From the initial inspection and quote to the install for a new Heating system, the process went smoothly. On the day of install, Jose and Bob arrived on time and were very professional. They protected the floors and working area throughout the day, provided a clear understanding of the work, and left the job site in the same way as they started (very clean!). We are happy to be a customer with AVS since last 9 Years.

AMAZING SERVICE!!! During a heat wave with temperatures over 100, AVS was able to do a survey and install my system within 3 days!! My a/c was installed before others even called me back for a survey. AVS treated my home and my time with respect and care. Their workmanship was excellent. All around great experience. I suggest to everyone!

AVS did a great job repairing our AC condenser. We had originally worked with another company that recommended a full replacement as they could not get the machine to work. We called AVS for a second opinion and they were very technical, tried various methods and got us back cooling right before the summer. Thanks!

Right as our first snow of the season hi (1/15/24) our heating stopped working. We couldn’t find anyone to help in this weather. When we contacted AVS, they connected us to Neil. He was patient and instructive, and even FaceTimed us to troubleshoot everything that could have been wrong with our thermostat or system. He eventually helped us figure it out. We had an issue with the outside AC unit. We called them on a Friday night. Sam came on Saturday and did an excellent job. Have used AVS Heating and Air Conditioning before and plan to use them in the future.

I had a great experience with AVS. They were able to send someone same day to help fix our problem, which was huge, especially as it was just days after Christmas. Anil was very helpful. He was able to identify and fix the problem, and was very thorough. He made sure to double check everything, which turned out to be very important when there was more to the problem. Very satisfied with the service.

AVS has been great on multiple occasions for me with my refrigerators and my washer dryer. Very professional, very responsive and prompt, very effective in resolving problems and quite reasonable in their charges. I would highly recommend AVS to anyone in the DC - VA - MD region with mechanical or any other problems with household appliances.

AVS diagnosed and fixed my non-heating electric heat pump *same day that I called* on a cold February Sunday, and they were pleasant to work with and good communicators.

Aneal walked me through how he was diagnosing it at my request, was thorough in his checks, and replaced the fried electrical component (contacter) within an hour or so, getting my heat back on before a 25 degree night!

The component replaced was cheap in my case, so the majority of the cost was the labor and expertise, but the peace of mind of hiring and expert who checked more parts than I could and who had the replacement part on hand in their van was certainly worth it.

I had a great experience with Anil and Sayeed. My heat went off overnight (cold February night) on a federal holiday. Anil and Sayeed arrived within 3 hours of my call. Not only were they able to diagnose and fix the HVAC issue, but they had their colleague bring out a replacement part same-day from the warehouse. While we were waiting for the replacement part to arrive at the house, they also fixed my electric fireplace (that had not worked for years), checked my gas fireplace and checked my second furnace. Heat was restored to my house within 2-1/2 hours of their arrival. Both Anil and Sayeed displayed great technical knowledge and expertise based on their experience. We will use them again for future HVAC maintenance and repair needs as well as for fireplaces and other appliances (microwaves, etc.). Give AVS a try, given their prompt and great customer service, and the many positive reviews they have received.

We have been using avs for over 10 years across 3 houses and have always been very pleased with the technicians and their work. AVS is very responsive, timely, and dependable. Earlier this year we had a problem with our heating and AVS was able to get a technician out to us within 24 hours and had our heating working that evening. It ended up being a fairly easy fix and they charged us accordingly. I have recommended AVS to friends and family in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

Excellent service and Best Prices
Our 20 year old HVAC unit had a leak and was not working. We needed a brand new entire unit. Our close friend recommended AVS. Mr Anil was very prompt and courteous. His prices were very competitive and the work was completed next day in few hours. We couldn’t be more happy with his services and we can not recommend him enough. If you are experiencing HVAC troubles, call AVS. You will be happy you did.

I have never left a review for anything, ever, but AVS was so very awesome, I must speak up. Inspected and replaced my ancient decrepit (and dangerous) 30-year-old high efficiency gas furnace IN JUST 6 HOURS! Who does that? Really cared about me, price quite reasonable, very friendly, absolutely no complaints.

AVS Service Tech came the same day and within 2 hours took care of my Air conditioning. I left messages with many other companies and no one else called back. I am very happy with the service and will definitely recommend to others.

Great experience, was able to make an appointment and get it fixed the same day. Friendly and helpful. We need a new unit but hoping this bandaid makes it a few more months!

Vastly Overpriced

The gas sensor of a small heating unit in our apartment needed to be replaced. It took three attempts for them to eventually show up and they arrived with two technicians, which is unnecessary for a routine job like this.

It took about one hour to do the replacement and also carry out maintenance on the side. They charged us a whopping $488, saying that the part was very expensive. But in reality, you can buy the part online for less than $25. I guess, they took advantage of me not being at home and only my son who is not experienced in dealing with contractors being there.

I later called AVS's offices saying that the billing must be a mistake. However, they defended the price, claiming that it was normal and that they calculate internally with an hourly rate of $360. Again, you can search online what it usually costs to replace a gas sensor in the context of maintenance in the Washington area. It comes out as up to $200.

So, unless you have extra money to spend, I would not recommend AVS--I will certainly never call them again. On the bright side, the heating works fine now. Hence, two stars and not just one.

AVS was great! The technicians were timely and communicated with me when they were delayed. They diagnosed the problem fixed it immediately. I can’t say enough about how grateful I am to them for responding in such a professional manner.

We have used the services of AVS few times and they always handled our requests promptly and professionally. Anil, the owner of the company is very reliable and well trained in his area of expertise. He personally took my service request call. He even gave me advice on the phone, so that the system does not get damaged before coming out to fix the problem. He is very knowledgeable and is able to find the problem quickly and address it correctly. They are honest in their assessment and do not recommend unnecessary repairs to make money off you. The hottest day of the year and Mehdi at AVS stayed at my house until after 11pm trying to resolve a coil leak problem. His work ethic is phenomenal. He also bought two portable AC units for an interim solution. Their service and care is outstanding. Thank you, Mehdi.

I have used AVS at a neighbor's recommendation since 2022. What I like most about AVS is that their techs (Anil and others) explain the issues and concerns to me thoroughly, whereas in the past when I ask questions I have been told "you ask too many questions." Not Anil & company! They only issue I've ever had is folks being late or having to reschedule routine repair if another appt ran over, but you get this with any HVAC, plumber, electrician company, etc. across the DMV and it hasn't been a cause for real concern.

I met Anil several years ago, he has always managed to resolve any problem I experienced with my Whirlpool washer and dryer. I truly believe that his skills and experience is why my appliances have lasted for almost 30 years. When I needed to purchase new laundry equipment, I called him and he suggested which model would best fit my needs. A couple of years later, I am so grateful for his advice because I am enjoying my new laundry appliances. Recently I needed to replace an existing HVAC unit, so again, I called him for advice. Today, I am enjoying the comfort of a new HVAC unit and laundry appliances that are energy efficient as well as reasonable cost maintenance service. If you need household appliances serviced, I highly recommend this company for multiple years of knowledge and experience, quick professional service, and excellent customer service.
