Just completed the process of getting solar panels, an attic fan, and a solar light. Everyone from Larry (our salesman), to the people who answer the phones, to the installers, were just wonderful. It was such a smooth process and I am so happy with the results. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to get solar panels!

Had Power Factor install a outdoor security light on the back of my residence for 1/4 of what bge home wanted. These guys did a top noch job. Would recommend.

Edited, after a few years this week something fell and knocked a bolt loose making the light hang loose, got in touch and they were very prompt in fixing the problem. Great company that came through and treated us right.

Power Factor agent just left. Signed up for a Solar attic exhaust fan. In 2 years I will get back in credits more then what I paid for the fan and installation. Their 8 panel solar system sounds great. Want to do more research, but will probably sign after I see how the exhaust fan works. Hey a 10 year fan warranty with a 10 year installation warranty, yet over $300 less then BGE. Wow..

These guys gave us a great price on new construction bathroom exhaust fan and a new hallway light fixture (replacing original that was from 1950). The electrician that came out was efficient and very friendly. My only regret is that we didn't call these guys sooner. Next time we will skip getting multiple estimates and make one call to Power Factor.

I received a quote for replacing an entrance service cable and grounding from Power Factor and they performed the work. I sent over a description of exactly what needed to be done and they gave me a reasonable price. The electrician was professional and in the end, did a great job. Ciara helped me with setting everything up and worked her butt off to schedule the work as soon as possible and scheduling BGE and city inspector to come out to review the work. I was able to handle everything through email and via phone. I highly recommend them for their customer service and quality and would use them again for other projects if needed.

We had two lights installed several years ago and we have been very happy with the product! We recently had him come back out for a leak. They honored the warranty, identified the problem and made the repair quickly. Great local business to work with!

Why 5 Stars?
Initially, I met Cary when he installed panels in my neighborhood. He gave me a quote and explained all the details. I liked that he never pushed me to buy immediately but gave me the time to decide. Almost a year later, I got in touch with him again. It was a smooth process, we got one more quote, and designed a system for the right price which gave us the option for us to scale the system down the line with storage. (1st Star)

They have a wonderful execution team. They did the permits with county on time as promised, and scheduled installation. Their installation team was on time at my house, did a wonderful job of installing the Gateway, and Panels on my roof.
They took care of interconnection with BGE. (2nd Star)

For the State Solar Credits, there were additional documentation required on permits, which Christina @ Power Factor took care of it immediately. (3rd Star)

They use enphase micro-inverters mostly or always I think, which is a great system compared to other string inverters, and they have a good set of solar panels to match with these micro inverters. Their choice of components show they work only with the components that are of good quality and standard. (4th Star)

Though they had a ran out of micro-inverters on my installation date, Cary put me on a system with for the Scheduled Installation date, and later replaced the micro-inverters per our original spec/contract after 2 months as promised. (5th Star)

Overall I am just amazed with the dedication this team has shown in addressing my concern. On Time in resolving customer issues. Very clear in setting expectation with the customer.
Even if there are few mistakes they are honest and quick to correct it. Which is great indicator that Power Factor will keep getting new customers, retain and grow its Customer Base.

I waited a little before writing a review. I wanted to provide a full picture. We wanted to put solar panels on our home. Starting July of 2016 we did our due diligence. Called all around got prices and got a feel for their customer service. Power Factor won us over hands down. The price was competitive, their sales person was knowledgeable and forthcoming. Once the deal was signed the installation went off without a hitch in October 2016. It is now October of 2017 I am still super happy with choosing Power Factor, much of that is due to Christina. Any minor hiccups in the system and she is on top of it. If you are thinking about going solar I would say talk to them. If you are asking is it worth I will say during the summer my electric bill easily topped $275 this summer it was $35. I think i will add battery backups soon and if I do I know who to call.

Power Factor replaced my non-working micro-inverter. Everyone I dealt with, both the lady in the office and the two installers they sent to my home, were very professional and knowledgable. They did their work expeditiously, and I appreciate that they stayed to make sure the system updated, and that it was working before they left. I had my solar installed in 2010. My original installer isn't around anymore, and the company that did a repair for me in 2018 told me they are now only doing repairs on systems they installed (not mine). I was worried about finding a repair company who would do a repair on a system they didn't install, but Power Factor came through! I feel confident to recommend this company for anyone looking to install solar.

I'm going to get right to the point - Power Factor is incredible! I can't sing their praises enough.

Unfortunately, we had a storm come through and wreck our historic home's" lifetime shingles" on our roof. Gratefully, insurance paid for the replacement of the roof under our homeowner's warranty. It was during this time that we considered the idea of adding solar to our home. The crew from Power Factor was able to work with our roofers to build a system that would work well for us. They addressed concerns of mine, needs for our system, and goals as well. For me, solar was more about the long-term financial savings.

The system they design is great. It would cover the entirety of my electrical demand for 6 months out of the year plus some. Like many things though there were speed bumps along the way due to the age of our home any unusual electrical setup we had. Multiple electrical boxes needed to be removed/consolidated and the addition of a new electrical system would just add more electrical boxes to our home. My desire to make The electrical setup leaner and more efficient was recognized in the planning phase but lost in the final plans. To Power Factors credit, they stepped up and made the corrections at their own expense. This was not a small correction and I want to emphasize how important it was to me early on how expensive it was to them to make things right. It's very infrequent that a company stands by its word but Power Factor did that and then some.

An electrician from Power Factor came to our home and looked over the areas of concern and issues after the solar installation had taken place. The system itself was great. The goal of reducing the electrical boxes and panels not taking place was the issue. After a walk around our home, questions about my goals and desires, and a promise to make things right- Power Factor did exactly that. They made it right. Little did I know at the time, the electrician I was speaking to was the owner of the company!

Shortly thereafter, the team from Power Factor came out and did what they promised to do and more! All the old extra electrical boxes were reduced and/or replaced, new power lines run throughout my home, and new electrical hookups incorporated into my system for my generators.

I've had my system now for a year and overall, I'm very happy. Power Factor has met the goals of what my system would offer as well as fulfilling and exceeding my requests for my home. They're one of the only companies that I've worked with that I would wholeheartedly endorse.
