Over 1 year update: this review stands. We do finally have a competent customer service agency on the case who is responsive and helpful. Panels are still in my backyard. I also am in discussion with the company over the fact that they have been billing us this entire time for the same amount when the unit has actually been turned off. In the contract it says they will bill an estimate in this scenario, however also mentions we should not be billed if fault is on the company. CS1 continues to be unable to find any leaks. The inside of my porch remains damaged. 2 month update: This review stands as written. The Customer escalation team has been of no help. I cannot get a return call. One arm of the company does not talk to the other. The panels have been sitting in my back yard for 6 months and my roof is still leaking. Horrific experience with this company. After our roof started leaking due to the placement of the panels it took months to get someone to respond. They sent out a roofing contractor who did a horrible job and now the roof leak is worse. Cannot get anyone from sunrun to respond to our multiple emails and phone calls.

My July bill is 4 times the amount it should be looking at the solar production on my account. My account shows 694kw ($98.89) of production for July, Sunrun is billing me for 2,916kw ($415.47). Speaking with customer service they could not provide me with an reason for the over charge, they stated I would get a call from the billing department within a week.

Update 10/13/25 SunRun still fails to contact me. It's been since the end of June 2025 since my solar has worked. Their customer service is horrible. Supervisors never call when they say they will. Today I called them after waiting yet another week when someone by the name of Adda was suppose to contact me. I cannot add to this review anymore I assume I am over the character limit. The owner of this company needs to go over his customer service policy, but I am sure he doesn't care either. This is a new/updated review. I don't take anything away from my original sales guy Jordan. Hands down Jordan is an awesome guy who doesn't work for SunRun anymore and to this day he will answer my text or phone call. SunRun needs to take some lessons from Jordan on customer service. Now since having the system for a little over 2 years I have to say I REGRET using SunRun 100%. Two years in a row during the peak months of the summer my solar system has failed to barely creating any energy. I have contacted SunRun and spoke with customer service two summers in a row. This year, June 2025 my system was performing well almost creating 1100 kWh just like the previous months and year besides the summer of 2024. July 2025 comes and my system is only producing 251 kWh. I call and talk to customer service, they send a text that says they are running a detailed diagnostic test that will take up to 3 days. I heard nothing. Approximately 8 days later I get a text that says "Our monitoring system has identified a system issue that requires maintenance and we would like to schedule a service appointment. I called customer service and they say a park has been ordered and I setup an appointment and had to wait more than a month for that appointment. During the weeks to follow I kept getting texts to create an appointment. I call customer service and they say nah your appointment is set. A few days later I get a text that says "Sending a final reminder to schedule your service appointment. I called customer service again and they say your still scheduled. Several weeks later I receive an email from a case manager from SunRun to introduce herself. She replies "It looks like there is an appointment that is ready to schedule for system maintenance. Is there a day of the week that usually works for you? I replied to the email with the copy of the text showing my appointment. The case manager replies and says "I apologize, I do see that you have a scheduled appointment. It looks like we had a duplicate case for you, but I've fixed it and notated that your appointment is scheduled. My scheduled appointment date 9/18/25 from 7am - 12pm and no technician showed up. I sent an email and called my case manager and said my concerns and how someone should have called me since they didn't show up. I have called my case manager several times leaving a message and her voicemail says she will contact you back within the next 24 hours. I received no calls only the one email. Now I am paying my SunRun monthly bill and my electric bill, which combined is well over my original electric bill before getting solar. So taking time off of work, multiple calls to customer service and emails to make sure my scheduled appointment isn't getting deleted it's costed me more time, money and headache. If I could have this solar system removed I would immediately. I will never recommend SunRun to anyone. In fact I have had family and friends ask about my solar and I have told them to stay away from SunRun solar. My original review was 5 stars for my sales guy Jordan and the system before having two system failures during peak season for two years in a row. Original Review First our sales rep Jordan was amazing. I had tons of questions and concerns and rest assure he had true answers for everything. The installation was perfect. Jordan made sure he was present and made sure that the conduit was ran exactly how I wanted it ran. I couldn't be happier with my choice for solar. Thank you Jordan and Sun Run team
