my tenants questions and concerns, and frankly also mine considering the call I just had with the office stating my concern for the safety and comfort of the occupants in the 90+degree NOLA heat and the clear misdiagnosis of my issue.
This tech was not at my property long, he did not attempt to communicate with me while he was on site, nor did the office as they had called to approve the work before. They *did* text my tenant that I "probably" needed more gas after he left though. Really confidence inspiring folks, right?!
I ended up calling the office back over this, asking what gives because again, the problem had not yet been rectified. They told me about the work that they recommended get done, but told me they couldn't tell me when they could get it done.
When I asked why the guy didn't work on it when he was there considering this job was a holdover from the day before that had been so clearly misdiagnosed, saying that she needed to talk to her dispatch manager, and that he wouldn't be back till later, and there was no communication method to get hold of him. Really convenient!
I finally got a call back at 4 in the afternoon, and when I asked if they were going to have the work done in the next couple hours and they said no, that I would need a refund because I'm furious at this point getting the run-around from this company.
After a long hold break, the company owner comes on the line and proceeds to say the problem was never misdiagnosed (which by the way, the system wasn't working, so it definitely was, very clearly misdiagnosed) and calls me dramatic for being concerned over the safety of the individuals under my tenancy, who's safety is my responsibility, and had been also my expressed concern.
Instead of getting any actual traction, I got more system critiques, and a ton of excuses from an owner that didn't want to give up money for his lousy initial service. After not being able to justify why my system was nonfunctioning after TWO visits from his technicians, he finally agrees to send me a quote to fix my system in finality that afternoon, barely discounted.
I paid it for the best interest and safety of my tenants, I can't say that what I paid was fair by any stretch, and I cannot under any circumstances recommend calling this company to service your system, because there's no guarantee they'll give it a proper evaluation, and do NOT expect accountability when they screw that part up, or to Even know when your system will be back up and running once they do screw it up.
Edit: a month after the service my unit was back to causing issues. Not a chance that these guys were going to swindle more cash from me so I called a new A/C contractor to my house. Bernard from EcoAir came to the property and gave me the "this is a no brainer I don't see how they missed this" talk and has had my system trouble free for multiple months at this point.
Express failed twice, taking my star back and putting them back to 1 and honestly, really wish I could give them zero stars. -
If this company is hired for you through a home warranty company, don’t expect anything done quickly! Our AC has been out for over a week, they didn’t follow up with me when they first put me on the schedule, resulting to having to push back the appointment, now it’s been over 24 hrs since the diagnosis of the problem and they haven’t touched it to get an authorization approved. Yet earlier today, staff first told me it was already submitted and that it was the home warranty company delaying. Only to find out it’s still waiting to be submitted. At least tell me the truth to start off. They are so unprofessional!

It’s been a month, and my house is still 100 degrees. I 1st went through my home warranty with American Home shield who linked me to Express Heating. Jimmy came out at the end of April & I expressed to him that my house wasn’t cooling and I think I have a leak in my addict that’s leaking out Freon. He checked it & said there’s no leak but he would put dye in it & check it again if I have to call them back out. He checked the outside unit and told me I had too much Freon and he let some out. The unit came back on. In May my house stopped cooling again so I requested a follow up appointment. By the time Jimmy came out within a few days the unit was back on and cooling without him doing anything but he went to the attic to check the dye and stated there is no leak. July comes and my home is 100 degrees and floors wet from the heat. I had to pay again for someone to come out this time because it was over 30 days. Jimmy and someone in training comes out and takes my outside unit apart and says he found a leak and an invoice would be sent to me. Mind you I’ve had to call each time to check the status because no one reached out to me for scheduling or updates. I never received an email with an invoice so I called and was told it would be sent to me that same day and that my warranty company denied paying for the claim. I called someone else out to fix the ac because now Im frustrated and hot with my 4 kids in the house. The 2 nd person comes out and shows me the leak in the attic and said it will cost me $5060.00 to fix the inside and outside plus replace the Freon. I called Express heating back about the invoice and status and was told they were gone for the day but will be notified that I called. Til this day August 6, I am still without air. I wish I had read these reviews prior to dealing with this company. Pure highway robbery.

I would leave a 0-star review here if possible. Stay far away from this organization.
After being assigned a Dispatch by American Home Shield, Express Heating & AC managed to continuously shock me with how fraudulent, difficult to work with, and outright greedy a company could be. From refusing to list line-item breakdowns of estimated costs, to "accidentally" flagging numerous covered items as out of pocket costs, to a sales rep finally telling me on a recorded phone call that he would happily change the prices he had already provided only if I did work directly with Express...the behavior was truly abhorrent.
I want ever have them back on a property I own and recommend you don't either. -
This place does not need a rating but I had to do one because this review would not post without it. Very unprofessional and non compassionate experience. Once I was told that the technician was at an account before mine I rushed from the hospital which took me exactly 30 minutes and found them at the red light leaving my home. I pulled my car on the side and told them that I did not get a message that they were coming to my home and the two gentlemen told me that I wasn't home and I again tried to say that in the past I knew they were on their way and I was told it was not their problem and that the other visit was short. One of the technicians told me that they would come back this time but not again. I was appalled to know that as the customer that they would speak in this manner but I accepted it because of the > greater than 90 degree weather and the need for air. I went back to my home only to see that they turned around to not come to my home. I text the number and asked if they were coming and if not let me know and I would go back to work but they did not answer. Called the company and person answering told me all the managers were at lunch and someone would call me. The manager called me back and I relayed my experience only for her to tell me that she advised them not to come back and not give me the courtesy of a call because they told her I intercepted them in the traffic however mind you I talked to the two of them through the passenger window at the red light. The older gentlemen being ruder than the young man but I guess he feels he can because he can stretch the truth and tell his management what he wants and they believe him. I am with a insurance company therefore I guess this company feels that they can treat such customers any sort of way because they have to accept it. I did call the insurance company to tell them never let this company come to my house again and they should take them off the list of users because they simply don't care and respect that people have to take off from work (of which I did the week before, only for the technician to come to my home and tell me that nothing could be done because of the rain) nor do they care. I am in the health field and deal with an array of people and we have to be service oriented at all times no matter what we feel about the customer, de escalation is always the norm but not this company, they did not care for my business and didn't mind showing me that they did not want it. I think the managers name was Deanna and there is a Jimmy, listen everyone money spends everywhere and if you want quality service, compassionate care for clients and appreciation for business never use Express Heating and Air Conditioning.

This company is HORRIBLE. They only send you text messages instead of calling your phone to let you know they are at your home. I work overnight I fell asleep waiting on the technician. Instead of them calling they sent me a txt message to let me know they were here. Since I didn't hear the txt message they left. I DON'T RECOMMEND. Whoever made the policy to only text needs to be terminated

If I could give you zero stars I would! Your technicians came out on 5/26/25 for a simple service call & over amp the capacitor! Then your office fail to respond on said date of replacement! Technician was Jimmy! That got to the residence a day late and 2 hours after schedule time, your company is suspect! And I suggest any one out there not too use you! Again there’s was nothing wrong with the unit , when your techs arrived & was incompetent with the service. the capacitor that night at 12:02 AM 5/27/25 fail! From burnt wires from incompetence of knowing how to service a AC unit. Be that as it may, just because my name is not registered with the residence does not mean it’s not mine! Your so call office manager Lisa , was not truthful as well! This service was through Home Shield” home warranty! Not certain why I’m receiving constant harassment from this company’ management ? Yet my opinion about their service is true my observation! Nothing wrong with the ac unit until the spring maintenance checkup was performed 5/26/25 , that night after Express heating & cooling left the unit fail for reasons of burnt wires on the capacitor! They did not return to do the repair until 5/30/25, to replace wires that I believe were damage by the techs. No matter how much they dispute my opinion , I won’t change it! I would not do business with this company!
