We have been absolutely plagued with herds of deer since we built our home a year ago. Our lot was the last to sell in the neighborhood and I believe because of this the yard had become a daily commuters route for the deer that travel from one side of the park to the other. This spring it became very evident that our newly planted landscaping was being devoured. We exhausted several other options before finally taking the recommendation of our landscape architect to hire the incredible staff at Scientific to resolve the problem.
The impact was absolutely immediate. We are now literally watching the herd divide itself and travel in a wide circle around our property lines. They haven’t touched a single newly blooming shrub or tree. I even took the risk of planting fruit trees and small dogwoods within just a few feet of the tree line. Not even a hoof print!
This company should be called Magical Plant Service. I’ve already recommended them to several friends and neighbors. My only regret is that we didn’t hire them sooner.

We have been using Scientific Plant for several years. They have helped with some problems with shrubs and they look great even after the rough winter. Love these guys!

Scientific Plant Service has helped us tremendously with our trees, that have been under attack by borers and bark beetles. They inspect regularly and treat when needed. They are responsive to emerging issues and very knowledgeable. This is very different from most companies, who just send someone out to treat on a schedule. We are very happy with the results and how they are always willing to talk to us and explain.

Very happy with our first service with SPS. They responded to our request for service quickly, provided a detailed professional opinion and started treatment for our landscaping nearly immediately. We look forward to continuing to use SPS for maintaining the health of our yard.

Their office staff consistently provides exceptional service, care, and attention to the individuals who carry out the tasks. I am very satisfied with this company. Customer service people and the lawn technicians are friendly and knowledgeable. After my first application last year I still had a few weeds pop up. They came the day after I called and took care of them. My lawn is green and healthy. I highly recommend Scientific Plant Services Inc.

I saw your truck leaving my driveway and this is how I knew that you were here. Is it not necessary to know someone is here unless there is something that I need to do in follow-up. I am told ahead of time that someone is coming for a service and that is fine. I was told yesterday that my lawn was seeded and I did not even know. so, it would have been nice to know since I probably should hhave been watering the lawns.

Tony from Scientific Plant Service came out on Monday and sprayed my pines for bag worms. He took his time making sure that he got every bit of the tree. He was very patient and explained fully what needed to be done to keep them healthy. I highly recommend their services. They are professional and financially friendly.

Great communication from the company by email and by text on when they are coming to perform the work so you can prepare for children and pets to stay away from the application. Professional service and no issues. Trying to maintain our weeping cherry tree with a 50-ft canopy that brings onlookers each year to photograph. So far so good.

Many years ago we used Scientific Plant Service to save our giant oak trees. They came out, without fail, to spray annually until the gypsy caterpillars finally died out. When we noticed something odd going on this fall, with those same oaks, we immediately thought of Scientific Plant Service. Nick came out within days of my contacting them to examine our five oaks, as well as two young tulip poplars at my daughter's home close by. Within a few days I received an email with our proposal and all costs. Nick even priced the trees out individually in case we couldn't afford the total expense all at once. He also noted which trees should be the first to get our attention. I had some difficulty printing one of the pages and I called Lisa, their customer service representative and we resolved the problem. This company is trustworthy and efficient. I highly recommend them.

Update: Matt came out on Monday morning to feed our five oaks. He was friendly and efficient and we look forward to working with him again in the future.

I’ve need a customer of SPS for 5 years for shrubbery & tree treatment & lawn service (1acre) program. They’re always on time, courteous, do excellent work, taking great care to provide complete coverage. Excellent!

The associates are knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. They have assessed the problems with our trees, azaleas, and grass and treated them accordingly. Everything is thriving!! We have used the services that SPS provides for about five years and are satisfied!!

I am very pleased with the service and they help to take care the lawn issues and they also follow up the lawn issues been solved.

How many deer do you see in the photo? (There are 11 !) This was taken in the winter of 2021. Herds of deer would roam through our property nightly and devour our decorative landscaping, including right next to our front door! We signed up with Md.SPS in Oct 2022 for a monthly application program. We have not seen a single deer on our property since the first application! And our neighbors also say they think there is something wrong because they have stopped seeing deer in their yards! We are completely sold on the Scientific Plant Service program.

This company does a great job. I’ve had a lot of deer issues at my property. Tony took care of treating the trees and called me to explain everything very thoroughly. He went above and beyond!

This was our 3rd treatment to a very large Silver Maple tree. The technician was professional and prompt. All 3 technicians have done great work, were professional, polite and listened to my concerns about my animals. Would recommend them for any tree work for bugs.

My lovely dogwood was looking sad, not her usual bright self. Scientific Plant came to my garden and diagnosed the problem. My tree was treated to three doses and is once again her shining self!
