Tree reviews in Cockeysville, Maryland

Tom and his crew were very polite, professional and got the job done in a timely matter. Highly recommend!!!

Tom Nicholson and his tree company are the best in the business. Over the years, I've hired many tree companies, but none compare to Tom and his crew. When we moved a couple of years ago, our property had extensive tree damage from a storm. Tom and his team cleared the fallen trees, cleaned up the property, and even saved damaged trees that are now thriving. I was impressed by how quick and efficient they were. As a professional arborist, Tom personally oversees the work, ensuring everything is done right. His knowledge of plants and trees is exceptional, and I completely trust him to handle any job. Tom's pricing is very reasonable, especially considering how much his crew accomplishes in a single day. They always leave my property looking better than before, spreading wood chips around the trees and seeding the grass. I've hired Tom multiple times, and he's the only one I trust to take care of my property. If you need tree services, I highly recommend Tom Nicholson and his team.

We have had Tom and his crew doing work for us this summer on a couple of occasions. They are efficient, thorough, and take excellent care of our property. This week, they removed a giant tulip poplar - 130 ft tall - located just 20 feet from our house. They cleaned up so well that one would hardly know it had been there.
Strongly recommend these guys. We'll certainly be calling Tom again.

While we did not use Nicholson for tree service, our neighbor did. While working on that property, they took the time to remove snow from the school bus stop across the street from where they were working allowing our kids a safe place to wait for the bus. Little deeds go a long way and this was very much appreciated. If we ever need tree service, we'll definitely reach out! Thank you!

After our recent storms, we had a few very large broken branches that were still attached to tall trees. The crew came in and efficiently cleaned everything up. Good, friendly service at a reasonable price.

Well, Adam, and Ruben did a great job pruning the trees lining our drive and removing a dead tree in the back. Great team – really professional and made sure I was happy with every area they worked on. Will absolutely call them again.

Excellent lawn and tree service. Been using them for years.

Jorge and Adam were great - they were careful of the trees' health and conscientious about the work. Davey is an awesome company - I've been working with Paul Herb for years to keep my trees healthy. Highly recommend!

Professional, hardworking team did an amazing job trimming our large trees and removing two dead ones. Highly recommend.

Jorge and Matt came this morning to prune a 15+ foot ivy tree, and a very large Rose of Sharon (probably planted in the 1960s and very dear to my heart). They did such a fabulous job! Jorge consulted me often about shaping, trimming thoughtfully and with great care. Eric, my Davey arborist promised he’d send me the experts and he did! Many thanks for another great job!

Thank you to Paul H and Matt S for their advice about and treatment of the beautiful mature trees we get to enjoy every day.

Adam, Jared, Ruben, and Matt were wonderful! They followed up to make sure we were happy with the service and cleaned up before leaving.

We had another team out for the stump removal with the same great service.
Jorge V & Matt F reviewed the scope of work, answered all my questions, and made sure everything was cleaned up before leaving.

Will and Ruben did a great job today. After first listening to our concerns, they did a fantastic job trimming and pruning our cherry tree as well as our red maple.

A fantastic job. Crew very accommodating and professional.

Will, Reuben, and Adam did a fantastic job today pruning our huge willow tree. They cleaned up, not leaving a stitch of debris. Extremely professional, efficient, and personable. Many tree companies out there but we will continue to use Davey.

From sales to service completion excellent service! Paul is top notch!

Thank you and great job planting new trees and previous new tree planting job to Jorge and Mathew.

Prompt call back on my initial inquiry, knowledgeable and friendly tree expert for the consultation and prompt scheduling of treatment once issue with the trees was diagnosed.

Will, Jason, and Adam, came out and got to work so quickly on the tree. They were all professional, knowledgeable and courteous, and really got the job done right. Very happy with their work and highly recommend!

Davey did a good job removing a couple of medium sized mulberry trees from my yard, and trimming two others. They used a bucket truck to reach things. They were careful, and didn't damage any of the plants below. Everything was cleaned up afterwards. I wanted to keep most of the wood for firewood, and at at my request they cut the logs into easy-to-handle one-foot lengths and filled my garden cart with mulch.

They sent an arborist first, to plan the job. This was very helpful because I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to do--I just knew I needed to thin out a row of trees that had gotten too big for the space. In the end I was very satisfied with the work.

We had a 40’+ tall black walnut tree start to die and tilt, Todd and the Davey crew came out, evaluated the damage and gave us several very competitive options. In the end we decided to remove the tree and we have never seen a team of 4-5 act in such a safe and professional manner. 4+ hours and from the safety briefing to the clean up these guys never missed a beat, there was 100 ways to make a mistake and by acting as a team they performed a safe and efficient tree removal. OSHA would be proud of this crew.
