My house always had problems cooling off during the summer months. After finally being fed up with expensive electricity bills I decided to do something about it. I spoke to my brother and he recommended Sunlight Contractors siting their expertise in ac and insulation. I gave Ira a call and within a couple hours Cody was at my house explaining what I needed to do to fix my problems. I now have an installation date and can't wait for my house to feel better and start reaping the benefits of cheaper electric bills. We were having issues with our house reaching temperatures between 82-84 degrees and staying there until sometimes 11 pm. It was exhausting, miserable and unbearable. Through word of mouth, we found Ira and Sunlight Contractors. From the first day, Ira was available, accessible, informative and he didn't stop until we were satisfied. He would text us am and pm everyday to check on us, and whatever needed to be done, he had a crew out the next day to attend to it. He even went so far to put us in touch with his A/C guy to fix issues outside of his work area. Ira stood by his promises and our house stays between 70-74 degrees consistently0depending on the outside temp and how our A/C is working). It is not even comparable to the way it was and I'm so grateful and could not be more thankful. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

I hired Sunlight Contractors after reading the reviews. My original intent was to insulate the attic at a house my daughter purchased in Mandeville.
Due to other issues , the work scope grew. Ira and his crew rose to and met all challenges as the scope grew. In addition to insulating the attic, we added dehumidifiers, and corrected the upstairs noise and floor squeaking problem. The bays in the upstairs floor were insulated and sound proofed. New 3/4" decking was installed at my request. I had them replace my deathtrap wooden pull-down attic stairs with an upgraded version. They also replaced four doors and frames. Electrical work- no problem; They installed new heat / light / vent units in the bathrooms. They rewired new smoke detectors and corrected all lighting and AC outlet issues. The list goes on the more issues that were found. If you want a one stop shop... Sunlight Contractors is for you. Always on time. Very good crews. Ira (the owner) is on site every day. Everything you ever wanted in a contracting company. They go to the ends of the earth to do the project right. Can't say enough good things. Recently retired, I now had time to rebuild the house I lost in hurricane Katrina. I've been in construction for 47 years so I know a little about the trades. I've had four different insulation contractors come out to my home to give me bids. All bids were in the same ballpark, but what I was going to get was in question, besides Sunlight Contractors! Sunlight Contractors spoke with confidence and clarity. After our initial visit, where they explained the products and how to make the job get done with the most efficiency. Corey Yates, one of the owners, was on site from start to finish during the foaming process. While talking with him he showed me a certification that proves he is a master spray foam insulation installer. On the job training is great but a little classroom time cant be beat! The crew was friendly, clean, polite, respectful of other trades installations, and most of all very clean. Upon leaving the job, the project was left cleaner than they found it. I heard about Sunlight Contractors from a friend who used them for closed cell spray foam in his metal building and highly recommended them and the lead tech on the job Corey Yates. Let me start by saying I didn't expect anyone to answer the phone at 4pm on a Saturday to give me a quote, but the owner, Mr. Ira did and was very transparent on pricing. We had a fantastic 30-minute conversation about almost every aspect of foam and fiberglass insulation you could think of. He ensured I understood the fundamentals of spray foam, air sealing, relative humidity (and the parameters that would warrant the need for a dehumidifier) and how ventilation is not needed when foaming the roof/attic of a home. We even talked ACs and getting an HVAC load testing done to right size my new construction home. This man is so knowledgeable, friendly and truly loves what he does. He even went as far to ensure that if I didn't go with him, to do my due diligence at sprayfoam.org and the LA State Board of Contractors. Who does that? Lol. He was great! My husband and I are not the type to write reviews online, but we feel as though this company has exceeded our expectations and more. My husband, Adrian, is in the HVAC business and has seen a lot of spray foam jobs gone wrong and was very leery about who we hire to spray our house. We then called Mr. Ira and he spoke to my husband for about an hour on the phone answering any questions we had for him. They sent a representative for the company out the same day to give us a quote. These people are professionals!!! We knew right then and there that we wanted them to do the job! The crew was so polite and walked us through any questions we had during the process. Mr. Ira has kept in touch with us before...during...and after to make sure we are 100% happy with the work that was done. It has been two days and our house feels completely different. We are 100% happy customers!!!! I will continue to recommend Sunlight Contractors to everyone we know!!

Applied Spray foam insulation to the bottom of my roof deck and gables, sealed the perimeter of my ceiling in the attic.
Fantastic!!! They were on time and worked 5-6 hrs. Nonstop! Totally cleaned up after they completed, they were very responsive and took care of my home like if it was their own, showed a lot of respect for my property! I contacted Sunlight because of the strong mildew odor in the house we just purchased. I have a particularly small crawl space and was impressed they were able to get under the house to offer a quote and subsequently perform the job. Their representative Ira was excellent to work with as were the young men that performed the actual service. Everyone was professional and friendly. The gentlemen performing the service were courteous and cleaned up after themselves when they were finished.

The odor is gone! Excellent Job.

This is an update to my review: In the beginning of September I had the spray foam installed in my attic and just the energy charge (does not include the fuel charge and everything else) was $199.35 and October's energy charge was $88.73. That is a SAVINGS of $110.62!!!! I highly recommend Sunlight Contractors and I don't regret having it done. It is so worth it.

They were there when they promised to give me an estimate. They answered all my questions that I had about the job and were very knowledgeable. After the removal of my old insulation they made sure everything was cleaned up from the hallway and the same for after they sprayed in the foam. I am glad with my choice and I highly recommend them.

I cant go on enough to rave on Sunlight! This was by far the best service I've received since recently buying my house. They are so knowledgeable about their product. They work with you through the whole step of the way. Corey and his men were so professional at my home and I didn't have to worry leaving them there. They cleaned up after and explained and showed me the finished attic and not just leaving when I arrived, Ira what can I say his superb customer service is the best in the business no pressure at all. Highly recommend Sunlight

I contacted Sunlight because my A/C constantly ran and would never shut off
during the day. In fact it wouldn't catch up till around 2 or 3:00 in the
morning. Ira sent me a lot of info and videos that were very helpful and Corey
came out and gave me an estimate that I was very pleased with. I decided to go
with the open foam insulation on the underside of my roof. On the morning of
the job when Alan and his crew showed up he explained to me everything they were going to be doing. They even covered up all of my stuff in the attic for me so they
wouldn't get any overspray on it. When they were finished they cleaned up so well
that I couldn't even tell they were ever there. Needless to say I am very happy
with the work that was performed. My A/C now runs a lot less. Can't wait to see
how much of a difference it makes on my electric bill. Ira and his staff are very professional and very easy to talk to. I would highly recommend Sunlight to anyone who needs this type of work done.

This was an amazing experience. As a first-time homebuyer, I was extremely nervous due to the cost of replacing a roof. Sunlight Contracting was not only super easy to work with and incredibly professional, but well-priced, especially for the job. They showed up on a Monday and finished that same day, replacing my crumbling shingles with architectural shingles on a 2,800 square foot roof. And they did it in just about 8 hours. Incredible. Ira kept me apprised of everything throughout the process and there were no surprises. His team even cleaned up almost every bit of scrap. They even cleaned up some messes I had left in the yard, and swept my back deck. I will definitely be calling Ira and his team at Sunlight Contracting for more work in the future!

I was very pleased with the job done by Sunlight Contractors at my house the other day. They installed spray foam under my floors, and I have already noticed the difference. They did a good job of explaining to me the benefits of closed cell vs. open cell spray foam for under my house, and they were very professional with the installation. They were right on time and completed the job early. I would definitely recommend Sunlight Contractors! I am very happy with their work.

Sunlight Contractors was prompt in responding and very communicative throughout the quoting process. During the removal of the existing insulation, the crew found quite a bit of unexpected construction debris in the attic that they worked their tails off to remove. In the end, our house wasn’t the best candidate for spray foam. Ira came out to go over the options and we decided that if we were to move forward there would be too much risk of issues down the line. Ira refunded my deposit money and is coming back to replace the insulation that was taken out. Even though the end result was not what was expected, Ira made it right in the end and that is a sign of an upstanding company.

Sunlight Contractors is a very professional company to work with. The crew was on time and cleaned up very well after they were finished. I've had my spray foam for almost a year now. The difference I see in my energy bill is unbelievable. Last year during the summer months, prior to the install, my bill was right around $250 dollars. This year I did not pay over $140 in the hottest part of the summer. My air condition is running much less and my home is overall so much more comfortable. I would highly recommend this company!

Ira Bosh is a great person. Not only did they do the job at hand, but they helped me with a gutter spout that had come off in the wind. The guys repaired it and secured it. Ira had all of the equipment at the site and made sure his guys had lots of water and safety equipment was in place as well. The guys cleaned and repaired our roof in a very timely fashion. The owner, Ira, is a consummate professional. I had multiple holes in my roof during Hurricane Ida and needed someone to remove the blown in insulation, remove a ceiling, and spray for mold. He was the only contractor post Hurricane Ida that was straightforward, honest, and ensured the job was done to completion. When you hire Sunlight Contractors, you are hiring a team of hard workers. Ira is there in the throughout the project to make sure the project is completed to the customer’s satisfaction. Ira and his team also have decades of experience are able to ascertain what needs to happen to remedy the problem. I would definitely hire Sunlight Contractors again to do construction jobs at my house.

From Start to finish they followed through on everything they said that they would do, their communication was excellent. The same day that I received the quote I also received an email with their proof of insurance, and a very thorough explanation of the material that they use. I felt much more informed about what I was purchasing and who I was purchasing it from.

We have saved about 30-40% on our electrical bill! Not to mention it is much quieter in the house. You cant hear the "outside" noise as much. That was an unexpected bonus!!!
