We very rarely write reviews but we felt compelled to let other homeowners know of our exceptional experience with Greenleaf Construction Baltimore.

When interviewing GCs for our Baltimore City renovation, we were very impressed with Greenleaf’s George, Nick, Derrick, et al. Even at that early point they seemed to stand out from the rest and we felt immediately comfortable. By the time our project with them completed our first impressions were confirmed to put it mildly; we were utterly amazed at this company’s work ethic, culture of quality, project management, communication skills, and extraordinary dedication to their craft and their clients.

We have a mid-century ranch house and undertook a stylistically important remodeling of the kitchen and the rest of the northwest half of the home. In the end the project completed on time, on budget, and just as we dreamed. Even the most carefully planned projects will require mid-course corrections and changes to scope or implementation, and in our case this was always handled with Greenleaf as a sensitive and receptive partner, whether at the project management level, or tactically in real time with Joe and Rob, two of their excellent carpenters that worked our project. These folks are in your home every single day, and with Greenleaf this formed relationships built from trust and understanding.

We’ve all heard the general contractor horror stories of budget and schedule overruns, scope disagreements, poor communications, and poor quality work (if work gets finished at all). In this industry Greenleaf as a company, and every one of their employees, stand out as exceptions that should be modeled by others.

We cannot overstate our satisfaction with the experience and the entire project. Greenleaf’s Jelani and Leigh skillfully kept us on track, ensuring that we were not in the critical path. Problem solving was always a team effort and we felt part of that team. If we had an idea (and let’s face it, home owners can come up with crazy stuff sometimes), Derrick or George were always eager to think through all the options for how it could work. No idea was disregarded. Their communication with us and amongst themselves was incomparable. If we voiced something in the afternoon or end of the day, it had already been communicated throughout all the stakeholders by morning. Their processes and personal approaches ensured everyone was always onboard and on the same page all the time. How many people can actually say that about their experience with a contractor?

We were lucky to discover Greenleaf, an exceptional company of genuinely good people; we clearly made the best choice by entrusting them with our project.

We can’t say enough about our experience with Greenleaf. They built us a brand new garage, and the finished product looks like it’s always been there which is a good thing given that our home is over 100 years old. We chose Greenleaf because the owner is an engaged member of this community. He is a Gilman grad, and an active member at his church. When he came to our home, he made me , the wife, comfortable in my own home. That’s a unique gift of hospitality that he embodies. The uniqueness does not stop there. His craftsperson’s such as Chris and Yesus are excellent, on-time, neat, and pleasant. The communication with the architect, Ryan Eubanks, was excellent and it continued until the project was completed. We were not inconvenienced in any way by working with Greenleaf. We would use them again and refer our friends and neighbors to them too.

I contacted Greenleaf after a steam pipe burst in my Historic Lutherville home, causing extensive damage to our rear entry foyer and powder room. Chase and his crew from Greenleaf did a fantastic job from start to Finnish. Chase provided an easy to understand and follow scope of work and contract, and ensured everything was executed to perfection with minimal impact to my family. Greenleaf recently completed construction on our basement and some touch ups in our upstairs bedrooms and we could not be happier! Their work and professionalism is inimitable. We started the project when our newborn was 2 weeks old and we have two older kids as well, so we needed a team that we could fully trust — and Greenleaf absolutely delivered. From the very beginning, they were professional, responsive, and incredibly respectful of our time and space (which was especially important with a newborn in the house!). Chase and his crew did an amazing job for us! We had our living room and master bath redone. They have transformed the space from ugly and awkward to beautiful! I can't say enough good things about Chase and all the people who worked on our house. Electricians, plumber, drywall guys, painters-everyone was friendly and diligent. They kept the work areas immaculate, the attention to detail was minute and every job was done right. Chase was even more meticulous and we could trust him to handle the details and make everything look fabulous. He always went above and beyond for us and we appreciate it. As good as it gets! We did due diligence before selecting GLC and couldn't be happier with the outcome - a beautiful new, carefully designed and well constructed addition. GLC is details oriented - which is what you want in a contractor - and they were highly responsive - from pre-launch to closeout - to our wishes and needs.

We recently finished a project with Greenleaf converting a three season room into a part of our house. The quality of work is fantastic. The end result exceeded our expectations. We use this new space everyday.

Greenleaf sealed our old basement and did a complete renovation of our bathroom. Their work was top-notch and they were well-organized and responsive. They balanced getting our input with providing their expertise and guidance.

My wife and I are both architects and our number one choice has always been Greenleaf Construction, knowing the quality of their work, attention to detail and the care they give to their projects. He honored the historical character of the space while adding smart, seamless updates that feel both timeless and functional. His craftsmanship is impeccable, and his kindness meant the world to us. John was also incredibly kind to our dogs, especially during a time when we were grieving the loss of one of them. His warmth and gentleness didn’t go unnoticed. It meant so much to our family.

We hit some serious life bumps during the renovation with that loss then my needing orthopedic surgery. Through it all, the crew showed so much compassion and flexibility. They made accommodations without hesitation and never once made me feel like I was a burden. That kind of empathy is rare in this industry.

Huge thanks to Ryan and Derrick for their unwavering support, steady communication, and making the entire process smooth from start to finish. Every contractor says they’re “full-service,” but this team truly lived up to that promise—with heart, skill, and integrity.

I contacted Greenleaf because of their reputation for expertise with older homes. Bruce Curtis and his team worked with us to address a number of serious water damage and deterioration issues. The end result was a near complete rebuild of our sunroom/family room which ended up involving electrical as well. The subcontractors and workers were all great, pleasant and respectful of our ongoing needs. I wanted this job done right, and I am happy with the results. The room looks great, is now sound and solid, and is much more comfortable.

I am an interior designer who has worked with the Greenleaf team a number of times, and I can't speak highly enough about them! They are great to work with - communicative, organized and timely - and every client I've had who has worked with them has had a great experience.
