Groundshog Landscaping transformed our entire outdoor landscape with beautifully laid plantings, trees, a large paver patio, walkways and a stone porch. As an engineer, I appreciated the precise way the crew laid the paver foundation to assure long-lasting beauty. They involved me throughout the project so that the results reflect my vision. And if anything needed adjusting, Groundshog went all out to make it perfect.

I hired Groundshog to fix some ongoing drainage issues around our townhome, including poor downspout drainage, sagging concrete, and overall bad water flow. From the start, the process was straightforward and smooth.

My contact was reliable and communicative. Everything was clearly explained up front, they showed up when they said they would, and there were no surprises. Because of that, the project never turned into something stressful.

The crew was great — hardworking, professional, and clearly knew what they were doing. They moved efficiently and took care of the property while they worked.

At the end, the lead took the time to explain what was done and why, and didn’t rush through it, even when I had a bunch of questions.

The finished result made a real difference. We now have a proper sidewalk along the side of our house, and the drainage from the downspouts is finally handled correctly. No more downspout extensions crossing the walkway or creating a safety issue.

Overall, Groundshog did exactly what they said they would do. Solid work, good communication, and a smooth experience from start to finish. I’d absolutely recommend them

Groundshog Landscaping installed a paver driveway after removing our old asphalt driveway. David Snyder their sales manager was great to work with and generated several computer images of what the driveway would look like that helped us visualize the finished job. The same crew worked the project through some very cold days in December. They worked hard and were quite competent and meticulous in laying the pavers. The finished driveway looked just like the computer representation. We really love the finished product. The crew went beyond the contract and added mulch to the new bed that was created at the end of the driveway. Their cleanup at the end of the job was quite thorough. We've been in this house 27 years and never had a firm that was so easy and pleasant to work with and that did what they said they would. Despite coming across some unexpected items (like a 18 foot deep pit under the old driveway that they had to fill in) there were no add-ons to the contract. We also liked that the firm is local, which made the logistics easier. Finally, the crew practiced good safety including always wearing hearing protection when operating noisy equipment. We would hiring them again in a heartbeat if other projects come up.

From start to finish Groundshog has been excellent. From my 1st phone call to Joe and then with David and his site crews the process was smooth. Communication was fantastic and the quality of work was far above what most would do.

We had to replace a sewer line that included the destruction of our walkway and a large section of the front yard being torn up. Once the plumbers were done David has their crew out to prep for the replacement of the walkway. The fact that they used rebar to dowel in to the existing concrete and they used wire mesh and rebar in the new walkway prep - you don’t see companies doing that these days!

They completed the work in just a few days from concrete removal to forming up the new walkway and then the install of the sod.

Steven, Tre'Sean, and Dvonte are real gems. This team was so professional and great to work with. They did not leave anything undone. This team made sure our yard was magnificent. I even asked them if they could be our weekly team. That is how great and very well-mannered these gentleman were. I can not forget about Kristen the wonderful lady in the office. She goes over and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. I can not thank this awesome team enough. This team as a whole made us feel like we were part of the Edwards family and not just a number. Edwards lawn service. The mowing department is the best. Davon and Travis is a Wonderfull team. I’ve never had my grass total cut done so well …. thank you. I have to say fine touches like taking care of grass growing within the cement, your sidewalk, your driveway, even cleaning out the grass within your outside basement steps. They do all they can to satisfy and make your yard look beautiful. The team is not like anyone else. Give them a try.

I had Edward's clean up our flower beds and mulch. They were right on schedule and did a great job. I will recommend them to my friends and neighbors. The entire process from estimate through completion was great. I won't hesitate to use them again.

Switched to Edward's for our grass cutting a few years ago after bad experience with a number of lawn care companies. They are a little more expensive but worth every penny when judged by the quality of their work.

Our crew leader, Marcus, has a "can do" attitude and will go the extra mile to make you happy. If you want something done, all you have to do is ask. The crew works as a true team and is in and out lickety split, leaving the property looking meticulous.

A truly unusual feature of Edward's is their Operations Coordinator, Kristin, who keeps direct communication with all customers regarding any changes in the cutting schedule. You are never in a quandary as to what's going on. Should you have a question, all you have to do is call and Kristin will be there to provide an answer.

I am very particular regarding the appearance of our property and not easy to please. To say I will be with Edward's for years to come aught to say something!

The men working on my yard were very accommodating and worked well- they were conscientious and quick. They did a good job. The problem I had, though, was the heavy rain we got that evening which washed away most of the mulch. I have a slight slope but didn't expect that much mulch to get washed away. Any suggestions?

Marcus and his crew always do a thorough job with the mowing service they provide. They are respectful of my property and leave everything tidy.

Edwards has provided reliably good lawn service for our home and I wanted to give some praise and thanks to Marcus and his crew for the extra attention the last two cuttings. Although it was very wet two weeks ago, Marcus took his time to ensure that our lawn looked good. This week, he was able to fully cut and edge our lawn and it has never looked better for this time of year. He even went above and beyond by overseeding some bare areas. This saved me a trip to Ace and allowed me to complete a honey do list item for October. thanks again for great service at our home.

Ok, so, as always, my honest review!! This company isn't bad with that being said they could be MUCH better!! THEY charged me $115 which is my " first time customer mowing fee" then they're scheduled to come service my lawn every week if needed $49 dollars . I was told they take that $49 out every month at the end of the month which would have been $196 . They sent 3 Workers to come mow my lawn , I left my back door unlocked but closed so they wouldn't have to climb over the gate. They did a really poor job to the front lawn but the back yard they did a decent job .I took a video with explaining my gripe and sent it to them , they sent two men out two days later to attempt to fix the problem but didn't fix anything.
The problem wasn't the hedged it was the actual mowing I still had tall grass in the side of my house and in the front , I felt like they rushed that's one of the reasons the job wasn't done proficiently! Then they left my back door wide open when I arrive home thank God I live in a decent neighborhood no one came in my back yard to steal anything. I'm big on first impressions especially when I'm paying my hard earned money I'm also big on leaving things in an better position or as they were when you're finished they did neither so I'm ending my contract . I tried to upload my video but it only allowed me to upload photos and I don't have photos only a video.
They received a 2 star because they did come back and attempted to rectify the issue but failed a second time.

I’ve been using Edward’s for over a year. Marcus’ crew does a great job. The yard looks fantastic every time. They do a great job of communicating when there are potential issue (such as rain) and they are flexible to work with. I’d recommend Edwards to anyone in the area looking for a lawn service.
